He had already been treated in the hospital and was specifically instructed to follow up with his PCP, and he was also due for his annual visit. Unfortunately, we were met with extremely poor customer service at the front desk. The receptionist repeatedly stated that the clinic 'doesn't treat accidents,' despite us clearly explaining multiple times that he was not seeking accident treatment, but rather a hospital discharge follow-up and routine care. We even provided hospital documentation showing he had already been treated, yet there was little effort or willingness to review or upload the paperwork into his chart. The lack of listening, understanding, and basic professionalism was very concerning. As a nurse, I found this experience especially frustrating and disappointing. Access to primary care--especially for appropriate follow-up--should not be this difficult. After reading similar experiences from other patients, I feel confident that changing providers is the safest and most appropriate decision for us. Due to the nature of this encounter, I also intend to report this experience and provide appropriate documentation to outside agencies to ensure this issue is addressed and does not continue to affect other patients. You never know the circumstances or backgrounds of the patients and families you are interacting with--compassion, professionalism, and proper communication are essential in healthcare.

Post exertional mailaise is one of the significant aspects of it. This is very common currently with Long Covid vistims. What Dr Finnie encountered was post exertinal malaise. A deep sleepiness. I did. And I miss him as I now live in Northern California all due to the necessity of requiring a microdisectmy of C3 performed by Grant Shifflett MD Newport Beack neurosurgeon. Subsequently all of my symtoms have worsened. No i say something about his practice. A finer staff cannot be found, maybe equal but among the best of the best. Dr. Finnie is the most profoundly brilliant Primary Physicians i have ever had the priveledge of having him as my PC. He knew all the limits of PC and he most importantly knows the best qualified Specialists available. And most important he actually cares about his patients and their well being. That's rare these days. Also candor is rare and that's extremely important. Patients need truth and communicated in a very apporiate manner and timing. Not all patients are the same. I could say more, however, I can be long winded and have learned to try to be less so. If you are seeking what i have spoked about. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the monthly charge for their practice was comparable to one massage! I was a bit skeptical of this model of medicine but went for my initial visit, which is an intro visit, at no charge, and wow I was INCREDIBLY impressed by Dr Karos Muñoz!! She gave me her full attention, and was not rushed in any way. She said that her number is provided and should I get sick on a weekend or evening all I had to do was call her. I signed up and went back for my physical the following week. They draw your labs, in-office, and have contracted rates on many services such as radiology and labs. I recently had a situation where I was sick, after-hours, and required an ED visit. Dr Muñoz was available to answer my questions and guide my care which was so very comforting to me. While I do have insurance, and an in-network primary care MD, I will absolutely keep seeing Dr Muñoz, as I trust her, I love the individualized care she provides, and the ability to reach out after-hours or on weekend if there is an emergency is priceless to me. The office is clean and the ancillary staff is very professional and responsive. Once I accidentally called the office and hung up, but office staff called back saying they had a missed call from me and wanted to ensure I was OK! I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes in their waiting room. As a matter of fact, I do not even bother sitting down now because I Know they will call me right away. They have everything in office you can possibly need. Dr Garza is able to see me for my weight loss needs, he has removed skin tags, and most importantly he has administered steroid shots in my knees and shoulders for me. And I have even been able to get a facial by an AMAZING AND EXPERIENCED onsite aesthetician! What more could anyone want! This place is truly a one stop shop! The front desk staff and echo technician were all very polite and helpful. They have handicap parking right up front and had automatic opening doors which is very helpful with my mom being in a wheelchair. They have health classes here sometimes, and had a dedicated room for them. The space has an assisted living facility feel, especially in the nice waiting area. The clinic was nicely decorated for Christmas. While I still have my issues with the general Health Texas call system, this clinic offered a pleasant in-person experience.
