I really wanted to get out of California before buying another tank of gas but it couldn't be helped. It was here or run out and AAA would bring me two gallons on the side of the road. Of the 30 places I put gas in the van along this journey, this place was a full DOLLAR more expensive than every other one of those. Instead of a full tank - how do these people afford fuel?? - I bought exactly two gallons and that would be enough to get to cheaper fuel in Nevada. The station was convenient and I liked that there was full cover over the pump area. But the trash bins were full with extra trash sitting next to it. No squeegee here. I opted not to go inside. Stuff they sell are old, nobody checks for date expiration, bread with mold for intance. Pretty sure owners make all kinds of money, is the only gas station in miles, invest in cleaning and maintenance of good products!!! read more

I work really close to this place and have watched it change about 20 times over the last couple of years. Currently, it's a gas station with Truckee priced gas, some sort of hybrid market with a weird assortment of grocery items and a place to buy lottery tickets. I usually only buy junk food and drinks/beer from this place. The other day I came in for some beer and had to go back to the cooler when they tried to charge me $18 for a 6 pack of not that special beer. The cashier just looked at me just as surprised but didn't feel like double-checking that price or asking anyone if it was correct. As I returned to the cooler I realized that all of their beer is marked up 2-4 dollars. I got my beer and moved on with my life but sure am happy they're putting an actual grocery store in right behind this place. read more

This place is called "Fast Lane" and yet gas pump 11 took almost 15 minutes to pump about 12 gallons of gas into my car. I'm pretty sure an eye-dropper could have done the job faster. Also, the auto shut-off failed, which meant that as my mind wandered during the 15 minute fill-up, I didn't notice the gas beginning to overflow out of the tank. I'm thinking Fast Lane would benefit from some new equipment. Or just better maintenance of the existing equipment. Either way, unless you're rolling down 267 and about to run out of gas, I'd advise waiting until you're in downtown Truckee to fill up. read more

Went into this business to get my car washed after driving over a 1,000 miles. After the attendant if I purchased the "ultimate" and all the bugs didn't come off the windshield and front grill if I could go though again at no charge. He replied it's pretty good car wash but yes. Went though the wash and it did a decent job but certainly not all of them. Went back into the store and the rude manager needed to be called. He said he would never honor his employees comment; and I left without a another run though. Never will be back! read more

really bad customer service :( Be sure to check the dates on everything you buy as they do not ever take returns and will insult you for trying. Way overpriced and a total bad value. They would not exchange nor refund my money for products I bought. All sales final????? Um ok on out of date merchandise????? What complete jerks. Cashier refused to turn on air pump for me after I purchased gasoline. His excuse was that their remote button had been misplaced. He also refused to start the pump using their quarters. I cited the CA law and he still refused. Pump charges up to $1.75 for air. read more

Tucked in next to the Hampton Inn is a gas station that has a killer Convenience store. we were looking for beverages and snacks (I dont know the gas prices honestly but it's all expensive in Truckee) and found a goldmine. Some of the wackiest products you'll ever see in a candy/snack aisle. Like a candy shaped to be a rapper's gold grill. Or candy made to look like pizza and hamburgers. When it's slippery and freezing out, and you are staying at the Hampton Inn, this is a lifesaver store. They have a great selection of west coast microbrews, junk food, random other stuff. There's a Togo's for some hot pastrami or chili, and of course, gas. You might complain about prices, but good luck finding the local wal-mart. Just grab a sandwich, some beers, and head back to the spa after a long day on the slopes. read more

I moved to truckee last year and have yet to use another gas station. It's my one stop shop for almost everything. They are always fully stalked with some of the best brands. And most importantly, hands down some of the best staff around. Always friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond here. It is what prompted me to write this review. I always leave with a smile. This convenience store is, well, convenient, but it charges highway robbery prices. Sodas are $2 and a six-pack of beer is $10. The sandwich counter is nice and not too overpriced. read more

The dirtiest convenience store I have ever been in , piles of of old food at the bottom of the refrigerator display cases . The bathroom is so gross !!! The gas is overpriced and only about half the pumps work . It really seemed like it was a nice place to stop at when it first opened but it went downhill fast . I'm surprised the health department hasn't shut it down. If you buy a sandwich there you a very brave person. read more

This station sucks. Everything is ALWAYS broken. Air machine, vacuums, pin pads on pumps, the car wash. And it's all BEEN broken since the winter at least. The owners should be ashamed of this place. read more
