Jennair Double wall oven, You would think spendinding $5000 for an oven would give you a great oven for many years of service ! Not with Jennair !! The oven worked great until it didn't. 5 year warranty, pretty good. Our control panel went out at 5 yr. and 6 months. Was told by Jennair directly sorry out of warranty, that's not the worst part. Went to dealer who we purchased from, Don's Appliance, Irwin PA, was told the part is on backorder and there is no estimate on when the part is going to be available. Of course all the dealer was interested in was to sale us a new wall oven. well after finally getting in touch with Don's service supervisor, who did try to help us over a to long period of time, we were offered $300 from Jennaire and $500 from Don's. This whole mess took 4 months without an oven and no one seemed to care. We went to a more local dealer and purchased a Kitchen Aide !!! Love it and the dealer, Cabin Hill Appliance, strongly recommend !! read more

I never do this but very unhappy. Purchased LG washer in Sept of 2024 and 5yr warranty. Soap dispenser never worked right from the beginning and quit working in April of this year. No service tech till 3 weeks later. Fourteen days after it was fixed it ruined brand new sheets cause the sheet got stuck under the agitator. Don't know how that happened. Was told weeks before tech could come. Also told to put on Craig's list! Anyone want to buy a broken washer with a sheet stuck under agitator?? So disappointed in product and service. My washer went out on a Friday. I had a new washer delivered on Monday! The selection and price were great! The most impressive thing was the delivery service (Alexis and helper ) They were 15 min before the promised window . I was able to track the drivers on my phone so I knew exactly when they were going to arrive. They were in and out in 15 min. They were very friendly guys. They checked for leaks and made sure the washer was level. I would highly recommend Don's Appliances !! read more

We had a great experience with Don's Appliance. We needed a new oven ASAP as we were hosting a few days later. I was able to chat with a sales associate who helped me pick out the perfect oven to fit in our space - on sale too! I told her of the urgency and she got us on the delivery schedule two days later. The delivery men were awesome, hauled away our old oven and installed the new one within 20 minutes. Don's has an automatic AI service that alerts you of the delivery drivers exact arrival time and it was spot on. Would definitely recommend Don's when looking for a new appliance. read more

Purchased washer and dryer from Zack. It was a good experience going through the sale portion. Thanks Zack. The first installers I believe were interested in plug and go and not necessarily doing a good job. The laundry door wouldn't shut and they were ready to leave. After showing them this door issue, I offered an opinion of how I would fix this situation but, they did it their way which ended up with a kinked/twisted vent hose which is unsafe. But, they left. I contacted Zack and forwarded a photo of my issue. He responded letting me know another more experienced installer would rectify this asap. Two men arrived shortly after Zack arranged and after a short conversation, they began reinstalling the dryer. Happy to say they were polite and successfully installed the dryer correctly. Bought a new stainless steel refrigerator from Don's. Price was no better than other stores but I wanted to support local businesses. The delivery was made by 2 men who spoke zero English and one who spoke it enough for basic communication. The entryway into our kitchen was the exact size as the width of the fridge and they tried to go through but it stuck so they just shoved it through! Put a gouge in the fridge and scraped the paint off the corners of the entry. Emailed pics to Don's and they offered to replace the door. 6 weeks later they finally sent a service man with the new door. It had a quarter size dent in the side! He asked if I wanted another one and I said just put this one on, didn't want to wait another 6 weeks and continue having to deal with them. The new door didn't have any shelves, handles, etc so he had to take them off the old door and put them on the new one. Well I didn't notice till he left but he forgot to transfer over a little cam and a door stop from the bottom. Had enough of them so I spent about $75 to buy the parts and install them myself. Never again will I order from them. Just bought a new dryer from Home Depot that arrived with a dent and they immediately gave me 25% off. Now THAT'S customer service. read more

Purchased a Bosch dishwasher in 2020 with a 5 year warranty from Dons Appliance. This was a huge mistake. Last fall the dishwasher pump was not working and called for a service call with my 5 year warranty. The service man came out and pulled dishwasher out and said the warranty was voided because under the dishwasher was mice droppings (which was there when they installed the dishwasher in 2020). The renter of 5 years who is also a contractor said approximately 90% of the kitchens he installs have mice droppings under the appliances. The renter stated that he did catch 2 mice early fall with the change in the weather but was sure that since then it is mice free in the home. I explained this to the customer service manager who continued to say the warranty is voided even though the pump has nothing to do with evidence of mice poop and said I should be grateful that as a courtesy that the service call was waived. I have multiple properties in Pennsylvania and asked other appliance stores that I deal with if they void warranties for this reason and was told never heard of such a thing. Avoid Dons appliances. Poor customer service, not trust worthy. However, I always buy Bosch appliances and have been highly satisfied but would not buy from Dons appliances. read more

