My 2 week old baby was having trouble getting any sleep he would only nap 15 minutes then wake up crying. He was super fussy and gassy. For me, my experience at Donohoe Chiropractic was a very mixed bag. I felt that the team offered exceptional chiropractic care and fantastic understanding of anatomy and the spine. I felt relaxed after my adjustments and enjoyed my time with the Chiropractor. However, as a healthcare practitioner, I highly disagreed with the way that their Chiropractors provide "medical advice" when they are not truly educated in it. I understand they they follow a lot of holistic or "crunchy" lifestyle choices, however I feel that these are choices and should not be portrayed as medical advice. I felt highly uncomfortable having a chiropractor try to provide any sort of co-sleeping, appropriate weight gain, and sleep practices. As a former Pediatric ICU nurse, I was a bit baffled that a chiropractor told me to have my 2 month old sleep on his stomach when it clearly goes against all safe sleep practices and feel sad that other less informed parents may believe that he is correct or even able to advise families on these topics. Overall, the staff was very nice, but I felt truly uncomfortable going into an office that is trying to provide me "medical" information, but yet can't follow a simple mask policy. If the information they try to push on their website is correct regarding masks, those of us who work in a hospital should all essentially be performing at a very low level as we do not have sufficient amounts of oxygen going to our brain (try telling that to a surgeon who is performing an operation on you or your loved on). Definitely some good things happening here, but a lot of things that also made me cringe a bit. read more

He can work on them and adjust them if needed.....even with all their wiggling and even when they are babies and crying! I appreciate the personalized service we receive. I just told you my daughter is in pain I will be there for my appointment but they don't care about this. With all the security concerns of hacks lately leaving credit cards in doctors offices is not ethical at all. This office is unprofessional and in lack of good quality costumer service to their patients. They made me feel as a transaction to them and had no concern at all for my 11 year old daughter. My three year old son is a patient of Dr. Donohoe. My son has or should I say HAD severe eczema. He was extremely swollen, had scabs from itching everywhere, his eyes and lips were peeling, and he would leave blood stains on the couch and beds from his severe break outs. Before coming here, we had seen multiple doctors and specialists over the past TWO years. I was reassured over and over again that my sons condition had nothing to do with food or gut health and they would continue to prescribe him stronger and stronger steroid creams. I had one doctor even tell me "you can't test food allergies through blood work". They made me feel crazy and hopeless. Not only did Dr. Donohoe listen, but he genuinely cared about the health of my child. I was brought to tears my first visit, knowing my son was FINALLY in loving hands. Not only did we get to the root of the problem, but it was solved with lab work, diet change, adjustments and supplements. It's only been a month, but it has literally been life changing for my son. No more sleepless nights, no more hearing my son scream in pain that his skin is burning. Not being able to help your child is a feeling I cannot explain. Unless it's absolutely must, don't go here right now. Dr Donohoe may be great but the entire office is not wearing masks or even attempting to. They also let clients in who aren't wearing mask themselves. This is crazy and irresponsible for a dr office. Very upset. UPDATE: We went back in today, again no masks. When the chiropractor came in I asked him to wear a mask while handling her (It's a mandate in California that businesses comply with mask orders). He then asked why we were asking him to wear a mask and I said because it's the mandate and we're trying to protect our daughter (4 weeks old). He then proceeded to scream at us that he was not required to wear a mask, masks decrease oxygen and actually contribute to the spread of diseases and that our daughter was the least likely demographic to get COVID and that he knew about my review on Yelp and was going to look past it and treat our daughter but now he won't be "disrespected" in his own business and asked us to leave. I know i can't force people to wear masks but as a business in California there is a mandate (we called and confirmed with the board in California) and we're just first time parents trying to protect our baby. I seriously cannot tell you how much of a blessing Donohoe Chiropractic has been to me and my family. We see Dr. Oldenburg but every single person in the office from the front desk to the other doctors know us! It's such a welcoming, family feeling when you go in. I started going after my 4th pregnancy was taking its toll on my body. I also brought my 3 kiddos in just to get checked out. One has ADHD and the other severe migraines. Not only have my ailments and pains been completely taken care of and improved, I've noticed a huge difference in my kiddo with ADHD and a 90% reduction in my daughters migraines. Dr.Oldenburg takes her time and always makes us feel like we are old friends catching up, her knowledge is always surprising us and teaching us. I seriously love that my girls