Chicken rice bowl 8.87/10- this was so delicious, they packed on the amount of fresh chicken they put this bowl on top of rice. We got the donair sauce as well as the tahini sauce (you get to choose 2 out of a few sauces). They had a red pepper sauce that also sounded quite good. They served it with fresh pita bread as well as tabouli salad with olives. The salad was dressed very well I believe in olive oil. The portion size is also huge! Lamb pita wrap 7.32/10- they put a lot of lamb in this gigantic wrap which was nice. The lamb was well seasoned and very fresh. I felt that the wrap was a bit dry even though we added sauces to it and with the ingredients put in it, but it was still good and very filling. They let you choose the toppings for what you want inside the wrap, you can choose from: lettuce, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, cucumbers, pineapples, banana peppers, pickles, pickled turnips, red cabbage, and tabouli. You also have the option of choosing sauce/spread. French fries 8.78/10- these were incredibly seasoned and so crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Incredibly tasty! Donair dude is a great option if you're looking for a healthy and fresh Mediterranean restaurant. They give a lot of protein and their portions are also huge. They're also on DoorDash and Uber eats which is really convenient. We ordered this in during a snowstorm and it came quite fast

Been coming for the lunch special: $12 for donair and a drink. With cheese $2+, tax and tip, it's around $15+. Pros: - super friendly inviting welcome by staff - can ask them to cut it in half and they wrap the halves separately in wax bags - quick and delicious (added three new sauces) Notes: - on the pricier side, competitors in the area is $9-$12 - don't be afraid to ask for extra scoop of an ingredient while they're putting the donair together, they're rlly nice about it - I like to park in the inside streets for 2hr free residential parking behind davie on the east side

It's being quite a while since I've had the pleasure of enjoying this "fast food". I really like all the different options that are included - sauces, vegetables and spreads - it really allows you to truly customize your food. The staff are very sweet and don't make you feel rushed. I don't have a picture of it because after my first bite I didn't stop. Solid sanck, I'll be back!

I was shopping around this area and came upon this little donair place. It's small, but they offer a variety of grilled pita donairs, donair boxes, grilled tortilla donairs, and donair rice plates. It's so mouth watering to see the chicken, beef, and lamb rotate on the rotisserie. The place also carry a few side dishes like hummus, tabouli salad, falafel balls and baklava. The prices are reasonable. If I wanted something quick and I'm craving a donair, this is a nice place to go. I was able to get a beef donair box and customize the topping and sauce on it!

The original location. Still the best of the lot. I've had mixed experiences with donair dude. Its all in the person making it. I think they need higher standards for training. Some people pile on the spreads, vegetables, and sauces liberally, and some are shy with it. Obviously, the spreads and the sauces are critical to its flavour. So, make like Oliver Twist, and ASK FOR MORE! Otherwise, you may get a sub-par donair. I get mine like this: - chicken donair (you can do half/half chicken/lamb, etc) - No cheese - garlic and red pepper paste - All the vegetables except pickles - Extra jalapeños and pineapple - tabouleh - Sweet sauce, and hot sauce - Grilled extra-long Give that a try!

Something ( can't remember name) in a box. A full meal!

We were hungry for a late meal and wandered along Davie. The tantalizing aroma of grilled meat brought us here to Donair Dude. Figured it's worth a try as they were still serving and people still coming and going. I can see they probably mostly do take out. The concept is not unlike a Subway Sandwich shop where you can direct them how to build your pita or whatever by choosing the fillings and sauces to include. The meat is on the rotisserie spit and grilling, but slices are already in bins for building orders. Our food was prepared quickly and we sat at the window so we wouldn't have to wait. It was a lot of food! I managed mine but he couldn't handle it all. The atmosphere is casual and almost divey which is appropriate for the location. Don't trip over the street residents who tend to gather along here. They are generally harmless. For a quick late night bite they were just what we needed.

Halifax donair? With hot sauce, beef, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, feta, and sweet sauce.

This place is not too shabby. The place was clean, and the food tasted good. I just wish they had vegan treats.

My coworker and I came here on a Saturday afternoon, we got a reservation ahead of time and I'm glad we did because this place was pretty busy. We got their aperol spritz for drinks which was very refreshing, would recommend this for the summer. For food, we got their dip platter and chose their hummus, labne, and baba ghannouj. My coworker was gluten-free so they were very nice to give us some gluten free chips instead of the bread with the dips. We also got their halloumi fries which came with a pomegrante dipping sauce - I LOVED IT! The halloumi fries were cooked so well! We also got their prawns which were really fresh and delicious. I would definitely come back! Their hummus was so good, it's for sure a very authentic Lebanese spot.

I ordered a hibiscus tea while I waited for my friend. It was incredibly refreshing and flavorful, the best I have ever had. For food, we shared a bunch of stuff. We got a dip sampler with labneh, hummus, and an eggplant dip. All were fantastic and came out beautifully. They brought gluten free crackers out for me as well. The shrimp was divine. Garlicky, flavorful, so good. Will be thinking about this for a while. Definitely order sides, as the proteins just come with the protein listed unless you do a lunch special. The halloumi fries were incredible and came with an amazing sauce. Fried in a dedicated gluten free frier- amazing. The food was paired with a lovely aperol spritz, a lovely patio, and a kind and attentive server. Would go back every week if I could.

Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. We got the most expensive items and it was less than 50 CAD all-in, but a lot of the items are around the 10 CAD mark.
