They do preorder personalized letter donut boxes. I called at 6 am not knowing it was a day before notice but they were gracious enough to have it ready by 10 am. Didn't grow up on Shipley's Donuts, but instead Krispy Kreme, and Dunkin Donuts. But there's not a lot of mom and pops that open 4AM before you start your day in traffic, and that's real worth every dollar. From the boudin rolls, to kolaches, to the Croissant sandwiches, and my favorite All-time blueberry donuts. Sad to say there glaze isn't ready before 5AM. But you'll be like Charlie and the chocolate factory after eating a blueberry donut, minus the Ompalompa purple man, lol. By far the best mom and pops donuts for your morning before work commute, and there mother and daughter combo everyday is like no other with service, hands down. Just went in for a sausage kolache and a apple fritter it was DELICIOUS! This was by far the BEST apple fritter I've had EVER! The kolache was goo! With real cheese! Not that liquid shipleys cheese! I was in Houston sometime last year and happened to stop by Donald's. First thought as I walked in was, "this place is very clean and well organized!" All of their donuts were freshly baked and wasn't sitting there all night like most donut shops I've been to. Their kolache and boudin were my favorite! So good! Nothing else like it. Great customer service and very friendly. That's a plus in my opinion because most places want you in and out. They made me feel comfortable and most definetly will be stopping by here again when I'm in Houston. Keep up the good work! read more

Nice and clean place. Lots of varieties to choose from. I tried the cinnamon rolls and it was OK. It just tasted like a donut in the shape of a pin-wheel. It didn't have that glaze and cinnamon flavor like a normal cinnamon roll would be. Also the dough was still a little raw in the middle. We also got a kolache which was OK too. I would most likely go back but only for the regular donuts. read more
