Went to Donna to get my eyebrows redone since it was done long ago. She reshaped my eyebrows without me even seeing it and used the old technique of etching the tattoo instead of using a machine. Went multiple times as required and not even 1 year passed and my eyebrows are faded. Now having someone else correcting my eyebrows. Donna Reed did my eye liner about 35 years ago and I get compliments on it to this day!!! As aside from the normal follow up check after the initial tattooing was done I have NEVER had to go back. I hear people say they got permanent eye liner but they seem to go back twice a year for "touch ups".....that definitely is NOT permanent make up. I can and have identified her work several times with random people.....she Is that good. I went to Donna to have my eyebrows tattooed as well as my upper eyelid and lower eyelid. I must say that till today I have never regretted it. I had no eyebrows; had to draw my own. Some days was skinny some days look like Groucho Marx. At one time my brows were good,but this last month becuz I only had a little hair toward the center of each brow I plucked them all out so I could draw better to no avail. I've used almost the whole box of q-tips in the last 3 months trying to shape the drawing which would diappear with one swipe of a cloth on hot day of sweat. I absolutely love my new eyebrows and highly recommend Donna. Several years ago, I had melanoma removed from my eyebrow area and have scar tissue instead of about a third of my brow. Frustrated with my penciled in brow getting washed away while working out or swimming, I finally decided to get my eyebrows tattooed. I had checked out several shops and reviews on Yelp. While Donna didn't have the highest rating, I like the endorsement of plastic surgeons. If medical professionals refer people to her, I think that is a good sign. I also like that she has been in business for 35 years. When I visited her shop, it was not as fancy as some of the "spas" that do eyebrows, but I am guessing that is one reason her prices are more reasonable than most shops (lower overhead). As a bonus, I thought Donna was the sweetest, most down to earth lady! I felt an instant connection with her. Also, bonus of all bonuses, Donna told me she comes in early each day and prays that she will do a great job for her clients. As a Christian, I thought that was pretty cool. I wouldn't usually write a review about having something physically done to any part of my body. But, here goes! I first went to Donna about 36 years ago. She did a marvelous job on my eyebrows. So a little later I went to have my eyeliner done. The hair on my eyebrows fell out so my tattoo faded. But having done it with other artists, not from Oahu. It didn't last as long as hers did. To this day my eyeliner is as perfect as it was when she did it. I moved back here and was so excited that I found her. She is so compassionate about her work and a perfectionist. Donna, I am upgrading my score after a long time to consider your business. Look, you and I may have our differences but for 30 plus years, your eye tattoos are remarkably clean and beautiful. So I am giving you another star because the results speak for themselves It could be that you and I just have a real difference in personalities and rather than hurt your business I want to stress that your artistry is remarkable. Would I go to you again? No, because the pain was really bad. But maybe all eye tattoos are painful to get, I have nothing to compare it with. I simply can't imagine it gets any better than Donna's work. She is a true artist, and one of the sweetest, most likable people I have ever met. She was very careful to explain the process, show me the equipment and work with me to get the look I wanted. Today Donna did my eyebrows. Donna is the best! The first time i went to her was over 10 years ago for my eyebrows. They never faded or changed in 10 years but i wanted them thicker since back then i wore them thin. So i went back to her and she did an amazing job once again. The shape is perfect exactly what i want...and the color is natural looking. I always get compliments on them. Went to Donna's 3 years ago to have eyebrows, upper and lower eyeliner done. Eyebrows came out okay but had to go back to retouch, which I found out that this is normal. My upper and lower eyeliner is another story. My upper eyeliner "bled" into the inner corner of my eyes and my top eyelid looks like I have dark blue eye shadow. I went back to Donna and she told me that lots of people like the "eye shadow look". Cannot do anything about it, so this day, I have to use choke concealer! read more

