I had absolutely no pain afterward--I didn't even need a Tylenol--and it never affected my sleep. Dr. Jayaram was wonderful from the very beginning. She was caring, professional, and always available to answer any questions I had during the healing process. My recovery was incredibly easy, and I am absolutely in love with my results. My eyes look so much brighter, refreshed, and more youthful. I would do it again without hesitation and highly recommend Dr. Jayaram to anyone considering eyelid surgery!

Dr. Jayaram is an expert! At just over 50, gravity was winning the race against my eyelids. Being…read moresomeone who avoids surgery unless absolutely necessary, Dr Jayaram answered all of my many questions and addressed my concerns. The surgery took only 30 minutes, I was able to drive myself home, and after just one week of "social downtime," I was back to my normal routine. I didn't need to use Tylenol after the procedure, although did need to maintain diligence around icing. When I had a question around the healing process post procedure, Dr Jarayam responded within minutes (after hours) via cell. The results are incredible: it has taken years off my face, and my forehead muscles no longer have to work overtime just to keep my eyelids out of my field of vision. 10/10 experience and results. I couldn't be happier!

He determined I need cataract surgery (which he no longer does), and he has been with me every step of the way to make sure he approves of the surgeon. (The first one he recommended has a very full schedule) One warning: he doesn't accept insurance. I knew that when I made another appointment with him, but I was willing to pay more, knowing how great he is. I was actually surprised that I wasn't charged more, because he spent around 2 1/2 hours with me.

As the day went on, the pain got worse and worse till I was basically holding my eye shut and hiding from any bright lights. My boyfriend called Dr. Fishman and saw me that day. He found that I must have scratched my sclera (white part of my eye) while I was sleeping. He gave me a prescription to protect my eye from bacteria as it healed, wrapped my eye to protect it and reassured me that my eye was going to be ok. Dr. Fishman is very friendly, loves what he does, enjoys sharing his knowledge about eyes and takes time with his clients. I appreciate his professionalism and help.

When I returned for a follow-up because I still haven't got used to the glasses, I was treated with utter disrespect. The individual who performed my exam took me into the room and began shouting at me, insisting the glasses were fine before I could even explain the issues I was having. I have never experienced such unprofessional or aggressive behavior in a medical setting. Do yourself a favor and find another ophthalmologist who actually listens to their patients. I had got my glasses from the menlo park office and they told me to go to their mountain view office this time.

It should be obvious that I trust her with my eye health. Dr. Wang is skilled, knowledgeable, and efficient. In addition to fully answering my questions (which are often very technical since we're both in the healthcare profession), she takes time to chat about different subjects such as work and family, and she remembers details about these conversations when I see her in followup. Joel, the optician, has also been there for a long time. He is helpful and gives honest opinions about the frames that I choose. Dr. Wang, if she has time, sometimes weighs in as well. My glasses usually arrive in the office much sooner than originally promised. Only once did my lenses have to be remade, when the progressive part of the lens (yes, I'm that old) was a little too high and there was a slight visual distortion as I looked through them. If I had one minor complaint, it's that there is a comparatively smaller selection of frames in the Menlo Park office (admittedly, I've never been to her Mountain View location). However, I'm always able to find something that I like and looks pretty good on my face.
