Don stopped by a couple weeks ago and fixed our Washer. A couple of days ago, the Washer started doing it's old habits again and we weren't sure why so we called Don again. He came by this morning and it turns out it was just a simple thing....we just needed to clear the sediments out of the screen on the water hoses. Anyways, I rely on Yelp reviews when I'm looking for services/etc and the reviews left on here is why I choose to go with Don's company. The other reviews hold up. Our thirteen-year old, well past its prime refrigerator started to die. No defrost, no cooling. The freezer section just about worked as a refrigerator. So I went looking a repair place after determining that replacing it would be too expensive. I wound up calling Don's Allstar Appliance. They sent Anthony. He quickly determined that the defroster unit was broken and that was pretty much all that was wrong. It took two visits (old fridge, parts must be ordered and take a while to receive), but he fixed it and it's working well. He even fixed the ice maker which hadn't worked in over a year. But more than competence, Anthony displayed a can-do, we're-here-to-help attitude in everything he did. If he is representative of the people at this company, then there is really no reason to call anyone else for your appliance repair needs in the area. read more

I called Don's Allstar Appl. Service because I had a problem with my GE oven. I called the store in early morning, prior to their store opening, left a message and when they opened, Don called back. Not only did he come the same day, he gave me a two-hour window, and was actually early! Don is quite knowledgeable in his field, diagnosed the problem, explained what was the issue, and what he will do to fix it correctly. Bob the hubs has worked with Don on several occasions at his place of employment. Bob suggested I call Don when our dryer went on the blink...I'm thinking, oh brother, I do not want to buy a new dryer! Well, when Don stopped in (quick response too!) He took a look and found the problem almost immediately. After talking to Don, I discovered he was the same Don that sold me several appliances at the former All Star Maytag store formerly located at Pacific and Hammer Ln. Don replaced a part, did a thorough cleaning of lint after removing the front of the machine and told me to have Bob replace the venting to the outside-very clogged and just needing replacing-plus Don knows Bob is handy. Because it was not venting properly the machine overheated. It was a fairly easy fix and much much cheaper than a new machine. In this world of throw-a-way electronics, I'm one for keeping mine going as long as it makes financial sense. read more

Our dish washer needed some care. It decided not to work anymore. We called Don. He came, ran diagnostic test on it & pretty much was so honest with us. He said he could fix it & showed us the cost. But he said we would be better off with a new one for the cost. He even gave us additional recommendations on how to save $ when we look for a new one. Incredible service !!! Me not knowing anything at all about appliances, Don could have replaced our whole Ice Maker because that's what I told him was wrong. The ice maker broke. He came out looked at it said it was just a little part in the trap door and BOOM it was fixed. Very reasonable rates. Very friendly service and very VERY honest. I highly recommend Don for all your appliance repair needs. I called out of desperation with a non-functioning ice maker, broken trash compactor and because I thought our washer & dryer were starting to break down. Don was able to fix both the refrigerator ice maker and trash compactor, which are still working perfectly! He checked the washer and assured me it was working fine and cleaned the dryer and recommended we have the vent to the outside cleaned and even recommended a company and gave me a coupon for $10 off.
