I would advise not to purchase on ebay or over the phone without seeing the car. while I accept blame for not requesting more close up photos these guys definitely know how to avoid certain flaws in their online presence. numerous spots of black touch up over spray paint, scratches and and obvious body paint overspray that was not disclosed or shown in photos. Most dealers would show them w a close up ruler measurement etc...was told the tires were new and they appear to be in the pics but only the front tires were; rear tires were last gen bf's. that are clearly different when seen close up and less tread. Loose dash and console components. Numerous spray paint on undercarriage to hide major rust spots. again, I'd advise to inspect the car in person, these guys know what they're doing when it comes to putting lipstick on a pig. lesson learned read more

If I could give them a negative rating I would. We selected a used car, wanted to have our mechanic to inspect it prior to purchasing. Asked if we could put a deposit on the car, demonstrating our intention to purchase the vehicle. "Finance Guy" gets all hot and bothered, adds a $1,000 to the price. They had agreed to the inspection during our first test drive of the car. Would not take deposit, did not want an inspection, rude. The explained that a 120 point inspection was done on the car. When asked to see what that list included they produced a blank form from another car. Test drove a Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive. They showed me a clean CarFax and I was ready to buy until I checked the AutoCheck report. Turns out that at the auction where they bought it, it was sold as being frame damaged. I purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler in September 2022 and it has not been reliable at all. I paid over 18k and to date had to put an additional 10k+ into it and still does not start at times and smells of gas if filled over 1/2 a tank along with 2 or 3 other miles minor issues. My bad because I was offered $3300 towards the repairs after months and months by DONE Deal and I accepted it, since this was the Jeep I had been looking for and also had new tires and rims put on. It took over 4 months to pass inspection. They had to replace catalytic converter along with done deal sending the shop a wiring harness (which was used and not in great shape). The Underneath was completely sprayed with some type of oily black "paint" to cover the rusted undercarriage. It's nice the end of April 2023 and I can no longer own this Jeep since it has broken down on me 3 times and I no longer can be so frustrated about its unreliability. I also do not have the heart to sell it to someone since it's a lemon and in good conscious I could never do to someone what was don't to me by the dealer. I had the Opportunity to sue and did not do it at the time but now that window has closed and I really thought it would be ok:( But as you can read it's been nothing but a nightmare. So please learn from my mistakes, have the vehicle looked at IF your thinking of purchasing from them. Pay an independent mechanic before purchasing ANY vehicles from this "dealer"! First, isn't it strange how yelp ratings for ALL car dealerships are abysmal? As if the only people who bother to write reviews are the people who decided they were treated unfairly? My girlfriend and I ultimately didn't get a car from Done Deal since we were very price-sensitive and couldn't find exactly what we wanted at the right price, but we both thought highly of everyone we met, she really liked her salesman (Adam, who I didn't meet), and I thought highly of the finance manager (Eddie) and everyone else I worked with. These guys really do seem to hand-select everything they offer, and re-auction anything that isn't up to snuff, because all of the cars are in absolutely impeccable condition. We got far enough along in looking at one that we took it to a factory dealership for a pre-purchase inspection, and they gave us a multipage document indicating they couldn't find a single thing wrong with the car--an occurrence I've never seen before in my life! I had an average car buying experience at Done Deal. The salesman I worked with was a nice guy and was helpful, but I felt at times that he was more worried about his next customer or his next sale than in making sure I was taken care of (i.e. after I had agreed to buy a car I was shuffled off to sit in a waiting room for 30 minutes while he moved on to sell another car). As others have mentioned, DDM has a great inventory of quality cars that are very clean. But the dealership definitely has that familiar aura of a sleazy used car dealership that is more focused on squeezing as much cash out of the customer and churning out sales than on making people happy (e.g., it's a bit off-putting when the salesman and the manager are discussing the terms/pricing of your vehicle in a foreign language a few feet from where you are sitting). Dimitri, the owner, made a point of shaking my hand and thanking me for my business, which was a very nice gesture, but it also would have been a nice gesture to give me some free floor mats or find a replacement user manual for the vehicle, both of which were missing. When you spend thousands of dollars on a car, you'd think the dealership might be able to drop $50 on a pair of floor mats, OR A TANK OF GAS. I drove away in my new car with an EMPTY TANK. You guys really couldn't spare $40 to fill my tank? These are the details that separate a three star, "A-OK" dealership review, from a four or five star review, and its what makes your customers truly satisfied with the buying experience. My time at Done Deal Motors was by far the worst experience I have ever had in buying a car. I arrived to check