For context, it was Saturday around midnight and sprinkling. Had it not been for TJ, I would've had to consider staying at a hotel until the next morning. When TJ came, he discovered that there were fuse issues with the car, making the replacement process more challenging. I left him alone, and within 15 minutes he was able to resolve the issue using the Owner's Manual - even had to buy the remote for his excellent service! Prior to leaving, though, I discovered that my retractable cup holder had been broken in the process. Let me tell you about a wonderful little business. I first called Don's Lock & Key to help get my key out of the ignition of my car. Yes, it was stuck, in the accessory position and I couldn't get the key to turn the car on, off, or pull it out. They told me they can come out and fix it but it would be $250. Then they asked if I have AAA. They told me to call them, they would dispatch Don's Lock & Key AND with mg AAA Plus membership I would save $100. Well I called AAA. Frank from Don's Lock & Key showed up in less than 30 minutes. He was very professional. He pulled the key cylinder from the steering column. This is my second time trying to deal with Don's Lock and Key through AAA. This time they quoted a price gouging $450 to replace a key fob and re-key a 2008 Toyota Prius. How do I know this is price gouging? This is $150 more than a Toyota dealership would charge. Anyone who is charging so much more than a dealership is obviously price gouging. I had an excellent experience with Don's, and highly recommend them. I requested a quote to install a deadbolt, including drilling the door and frame. They got me a quote within minutes and scheduled the visit for early the next day. When Derek arrived, he was friendly, fast and went above and beyond. The pre-existing lower knob/lock had not been correctly installed, and could've been easily credit carded. So he removed and reinstalled it first, then installed and tested the new deadbolt.