I bought a refrigerator from Don's Appliances last June. I also purchased the warranty from Don's which I was assured was significantly better than the manufacturer. It's been over a week since my new refrigerator quit working and we called to have it serviced. No one ever called us back. We called again and were told we are on the list to have it serviced. When we asked when that would be, we were told "When your name comes up on the list." I called again today and after waiting for 15 minutes on hold I was told that someone would contact us next month to set up a time to service our refrigerator. I was able to get the telephone number of a manager, Matt. He never called us back either. Obviously, the products Don's Appliances sells to customers are not reliable if the service center is this overwhelmed and unavailable when customers call to use their warranty. Our experience picking the washer and dryer with Patty at the North Huntington location was so great. Delivered the next day by delivery guys who knew what they were doing. We have now bought four appliances from dons, they have a motto they fix their product if anything breaks. We have had our Maytag Washer and Dryer for two years. The washer broke a week ago and the dryer this week. Dons Aplliances has a 3 week wait to get the appliances looked at and they charge $189. We hired a guy locally that does this he came within two days and immediately said it's the washers transmission and our dryer needed a new heating element. He told us best place to get our appliances is Cabin Hill Maytag, Dons is known for awful customer service. We will not be using Dons again. read more

Ordered brand new LG fridge. Got delivery date. Came home to 2 damaged doors and a fridge in my garage not the kitchen. They were unable to get it in they said so they were not going to try because that required removing the doors. Got the fridge in on Sunday with my husband and plugged it in and it blew up. Took them a week to come fix that. Then it wouldn't get cold at all. Called numerous times with back and forth phone calls and finally was expecting a call back with a day and time they were coming. Noone called for 2 days so I called the store. This store has customer service alright. Rude receptionists that hang up on you and do not listen to a word you say. When I called to find out what was going on with someone coming to fix or replace my brand new fridge she informed me that we were on the schedule for Wednesday. Keep in mind this is 2 weeks of not having a working fridge. When I told her noone would be home she said then I don't know when they will get to you. I asked her to please put me on the schedule for Thursday when my husband was off, and she said there is not an opening for you. I tried to ask her when there would be, and she continuously talked over me and said there is not an opening for you and hung up on me. a gentleman called my husband to let him and let him know they would be out on Thursday. Well, it is the compressor and now again we are waiting on them to call back with when they will be replacing my fridge. If history has anything to say on when I will have a working refrigerator in my kitchen it may be another 2 weeks. Please save yourself the hassle of dealing with this company. read more

Simply the worst. 6 months in to a kitchen remodel. Several uninformed delays. Today the coup de gras. A last minute uninformed change from and install to a large appliance drop off. " we will leave your 48 inch refrigerator somewhere inside your house until we get back". Not just a one time issue but a multiple employee multiple situation issue. Indifferent and disrespectful employees are the culture of the company. No issue asking for payment but now that they have had their money for months they can't find a way to fulfill their end of agreement. Please save yourself the distress and go elsewhere. read more

I was told about Don's from a friend. We were looking to replace our 16 year old fridge. It was on it's last leg. We were at Lowe's, Home Depot and Sears. Didn't 't find anything I really liked. Plus their prices changed weekly. So we decided to go look at Don's. I thought for sure they were going to be super expensive. I was completely wrong and surprised. While we were there my neighbor called and told me or fridge had just bit the dust. When she went to get the dog's food out of the fridge it was warm. So we had to get a fridge. We found a Maytag at a better price than Lowe's or Home Depot. Megan Shaffer was our sales rep and she was super. She let us look around and never once did we feel pressured. The sales and purchase process was good. The sales rep, Megan, was very helpful in answering questions and accommodating when I needed to change the order for my new stove. Service however is lacking. I am less than one (1) month with my new stove and it needs service. Aside from the fact that I am frustrated that such a new item already needs service I do understand that it can happen. However I am now on the phone waiting on hold for over 15 min with Don's service and no answer. When I go to the url the recording states to open a service request the web page returns an error from Don's Appliance that they are having a problem. Well, we bought 4 major KitchenAid appliances from Don's 9 months ago for delivery and installation. Went pretty well, except the oven didn't work, but Kitchen Aid Service took care of it a few days later. Would have thought the installers would have tested it, but..... Now my fridge led lights quit working......invested 47 minutes on hold with KitchedAid without an answer, 9 minutes on the KitchenAid chat webpage with no response, called Don's in North Hunt where we purchased, invested 9 minutes without a response. Here's my advice to yunz.....before you purchase appliances, 'pretend' to have a problem, call the 800 number, access the website, call the place where you purchased. Irrespective of price, THIS should be the determining factor in where you purchase and what brand you purchase. I had been without a refrigerator in my kitchen for more than 3 months thanks to 6 failed service calls from Sears. I ordered a new one from Lowe's - but after 15 days and two failed deliveries, I cancelled the order. It was about a half hour before closing on a Friday before a holiday when I walked into Don's Appliances and met Patty for the first time. We discussed the refrigerator I wanted which was the same model I had canceled at Lowe's as well as other options. I didn't place the order at first because I wanted to check at Home Depot. As I was driving there, I decided it would be insanity to go to another "big box" store when I'd already had two absolutely horrible experiences. I did a U-turn and made it back before closing, placed the order and got my refrigerator the following week! Unlike Lowe's who didn't even notify me that the delivery wouldn't be made, I got a call early in the week asking if Friday would be okay and then another the evening before giving me a more specific window. Kourt and Oz did the delivery -- I was so impressed and happy with their care and thoroughness. They protected my floor with felt runners and masonite, went into the basement to connect the water line, made sure everything was working, removed all the protective packing, installed the shelves, explained everything and even gave me a tip on how to reduce fingerprints on the stainless steel finish. Now that I've had the experience of GREAT customer care and service from Don's Appliances, I'll never go anywhere else. Shop locally at Don's - you'll be glad you did! read more
