    Hawaiian Lamb donair
    Katherine T.

I tried this spot back in 2019 when I visited Vancouver, but never got the chance to write a review. It's a very hole in the wall spot, and there wasn't much of a wait when we got there. It was the first time I had ever tried a donair and it was SO good, hands-down my favorite meal of the trip. I ordered the Hawaiian Lamb Donair and I enjoyed it so much that I went back the same night to buy another one to eat at the airport the next day. Waiting for the day I can go back and have it again

My new favorite Donair in Vancouver! Delicious, clean, very nice people. The whole family loves it!

    Special. Beef donair combo $8.50

Fast service and great food. Portion was big. So glad that owner didn't charge me extra on Tabouleh (parsley salad) and donair was so delicious. Had to wait for fries, but totally worth waiting for. Their fries were fresh and crispy which reminded me of Costco fries. So delicious and inexpensive. Get your stamp card and collect 9 stamps for a free food.

This little hole-in-the-wall offers some pretty amazing donair at very reasonable prices. If you're in Vancouver and you're looking for legit Mediterranean food that won't break the bank, this is the place.

Chicken Donair Lebanese style (with hummus and tabouli) - regular size was plenty filling for 2!

Stopped in for a quick lunch. 2 of us split the regular size Lebanese chicken Donair, which the owner marinated himself. (The beef and lamb options are standard factory Donair fare like everywhere else.) The regular size was plenty filling for both of us. Food was fresh, meat was moist, and nicely finished on the griddle. Customer service by the owner was friendly and it was great that he shared how he prepares his food. Will definitely be back!

I found this location while searching for halal food when I was walking to Stanley Park. I had food from this location twice on my trip and the consistency was maintained. This here my friend was one of my best experience of donair kabab in Canada. The portion sizes were great. The plate came with plenty of tender juicy meat topped with garlic and hot sauce sided with rice, hummus, salad and pita bread. I had the mix plate and both the chicken and beef were cooked well and were tender. The person was friendly and the food didn't take much time at all. The seating area is very small, so you are better off taking away your food. Overall, good experience! P.S for my Muslim folks they serve Halal meat here.

Price: $7-$10/ donair Parking: Street meter parking Wait time: 5-10 minutes Ambience: To go type restaurant Would I return: Absolutely My favourite donair to get here is the original chicken donair. All donairs come with their regular toppings which include lettuce, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, garlic sauce, tzatziki sauce and hot sauce. You are able to customize which regular toppings you don't want to include in your donair. Their menu offers donairs that come with additional toppings in addition to their regular toppings. Some additional topping options include a Greek donair with feta and olives, a Hawaiian donair with pineapple and sweet sauce as well as a Caribbean donair with tabouli and jalapeño pepper. The restaurant is fairly small so I would recommend getting your food to go. On busy days the wait may be a bit longer as the restaurant cannot handle high volumes of orders. Their donairs are extremely tasty and full of flavour. Be warned the donairs may be messy to eat, so be prepared to get your hands dirty. I have tried Donair Dude the other popular donair restaurant in the city and I definitely like Donair Town better. I drop by this place every time I'm in the area.

    Lamb and Chicken Donair

Absolute must stop for donair around Stanley park area. I had the chicken and lamb mix donair with all toppings in Lebanese style. Lebanese adds Tabouli and Hummus. Portion was huge and its very filling. Would most definitely come back 10/10

    Lebanese Chicken Shawarma
    Sofia K.

This is literally my favourite place to go for shawarma. The Lebanese chicken shawarma is so good. Amazing value for your dollar and the food is SO delicious. Ask for the fries with garlic sauce as well and you will have an awesome meal. For real, the only legitimate shawarma place in Vancouver.

The lamb is the way to go!

The location itself is beautiful, situated right on the water with a modern, stylish design. We chose to sit outside, and despite it being a cool Vancouver evening, we were perfectly comfortable thanks to the outdoor heaters. The seating was especially nice, with cushioned lounge-style chairs that felt clean, comfortable, and inviting. Between the waterfront setting, cozy seating, and heaters, it was a wonderful atmosphere. To start, I ordered a frozen sangria, which is one of my favorite drinks. It was absolutely delicious, perfectly frozen, smooth, and refreshing without being overly sweet. It was garnished with a slice of orange and was one of the better sangrias I've had. We also ordered the crab dip, and it was outstanding. Honestly, it was chef's kiss perfect. I devoured almost all of it and was actually a little disappointed that my son had eaten some of the chips because I still had dip left at the end and wanted every last bite. It was creamy, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened chicken, and I was genuinely blown away. I've eaten chicken dishes all over the world, and this was some of the best chicken I've ever had. It was incredibly moist, juicy, and packed with flavor. The seasoning was excellent, and it was grilled to perfection. I wasn't expecting such a simple dish to be so memorable. The roasted potatoes underneath were delicious, and even the asparagus which I wasn't initially excited about, it worked perfectly with the dish. In fact, I ordered a side kale salad because I wasn't sure I'd enjoy the asparagus, but the entire plate came together beautifully. Every component complemented the others, creating a meal that was both flavorful and satisfying. My son ordered a burger and said it was very good as well. The restaurant does get busy, and there was a short wait when we arrived, but it was only about 10 minutes. We timed it well and were seated fairly quickly. Once seated, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly despite how busy the restaurant was. Between the waterfront location, comfortable atmosphere, excellent service, and truly exceptional food, this was easily one of the highlights of our Vancouver trip. If I ever find myself back in Vancouver, I will absolutely return. This wasn't just a great meal....it was one of the best dining experiences I've had anywhere.

Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. Their space is pretty big and can easily accomodate a big group. Most of their items are also family-style shareables, making it a perfect place to go in groups! We started the meal with their special Yemeni coffee, it was so different! It had a light caramel colour, wasn't too sweet but more on the acidic side. It was presented in a gold tray with their traditional Yemeni coffee kettle and dates. For starters we got their Yemeni bread (super soft and HUGE) with hummus and a fava bean dip. Both were pretty good! For mains, I got their spicy beef with hummus and their Yemeni bread. The beef was cooked very well and was certainly flavourful. The interior of the restaurant was also very nicely decorated. I do think Saba Foods is fancier than other places I've been to while exploring new cuisines and I personally prefer a more casual dining experience. As for the food, the portion sizes were very generous (though I did see other diners ordering individually). I shared the haneeth and saltah with a friend as well as got the kunafa and bint al sahen for dessert. The lamb was very tender and fell off the bone and the saltah came in a bubbling pot. I think the presentation of each dish was beautiful and was representative of its quality. My favourite dish was definitely the haneeth; it had a good combination of meat, rice, and vegetables. My reason for the missing star would be price point (total came around to $55 per person) as well as flavour as I'm used to having very flavorful dishes from other cuisines. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who hasn't tried Yemeni food before though!

The portion was good and everything was delicious. I'm GF, and they serve the dips with lettuce for free (or you can order a side of cucumbers for a small charge). The presentation was lovely. The only thing I didn't like was after a while all of the dips just get mushed together and you kinda don't know what you're eating anymore...Also we all loved the jalapeno hummus the most. I asked for an empty glass for mixing in addition to another drinking glass because mine was broken (crack was big and the glass should be chucked out). Server forgot to get an empty mixing glass. We ordered a taouk pita wrap, but we got served a taouk platter instead. Anyhow she just wasn't very attentive. The mixed grill mezze platter was mostly yummy except for the kafta. All of us at the table couldn't have more than a bite of it. The meat was undercooked, and the taste of the lamb was too strong and off. Definitely didn't taste like the kafta we know.
