THIS COMPANY VIOLATES THE LAW…read more I purchased gas and pulled around to the air station to add air to my tires. I went back into to ask the cashier (Catalina) to please turn the air on. She asked me if I bought gas to which is replied "yes" and again asked her to turn on the air. She said she would need to look at the cameras and asked me which pump I used. I shared which pump I had bought gas from and again asked her to turn on the air. I then went out to use the air but it did not come on. I went back to the cashier and asked her to please turn on the air again. Catalina then informed me that she needed to see my receipt. I pulled it from my pocket and asked her again to please turn on the air. She then stated she needed me to hand the receipt to her. I explained that this is not what the law requires and asked again for her to turn on the air. She continued to refuse until I personally gave her my receipt. I explained that providing a receipt is not a requirement or condiction to receiving free air under California law. I met all requirements when I purchased gas. Catalina continued to refuse to turn in the air. I ended up paying for the air and will seek reimbursement from Shell. If they refuse to reimburse me and change their illegal practice I will be filing a complaint with the state and filing a class action. SHAME ON YOU FOR VIOLATING THE LAW!!!!!

I'm traveling in my own personal vehicle leading the rest of my crew in the big rental Suburban carrying all our equipment. I know there's a Chevron right at the first exit at the bottom of Donner pass hill dropping into Truckee. Better watch you speed coming down that hill, its easy to get going way too fast! I call my guys to tell them I gotta stop, so we take the first exit and go through the round abouty thingy and the station is right there. All the chevron stations seem like they renamed the convivence stores to Power Markets. Whatever, it's still carries all the road food you need and restrooms as well. What I like about this location is it's super fast on and off the 80, easy to get back on the freeway! Service was fine, just don't get gas here unless you really have to, prices are off the charts high, like holy shit high! Restrooms were clean this time and the crew all used them as well as got some more road food. I think I can make it to the hotel now!

I brought my vehicle to Auto & Tire Doctor in Truckee for an oil change and tire rotation…read more After the service was completed, I spoke with Daniel at the front desk and mentioned a concern about making sure the under-body panel used during the oil service had been properly secured. During that conversation, I happened to notice that my tires did not appear to have been rotated correctly. I had requested a tire rotation, and Daniel confirmed that it had been performed. However, upon inspecting the vehicle, I could see that the passenger-side tires had been swapped front-to-back while the driver-side tires had not. I was able to identify this because the tires on my vehicle have different tread patterns, making it easy to determine whether they had been moved. When I pointed this out, Daniel initially maintained that the tire rotation had been completed. After I showed him the difference between the passenger and driver sides, I was given several explanations regarding tire placement, vehicle handling, and concerns about the condition of my tires. None of those explanations addressed the fact that one side of the vehicle had clearly not been rotated. Eventually, another employee stepped in, acknowledged that the driver-side tires may have been missed, and immediately offered to bring the vehicle back into the shop to correct the issue. I appreciated that he took responsibility and worked to resolve the situation. My concern was not the mistake itself. Mistakes happen. What I found disappointing was the response when the issue was brought to Daniel's attention. Rather than simply acknowledging the possibility of an oversight and correcting it, I felt my concerns were dismissed and met with repeated explanations that did not address the actual problem. During the interaction, Daniel also made comments about wanting to "get this lady out of here" and referred to it being "Tuesday" while discussing the situation with staff. Whether intended that way or not, the comments came across as dismissive and unprofessional, particularly while I was trying to resolve a legitimate concern regarding work that had not been completed. The tire rotation charge was removed from my bill, and the work was ultimately completed correctly. I appreciate the employee who stepped in, acknowledged the issue, and resolved it. Based on this experience, I would encourage customers to verify that all requested services have been completed before leaving and to carefully review any work performed on their vehicle. To the shop's credit, the tire rotation charge was removed from my bill, and the work was ultimately completed correctly. I appreciate the employee who stepped in, acknowledged the issue, and resolved it. TLDR: Went in for a clear fix with clear instructions just for them to try to sell us a problem,…read morehaving to pick up the car during dangerous conditions at threat of fee or tow, completely negelent of their work which left us stranded on the side of the road for 3 hours during a snow storm. Messed up my tire for the price of $200, highly recommend!! Went in there to get a sensor replaced and gave them the obd2 scan. Because of the sensor problem we had to pull a fuse to stop the problem temporarily. When we brought it in they asked us about which fuse we pulled because they weren't labeled, we told them about the diagram on the fuse box lid, they then told us there was a circuit problem, yes because a fuse was taken out, put it back in we told you where the fuse was tucked away. They then sent us a $2400 quote for brakes. Our brakes are fine. This car stops better than our other one. We told them that was not our problem and we wanted the sensor fixed. We were told our brakes were "cooked" and upon hearing this asked to see them to inspect for fraying, chipping and looking warped. The "cooked" brakes look like brakes that were dirty. Almost like they're in a car. We decided these people aren't competent enough to work on our vehicle and told them we would only pay for the diagnosis, which was $200. Over phone I told the front desk worker that we live on donner summit and leaving during a snow storm would be difficult and dangerous, regardless I had to grab it that day or I would be charged with $75 per day or towing. Upon picking it up we left the lot and only drove about like 2 or 3 miles before we were stopped by chain control saying our car was unsafe to drive, we questioned and he told us to investigate the front passenger tire. After pulling over in a gas station we realize that the tire is completely off the bead, completely unsealed. We called them and asked about it and they claimed "my guys never touched your tires", when before they showed us a picture of our brakes but now they never touched our tires. So either worker at the front knows nothing about his work or they showed us someone else's brakes and recommended us a full brake job. The AI chat bots at a bank are more helpful than this guy. They said they couldn't fix it that day but they can charge us for a tow truck. We refused and got a free tow from our insurance. This problem took 3 hours to fix, which involved a tow to Stone's Country Tire which fixed our tire problem for free and in 15 minutes rather than 3 days.
