Was looking for something fresh, not fried and not a lot of bread. Donair hit the spot. Fresh, filling and full of tasty condiments. I am used to gyros with a pita bread but donair had a lighter thinner wrap.

Well first off...you hungry?!...better be! Seriously delicious and most definitely our most favourite Donair shop in town. Super convenient location and great atmosphere to eat in. If eating Donair or Shawarma daily was a thing...this would by far be my first choice. Ordered the Chicken shawarma today, large serving of meat and veggies wrapped in fresh bread. Will be a regular here now. He has the most reviews. I parked on Granville st. Food made in 5 minutes and wrapped to seal the freshness. Paid $14.xx. Enough for 2 meals if your a regular appetite or one for large appetites

Best felafel on Granville Street, hands-down! The felafel was made freshly for my order. Veggies, pickles, everything is fresh and delicious. Staff are super friendly, too.

Enjoyed the falafel platter here, which included falafel over rice, salad (house or Greek), fried potatoes. hummus and pita chips, and an optional fresh pita which I declined since I felt like I already had enough starch on my plate. Price is okay, $17 for the platter, which was very filling. The falafel tasted homemade, heavily seasoned and filled with big pieces of fresh herbs, and are cooked to order. The tzatziki was applied liberally but the consistency was light so it wasn't overwhelming. Deep-fried potatoes usually do not do anything for me but these were good - they were so soft inside they practically melted in my mouth. The pita chips also were really good, crispy and coated in herbs, but were extremely salty. The Greek salad was fresh. Overall a very solid plate, but the pita chips alone made me very thirsty! The two guys working were really friendly, and when they make your plate, they can accommodate special requests like leaving out certain vegetables or dietary restrictions. They can make the falafel plate vegan on request. They have paper plates for the platters for dining in, which is nice instead of having to eat out of a takeout container.

We are visiting from out of town and there are 3 Donair shops near my hotel, and I tried all of them, Fresh Donair is my favorite. The shop is clean, bright, the staffs are very welcoming and nice. We got the Lamb Donair and Beef Samosa, they are delicious. Everything is freshly made and reasonably priced. Very impressed, if you are in the area, highly recommended this place.

The family that runs this place, all men. Just so friendly and respectable. The food is good but it's the people that makes this place special. The has constant traffic.

Delicious to the very last bite with flavor throughout and spices to chase. Jose was our server this round and was very attentive and friendly. My coworker and I came here on a Saturday afternoon, we got a reservation ahead of time and I'm glad we did because this place was pretty busy. We got their aperol spritz for drinks which was very refreshing, would recommend this for the summer. For food, we got their dip platter and chose their hummus, labne, and baba ghannouj. My coworker was gluten-free so they were very nice to give us some gluten free chips instead of the bread with the dips. We also got their halloumi fries which came with a pomegrante dipping sauce - I LOVED IT! The halloumi fries were cooked so well! We also got their prawns which were really fresh and delicious. I would definitely come back! Their hummus was so good, it's for sure a very authentic Lebanese spot.

Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. We got the most expensive items and it was less than 50 CAD all-in, but a lot of the items are around the 10 CAD mark.

The interior of the restaurant was also very nicely decorated. I do think Saba Foods is fancier than other places I've been to while exploring new cuisines and I personally prefer a more casual dining experience. As for the food, the portion sizes were very generous (though I did see other diners ordering individually). I shared the haneeth and saltah with a friend as well as got the kunafa and bint al sahen for dessert. The lamb was very tender and fell off the bone and the saltah came in a bubbling pot. I think the presentation of each dish was beautiful and was representative of its quality. My favourite dish was definitely the haneeth; it had a good combination of meat, rice, and vegetables. My reason for the missing star would be price point (total came around to $55 per person) as well as flavour as I'm used to having very flavorful dishes from other cuisines. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who hasn't tried Yemeni food before though!