beg to go see her. My middle (ADHD) kiddo wants to be a chiropractor when she grows up now. From my pregnancy headaches to my hips being off I walk in feeling like a train wreck and leave feeling like a new woman. This team has been a life changer for our family! Yes, you do have to reserve your spot with your card, yes there's cancellation fees but when you know them, when you know the magic they can work and the knowledge they have it's sooooooo worth it! If you miss an appt there's a long list of others who would drop whatever to get in. They are always timely and considerate of the time you spend there. I took my 7 year old son for the first time to see Dr Oldenburg to hopefully help with his hyperactivity and focus. She explained to me in great detail what they do at their practice to help with that sort of issue and how what they do their isn't going to cure him but hopefully help him with their techniques and stretches. She is very nice and has a great personality and my sons had fun playing with the toys they have on the waiting area and the exam room. I was referred to Dr. Donahoe by a couple friends of mine after finding out my 2 month old son had severe reflux. I had taken him to the doctors several times, had ultrasounds and X-rays done and the only answer we got was to put him on medication. My doctor told me she didn't believe in the holistic approach but I am glad I didn't listen and made an appt. with Dr. Donahoe. During my sons first appointment, he spent a good hour with us discussing his technique and what he would do for our baby, and after he looked over our son and adjusted him, he was like a brand new baby. He called me himself and we met in his office where he gave me a tour and had me follow him as he saw a few patients (with their permission). I was impressed with his knowledge and his bedside manner, and his patients so loved him. Since that visit I have sent so many moms and families to him and all have been so happy with his care. His practice has grown and his office was recently renovated and it's absolutely beautiful. His wife Veronica sells THE BEST Elderberry Syrup I've ever had and I have bought several for myself and family as well as other families I've served as their doula. Dr Donohoe is so comforting and intelligent. I left my first appointment feeling very hopeful and optimistic that the treatment will benefit my daughter. The front desk staff were helpful and supportive. The office is clean, comforting and welcoming. He's the go to chiro in the area for tongue/lip ties. If you think your baby has ties go here first! Then he will direct you to the preferred providers he works with from there and monitor the progress and perform the body work. He called me the next day to see how things were going and I felt like my daughter had been more efficient at nippling her bottle. So we're making improvements just from the first session. Definitely recommended!!! We get the best care at Donohoe Chiropractic. My 3 kids have all been taken care of through their multiple sports injuries; rugby, football, motocross, baseball, gymnastics, etc. You name it my kids have hurt it and Donohoe has fixed it. Bed wetting is a huge concern for one of my teenagers and as long as we come in regularly he is safe from that embarrassment. My husband throws his back out yearly it seems and he is always back to normal and back to work within a couple visits. I was seen during my last pregnancy and Donohoe was able to get rid of all my pain that the doctors said was just part of being pregnant. Our newborn infant was seen with the first 3 weeks of her life. We also use/take a few of their supplements to keep our immune systems healthy. At my 36 week OB appointment, I was informed that my baby was transverse. After being told by numerous mamas that Dr. Donohoe has over 20 years of experience turning transverse and breech babies, I decided to make an appointment. He got me in the next day (on a Friday) and took my situation very seriously which I really appreciated. It was a very detailed appointment with a personalized approach. Soon after that initial appointment and into the next day, I felt tons of adjustments and big movements. By Sunday morning, baby was quiet. I went back in on Monday to check baby's position and baby was HEAD DOWN. I had an OB appointment on Wednesday and doctor confirmed that baby was still head down. Been coming to Dr Donohoe since my baby was born. Helped get rid of her eye infection within the 1st day saw improvement. She suffered from constipation Dr Donohoe not only helped me in his office but also gave me great advice on what to do at home. He also has a baby probiotic that help out with my baby's gut problem. The entire staff at Donohoe Chiroprsctic is amazing. The adjustments are done with a tiny instrument so no popping and cracking but aligns your spine perfectly. I highly recommend Donohoe for babies and children. When our grandson was a baby he kept having ear infections. The doctors wanted to put tubes in his ears but our daughter learned that could cause hearing loss so she took him to a chiropractor instead. The chiropractor gave him adjustments and once the spine was set in proper alignment, the ears could drain properly and no more ear infections. read more

