Wow wow wow! My good friend had cupcakes from here at her wedding and they were phenomenal! I couldn't believe they were gluten free. My husband almost never enjoys GF deserts and he said, "these GF cupcakes taste better than most normal cupcakes." They were perfectly moist and the frosting was so sweet. I only tried the jam-filled kinds, one with a vanilla frosting and one with orange (yum!) but my husband loved the coffee one and I heard raving reviews about the carrot cake. Excellent gluten free bakery with friendly staff. Many options, including frozen selections. My personal favorites are the oatmeal raisin cookies and chocolate raspberry cupcakes (5 stars); both excellent! Snickerdoodle cookies were pretty good (4 stars). Carrot cake cupcakes were a little plain for my preference. Same with the chocolate chip cookies were good, but not great. Prices are very reasonable for a gluten-free bakery. A colleague of mine (who has celiac disease) recently attended a wedding, and there were cupcakes from Donna Marie's Gluten Free Bakery available at the event. She raved about them when she was back in the office. I mentioned recently that I would be in the area where this store is located, and also just casually offered to stop by the bakery if she wanted anything. She was GIDDY. Not only that, but she quickly logged onto their website to check their menu so that she could send me with a list of a couple cupcake flavors she was craving (as well as cookie types). Hahaha. The bakery itself is fairly easy to find - and the inside is charming, while also easily displaying cookies, cupcakes, cake-types, and a variety of bread-related options. I stocked up on the 4 cupcake flavors (vanilla, chocolate, lemon, and marble), as well as 6 of the cutout cookies, for my colleague (big 'ol check next to everything on her list), and then picked out a couple of cookie flavors for myself (chocolate crinkle, snickerdoodle, and butter cookie), as well as an almond cupcake and banana nut mini loaf. The total cost was perfectly reasonable (especially for these being gluten free). I was able to enjoy my almond cupcake a short time later and OOOOOOOHHHH my goodness. Sometimes you can tell that items are gluten free... they're crumbly, or sometimes just dry and lacking in flavor... but this cupcake was NONE of those things. Had I not purchased it from the bakery myself, I never would have known or suspected that it was gluten free. The cupcake was the perfect texture, and the frosting was just the right amount of sweetness. TL;DR Delightful selection of baked goods. I don't need to eat gluten free for any reason, but I would absolutely stop here again any time - and stock up again, for sure! read more

Finally got to check out this new location. Picked out a dozen gluten free cupcakes for family dinner. They generally have many flavors to choose from, standard ones to more interesting ones like chocolate covered cherry, chocolate raspberry, cannoli, lemon, orange, banana split. The cake is moist, frosting is a sugary delight, and flavorful overall. I personally love the almond one and the chocolate with fruit...cherries or raspberry. Staff is friendly and helpful. They also have an assortment of cookies and brownies. Sometimes fresh cinnamon rolls and bread. The have a refrigerator/freezer case of bread items. Pizza crusts, rolls, loafs. Went with my dad, who has celiac and a sweet tooth. He was thrilled to see cinnamon rolls and also cinnamon raisin bread. The cupcakes looked amazing. We bought an assortment of cookies, pastries and breads. The report back from dad was the cinnamon roll was the best he has had. The cupcakes were great and the chocolate cookies are soft and chewy as he likes them. I'm going to buy some of the pasta shells and stuff them. We had a graduation party and invited some friends who have celiac. Purchased a variety of goodies from Donna Marie's and they received rave reviews. I tried the blueberry muffin and it was delicious. Couldn't tell the difference between that and the regular blueberry muffins we served. Will definitely be coming back! read more

I had a gluten free cupcakes from here today and they were delicious! Gluten free desserts can be very hit or miss but these ones were a all the way hit! It was for a party and there were a variety of cupcakes, everyone raved. I specifically ate the red velvet and honestly I could've eaten so many more. They were delicious! What these cupcakes lack in gluten they make up in flavor! Don't walk run! Discovered them recently, really great baked goods. Would never know they're not gluten free, they taste like regular baked goods. Even have some dairy free and vegan options. I've tried about a quarter of their options, they have many, none have disappointed me. The cookie options are just great. Also their English style muffins and challah (sp) bread. I am SO glad I found this place. I live in California, but my sister lives in Rochester, NY. As I write this, we are all at home for shelter-in-place and obviously bummed that I couldn't be with my sister. I wanted to send her some cupcakes, but she is lactose intolerant, so I had to do a google search and found Donna Marie's. I spoke to Mark and he was SUPER helpful in getting my order and although I had to pay a delivery fee- I totally didn't mind. The day of, the cupcakes hadn't been delivered, so I called the bakery. Spoke to Donna, & they accidentally had the wrong day. They realized the mistake and totally went above and beyond and delivered them super quick to my sister! Like honestly, within 20 minutes after I called- she had them. YAY! They look so good and they added a little "Happy Birthday" sign- although I can't be in Rochester, so glad she was able to celebrate it with a little bit of delicious goods.