Donna did my eyeliner 19 Years ago and I have never been touched up. I am so afraid of needles but, Donna was able to make my eyes look fabulous. She gave me great advice of post tattoo care after she was done I never needed and ice since I had no swelling. I don't ever write reviews on Yelp. In fact, this is my first review ever because I really like Donna's work and had to make sure I put it out there. I initially had my brows tattooed 11 years ago by Donna. My tattoo was so perfect and lasted 8 years. I had Face It retouch my brows last year and I was very unhappy with the retouch. I had to go back to have the artist redo it but it got worse. I decided to wait a while before I go back to Donna. Well, I had Donna retouch my brows this past weekend and she did an incredible job on retouching and correcting the work done by Face It! Definitely an expert in cosmetic tattooing. I saw Donna 30 years ago for eyebrows and eyelids (top and bottom) tattoos. Never went back for a touch up until last Thursday. 30 years later ink has finally faded. Called Donna and she re-did my eyebrows and noticed that my top eyelid ink was still visible and only faded towards the end of the eyelid. Since she had the time, she accommodated me by re-doing my top eyelids as well. Donna is terrific and I highly recommend her services! I went to Donna 5 years ago. I agree with the other girls who said their eyeliner tattoo being thick and ends are uneven. I have the same issue, so I would have to cover up my tattoo with eyeliner to hide the mistake. So sad that I have to deal with looking at it everyday. It bothers me. I've had my eyebrows, eyeliners, and lip liners done by Donna for over ten years and I still love them. Before going to see her, I did a lot of research because this was serious stuff to me. It's "permanent" makeup that you wouldn't want to change your mind once it's done!!! Almost everyone I talked to said they had their eyebrows or eyeliners done by Donna. She was one of a very few cosmetic tattoo artists in town 20 years ago or even longer when I was still in grade school. She's very skilled and knew what she's doing. She recommended a shape that would look good on my face and drew it with pencil for me to see whether I'd like it or not. Then, she proceeded. Because she's done it by hand using an aluminum handle, not bamboo stick though, her art works last a lot longer. My eyebrows required one time touch up while eyeliners were good to stay on for a lifetime because they still look very good and natural after 10+ years!!! I'm glad that my eyebrows don't turn to bluish/greenish or worse yet...pinkish. Based on my experience, I've recommended many of my friends and family members to Donna for quality works. My eyeliner is too thick and my eyebrows were too thin. Thank god Kathy fixed my eyebrows. My eyeliner covers my entire eye and because I have small Asian eyelids it looks ugly. In having a conversation with a friend about cosmetic tattoos, I told her I had mine done by Donna Reed many years ago. She was so surprised because she never realized that my eyebrows were tattooed. She said mine looks so natural, the best of any she's ever seen. This was not the first time that someone told me this, that they didn't realize my brows were tattooed. Donna did an excellent job on my top and bottom eyeliner. The first time I had it done was in California and the lady that did it charged me alot and did a terrible job. I came to Donna and she was so understanding and patient, and she corrected the job perfectly. She drew the eyeliner on first to make sure it was what I wanted, and then she numbed the area so it wasn't painful. She was gentle and professional...and made me feel like family. Weeks later she followed up with me to see how everything turned out. And i must say, her work was amazing. If there was a Lower rating than 1 star, I would give her minus stars. Donna Reed is an Asian woman who tattooed my eyes and did a horrible job. Both my upper and lower eyeliners are so thick and black. As it ages it bleeds dark blue like a bruised color. While she tattooed my eyes she was constantly on her cell phone talking and just tapping away with an old fashioned method of some kind of stick with needle at the end. My eyes were so swollen, almost completely shut. She never showed me how I looked with a mirror and I could see why. My husband was so shocked when he picked me up. After a year another tattoo makeup specialist tried to add a lighter flesh color to reduce the effect but that did not work. Two years ago a professional make up artist taught me how to camouflage the dark black blue tattoo with colored pencil eyeliner. My effort to have a permanent eyeliner to reduce time spent applying eye makeup has turned into more time and more makeup than I originally used on my eyes before this horrible eye tattoo! read more

Donna took a phone call while tattooing my eyes using an earpiece. I think this is why one side's eyeliner is thicker and a little crooked. I felt the poke lower than I thought it should be but I couldn't tell at the time since my eye lids where really swollen after. She also decided to make wings on my upper eye liner, which I did not ask for. Donna also tattooed too far in to the corner of my eyes and partly on the waterline. Now I have blobs in the corner of both eyes and since it's partly on the waterline, it is shinier than the rest of the black liner. And I agree with another reviewer, Donna is not very nice if you call back with a problem regarding the tattoos. She is very rude and told me that it was fine when you left her place. It's hard to see the final results when your eyelids are swollen. I would not recommend this place. Because the blobs in the corner of my eyes are noticeable, I'm really thinking of seeing if I can get it removed. read more