Previous review (2 star): I got the opportunity to see Dr. Donohoe during my pregnancy with my second child. He was referred to me by my midwife. He is a patient and kind hearted man who explains everything before starting. During that time I had my husband, my newborn daughter, and myself see him. I had a pretty uncomplicated pregnancy and home delivery which contributed to regular visits with Dr. Donohoe. Upon getting pregnant the third time around I was advised to see Dr. Donohoe again. I made an appointment with the front office and because we switched insurance carriers, Dr. Donohoe was not contracted with our new insurance and we were told we would have to pay out of pocket $65 for each visit. I had always previously had a pleasant time in his office and I trusted him so I agreed. On the day of my appointment while driving to the office, I gave a courtesy call to say I was 2 minutes away. My appointment was scheduled for 11:50AM. The front office told me that I couldn't be seen because Dr. Donohoe had to be out of the office by noon that day for a personal appointment. Then proceeded to tell me that because I was considered a returning patient I needed more time for my appointment then normal so she would have to reschedule me. At this point I was very frustrated. Why schedule me for a 10 minute appointment and charge me $65 dollars as a cash patient when you knew that there was no way I was not going to get "quality" care in 10 minutes? I scheduled my appointment over a week in advance so they had more then enough time to call me and let me know. Even if Dr. Donohoe had made his personal appointment last minute, the office should have notified me that I needed to be there way earlier then my appointment time so that he wouldn't be held back or at the least not schedule a "returning patient" for 10 minutes in the first place. There was no apology for whoever scheduled my appointment, but they made sure to mention when I scheduled my appointment that I would be charged a fee if I did not cancel/reschedule within 24 hours of my appointment. If I waste their time I would have to pay for it but I can't even get an apology if they waste mine? Needless to say, my family will not be returning patients to this office. I have since found another chiropractor who is Webster certified in the area who I will be seeing instead. Update to 4 star: I received a call from Dr. Donohoe's wife and office manager, Veronica on the same day I posted this review. She was very understanding of the situation and more then tried to rectify the problem. I genuinely believe her apology for how her front office staff handled the situation was sincere. It was a mistake made by both parties and she handled it professionally. I commend her for her speedy response to my review and wanting to improve her office practices to ensure all of their patients feel valued. read more

We would NEVER go anywhere else. We started with an immunologist for my daughters issues and left just feeling uneasy. Upon research of chiropractic care I took a leap of faith before applying any plan of care from previous physician and that was the best decision we've ever made. Dr.Donohoe took the time in our consultation to really listen to every concern and made sure I fully understood his explanations and what his plan of care would be and outcome if taken that route and we've never looked back. Now that she has been a competitive dancer since in his care, he goes above and beyond to even look over every little body ache and pains and ensures she's dancing/stretching correctly to ensure no injury in addition to her primary health concerns. They have recently decided to go out of network with my insurance (I've worked with insurances for 12yrs so understandably know why) but I told my husband maybe she'll be ok and we don't need it anymore and even my husband say absolutely not. I'm so happy to have been referred here by a friend. They have amazing service and make you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. They were very thorough I explaining everything. My son had been having the worst headaches and after seeing a Neurologist we opt to trying this office. His headaches have gone from 8/10 everyday to now vary rarely and at most 3/10. I started seeing Dr. Donohoe over 7 years ago after a very traumatic twin birth delivery that resulted in death of both baby girls. He was suggested to me because he is so knowledgeable in supporting women's health, pregnancy and pediatrics(plus so much more :)) He was so genuine and supportive. He kept me in the best alignment/health to prevent miscarriage and helped me become pregnant again. I now have 2 healthy living boys that he has seen since birth and he also supported me during my pregnancy. I feel he helped me so much that I was able to deliver VBAC all natural/drug free very easily. The staff is very helpful and friendly via phone plus very inviting in person. They also help out with my kiddos so I can get adjusted. The office space and private exam rooms are so welcoming and family oriented with all natural wood non toxic toys and books for the kids while you wait. They offer a wide range of very vital supplementation for fast and easy access including some wonderful homemade elderberry syrup by his lovely wife, Veronica. I also love all the support they offer for breastfeeding too. Most recently my boys and I came down with a upper respiratory illness that was lingering for too long and not seeing too much improvement when using all my natural remedies that usually do the trick. Well I come to realize we had lapsed on getting adjusted by Dr. Donohoe. So once my 15month old and 6 year old got into to see Dr. Donohoe they showed rapid recovery.