out a car I found online, and I walked in to find a salesmen sitting at his desk. I told him about my situation, and that I would not buy the car before I had my mechanic check it out, which he seemed initially fine with, but that changed fast. He brought me to the car, and I checked out the engine. To be fair to Done Deal, their product was incredible. The car was ridiculously clean and ran beautifully. That's why I'm rating my overall experience as 2 stars rather than 1. However, when I said I'd like to test drive it, the salesman said "I don't see why I should let you." I think that it was some poorly thought out attempt to make me buy the car that day. His logic was that if I wasn't going to buy it today, I probably wasn't going to buy it, and I had to prove that I was going to buy it by telling him I would buy it today. It's pretty obvious where the flaw is. Even after I told him that today was the first step of buying their car, and that if I did not test drive it, Done Deal would lose my business, he persisted. **BUYER BEWARE** Took the 2008 Audi A3 to my mechanic (same one mentioned in review below) for a pre purchase inspection. My mechanic said there was an oil leak in/behind the turbo. $$$$ Also, there was undercarriage rust that had obviously been attempted to be covered up with some type of coating. I informed Done Deal about this and was later called and told "We're sending it back to the auction. There are too many problems with it." Translation - we're not going to fix the problem and will pawn it off on some other unsuspecting customer. Two people I know called much later and were told it is in fact for sale. Hmmmm....coincidence? I think not. Additionally there's a driver's side airbag recall that no dealer has the parts for and doesn't know when they will get. I haven't purchased a car here however, I did drive there after months of back and forth contact with Vic. Over email he was nice and not pushy at all and we agreed on a deal, although I did still have to bring my vehicle there for "in person appraisal", which I did. Dmitry low-balled me to the point that I was completely offended and he was RUDE while doing so. I put them in their place and drove away from the dealership just as easily as I drove there. I received 4 missed calls and a text while driving home, stating that they would increase the amount they would give me for my vehicle, I then asked for them to do the credit check to see what they had to offer me as far as payments, percentage, etc. To no avail. They never contacted me back after that, not by email or phone, although I had given them all of my information. P.S. I purchased a 2005 S type Jaguar after I was told car was in perfect condition. Description of car they put on car guru stated that car was fully serviced we guarantee it. All lies. Car was purchased by Oceanside Auto at Adessa Auction. Vehicles go to auction for repairs issues, age and high mileage. There are complaints at AG's office, better business, Yelp, etc. The vehicle they sold me on 9/21/16 had at the time of the sale numerous and expensive repair issues, Total repairs needed per Jaguar $14,530.71. Oil leak due to failure to replace crankshaft seal, leaking transmission lines, Brakes front and rear need replacing, struts need replacing, suspension is shot. Battery needs replacing, tires have inside wear, car needs alignment. Bushings have torn control arms. Done Deal Dopes knew all of this and still had the audacity to sell this junk box to me. Do not buy any vehicle from them and do not use their service department. I have been advised to file a complaint with the Mass Registry of Vehicles. I will do so. I don't want anyone to get scamned. NEGLIGENT SERVICE ON A BASIC OIL CHANGE! Completely failed 2 opportunities to change my oil. First time, they forgot the brake fluid cap and they cross threaded the drain plug. I went back for them to fix the problem they created. Big mistake, I should have ran the other way. Second time, they failed to insert drain plug correctly and all the oil leaked out of the car causing metal fragments to get into the engine and car now requires a new engine. Absolutely ridiculous that a trained mechanic messed up a basic oil change twice! Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere for your service needs. Horrible service and customer service! read more

I told him what I was looking for and immediately suggested 3 very good options in inventory that met my criteria. Bait and Switch. Found a 2002 S Class listed online for 10,800. When I went to check out its condition it was decent albeit dirty, but the price listed was 14,000. I have not done business with this company, but many of the cars were overpriced from what I saw and I'm sure this was not the only one which is falsely advertised on their online site. I'd like to preface this by saying that the sales woman that helped me during this ordeal was fantastic and not at fault by any stretch of the word. I called about a vehicle that was for sale, Shawnee (my apologies if I misspelled your name) answered the call with "of course, when would you like to see it?". Great! I think to myself. This is 4:15pm Thursday. I said I would like to come Friday between 2-3 "of course hunny, I'll have it cleaned and pulled up front for you", I'm now ecstatic. 2:20pm I pull into the lot..... THERE SHE IS!!! Shiny, aggressively parked, playing right into what I was looking for.... I proceed to enter the showroom... crickets. I see 5 people walking around, no one asks why I'm there. Weird. I walk outside to start walking around the "perfect" vehicle, and there is overspray on all the trim.... it's been painted. I only mention this because I specifically asked Shawnee on the phone if there had been paint work had been done one the vehicle, even explained that I'm an appraiser in a body shop, to which I was told "no, it's perfect". Well, Shawnee, maybe try a different profession, you'd make a great politician, since you're awful at your job. This vehicle had the entire nose painted, a quarter panel recently put on.... yes carfax came back clear and it only goes off of public record.... but you either lied about the vehicle being painted, or you are so awful at your job that you never saw it. Either way you are awful at your job. I walked in at 2:20pm and they had just taken a deposit over the phone on the vehicle that I told them I was coming to see between 2-3. I was then allowed to take the vehicle for a test drive, to which I was offered the chance to lose 3 thousand dollars on my trade, for a vehicle that was listed $3k over NADA and KBB. Needless to say, I turned down their offer to go upside down on my loan.... for a car that I was lied to about.... that was over priced... I went with significant interest in their 1985 Toyota Celica GT base automatic with over 50,000 miles. They asked if I was going to pay cash and assumed I would buy that day. They offered for me to test drive the car for a mile and I was interested. The car ran well and everyone was friendly. They were selling the car for $10,000, which I, and multiple car enthusiast friends, felt was a bit hefty. My close friend who regularly attends car shows and auctions told me to offer only $5000. I offered $8000 and when the salesperson wouldn't budge I said I could potentially do the $10,000 in a month or so as I am a recent college grad just starting to work full time. The salesperson was argumentative but it was understandable and I hold nothing against them. They were kind and I was still interested in buying the car after I had left. I, and my car enthusiast friends, felt that $10,000 was a lot for this car because it is a base model and has an automatic transmission. If this was a manual transmission I would have made arrangements as quickly as possible, as this would have been ideal. It was also sitting on their lot for a year. Their argument was that this car is a collector's car. This could be true, but if a collector is looking for a 1985 Toyota Celica, it is most likely they would want to purchase a GTS or Supra, or at least a manual transmission. Additionally the car did have a few minor aesthetic problems such as dents and some engine rust. My experience turned truly sour when the manager called me on my 30 minute drive home to insult me in a five minute long call that I ended up hanging up on him over, it could have potentially been a longer phone call if I let him continue to insult me. I had left the dealership in hopes that I could arrange my financials to accommodate the price, but instead I was berated with insults and told that this car is a collectible and "not for a student." I had just graduated and the salesperson asked me the difference between $8000 and $10,000. I said it was a lot to a recent college grad, a lot more to a recent college grad than a business selling cars for $40,000. During the call the manager insulted me for taking the car for a test drive. Saying that it significantly hurt the value for me to drive the car for one mile. Even if this is true, wouldn't it be reasonable for anyone to want to drive a car before they buy it? He said I could have test drove their new cars, but he also argued "what if you got into an accident?" I think that a business with over 200 cars would be more impacted by a $40,000 car getting into an accident on a test drive than a $10,000 car on a 1 mile test drive. He continued to say that I was a phony customer because I chose not to buy the car. He also said that now the mileage on the car is different than the mileage on the website and if they had to ship the car this would be a huge issue. It is pretty easy to edit a website. He also made the assumption that I knew the price was $10,000 before I had arrived and said I was a liar for saying I was a potentially legitimate buyer. Nobody told me the price in person. I did know the price, but what if a friend had told me about the car and I didn't see it online? This is a very legitimate possibility and he felt that I was arguing semantics with him, when he argued that someone might ship the car out in a pod and notice the one mile differential on the odometer vs the website. This is the argument of a four year old. After insulting me for multiple minutes, he somehow he had the gall to say to me that if it's still available in a month then I can come back. There is absolutely no way I would ever support a business where the manager acts like a petty child who calls me to tell me I'm a bad customer when all I wanted to do was test drive a car and tell them that I needed time to pay the additional $2000 in price. Edit: The manager who treated me so poorly's name is Matt. I have no problem with anyone else who works here, especially the salesperson who was very kind, Matt was the one who made my experience here a nightmare. read more

STAY AWAY! TYPICAL USED CAR SALES TECHNIQUES! Stopped in this weekend to look at a Jeep. The car needed a lot of mechanical work (serpentine belt was cracked, idler pulley rusted, exhaust was full of rust) as well as having the interior blower controls being non-functional, a dash panel missing, etc. I told them I'd take it at a lower price, but they had to fix everything and I wanted to finance part of it. They played the whole "I need to talk to the manager" game. The salesperson did that twice.. until (of course) the manager came out to deal. They told me they wouldn't discuss price until the financing was approved (!) and that it's a used car, and I shouldn't expect there won't be problems.
