Mike and the staff are amazing! We knew what we wanted and walked in just to " look". Not only was Mike able to get us a fantastic deal, they were awesome when it came to SERVICE! We also had a chance to watch their service station in action. They were completely full and all the staff was doing a great job. I've brought my RV in for repairs yearly for ten years. Mario has been the guy who has fought successfully with my insurance company when they didn't want to pay the necessary costs. They just installed a new awning because the one that was previously installed had multiple pin holes in the awning, no questions asked. He has a wealth of information regarding ways to maintain battery life when my RV is in storage, how to maintain my hot water tank, and how to best keep my awning from gathering mold. I was very dissatisfied with the service and response I received. I went with a problem of a leaking toilet and was told it didn't leak. After calling I was told that it didn't leak. It DID. Dropped my rv off and had to keep calling to see what was happening with it.i even gave them a green light for anything under 1k I finally heard back at almost 5pm on Friday expecting to get my rv back and they said I have to wait for Monday because he didn't want to stay late and do his actual job. I really needed my rv back this weekend and he could give 2 shits. Good god, where to begin.. ‍ bought a 2022 398 carbon toy hauler. So we've had issues with it from the very beginning. That's a keystone thing but the lies from sales and lack of knowledge from service is just killing me.. the shower wasn't sealed with silicone so water leaked everywhere! The solar didn't work had to take it in 3 times!!! Because we trusted they would have it fixed! It wasn't until the 3rd time it was fixed. And they left a mess, greasy hand prints, dirty foot prints I had to scrub off!! Come on!! We recently took it in April 2025 the power from the generator wasn't making it to the trailer. The underbelly cover fell off and the wall from the toy hauler bathroom popped out and we hadn't even used it. We had to pay for the repairs to the underbelly and the wall $190/per hour. Took almost two hours. But the generator wasn't making covered under ext. warranty. That's fixed but the solar is off!! OMG!! ‍‍ it's not like they can come and fix it. Have to take a morning off to take it back again and another morning off to pick it up. Good god!! Can they just check their work before they release the product? Can they just do better at intake? Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with sales department manager. My phone calls were not returned, not even as a courtesy. I've been bringing my coach for repairs and service for over 10 years to Don's, but the way I was dismissed by the sales manager is unacceptable and sheds a very dim light on customer service. I was advised my coach was too old for consignment consideration. I accepted that decision and moved on. I did receive a call back from Mike Tangle who asked for pictures. Unbeknownst to me, those pictures were shown to JJ who again said "too old." LOL ... Anywho, communication barrier for sure, I didn't. Our trailer took longer than expected to get here and they were giving us updates on the status continuously. The parts and service department were very knowledgeable and thorough on our walk thru. Not a great experience here. The salesperson kept asking questions incessantly. I understand as a salesperson you would want to qualify your potential customer but it truly seemed like the standard "used car" salesman experience. Conversely, when asking the salesperson whether a particular model had a specific feature the answer was "no" but that was incorrect after pointing certain details. C'mon, before you give a customer an answer shouldn't you truly know the answer as a representative of your business? In any event, their inventory seemed to have a decent a variety of used and some new RVs. What I thought stood out among everything was the huge sign stating something about having lower than show prices. The prices of their used inventory was significantly higher than the brand new models just down the street. Not a good experience. read more

Purchased a travel trailer there 2 yrs ago. I purchased extended warranty. I was seriously thinking of trading my trailer when i went in this morning. But the customer service that Mario gave us really sucked. First he could have told me over the phone that those things were not covered but i remember talking to him and he said just bring trailer in and we will see. He could have asked what kind of do of stuff was going on but he didn't. Second when i told him the issues we had he played along and then said this this and that is not covered. and i get it but as CUSTOMER SEEVICE he could have said let me see if one of the guys can take care of some of this stuff. I gave a one star just to be able to write this review!! They deserve to be out of business!!! Bought a trailer that has been in and out of there Service Department with absolutely no work done, as promised!! They have the WORST customer service any where I've been!!!!!! They actually scream at you!!!!! The manufacturer of the trailer got involved and told them to fix the problems on this new trailer!! She also told them NOT to keep it more than 6 days. Upon dropping it off they said the manufacturer lied and they have no parts to repair it....He said, we will level the table but, we have NO wood or parts to repair it. They said we can turn the equalizer around but not replace or repair ANYTHING!!!!! This is on a NEW 2021 Gulfstream Amerilite!!!!! We were told that the trailers were in a high demand over the pandemic and they were put together fast and didn't care!!! This trailer is an absolute LEMON!!!! We have gaps in areas where cold air comes in, wood trim falling off, kitchen sink leaking and the table broke and so unsafe we can't even use it or the conversion for a bed. It will hurt us or my little children!!! Don't rush to buy a trailer under any condition because they won't fix it and you'll still be paying the monthly payments and sitting home!!! The bank is a third party and expect the payments. Trying to get the Service Department and the Manufacturer to do what's Right is costing us lost wages from running it to the service department to get turned back home, cancel trips and lose deposits and from making memories with our family....We tell our children we booked a trip and then we have to disappoint them because the other parties don't do what they say they will do!!!!!! We were told to sue them by one guy at the service department. He said that will get Gulfstreams attorney involved. We all know that's a long process and very costly!!! Please be cautious in buying a recreational vehicle from Don's RV. They promise everything and you get ZIP!!!! Even paid for extended warranty but with only 5 camping trips between 2021/2022 on a brand new trailer, we can't obviously use that insurance yet!!! BEWARE!!!!! I wrote this so no one else gets this treatment and stress!!!!!!!! 6/1/22 To your response!!!! You called my husband saying you will not fix the trailer unless we removed our review. We stopped to see their selection of trailers and the sales rep was so friendly and not pushy like at best rv. They allowed us to look around and showed us ones we wanted to see without insisting we sit down to hash out numbers. We are newbie "rv" people... never owned one before but looking to get a small one to see if it's something we want to start doing. We are like tent campers but getting older and not wanting to sleep on the ground anymore. The people here were so nice and gracious! Came across this smaller dealership on our way home from a terrible one nearby called Best RV Center. The younger gentleman who helped us walkthrough all the trailers was absolutely wonderful. When we had picked out a trailer & put in an offer, they informed us the unit was already sold & wasn't supposed to be shown... they immediately tried to correct their mistakes in ways any good business would, offering similar deals. I wish the unit was in stock because we would've loved to buy from this place, we just werent going to settle or change our minds so we walked. An honest mistake that fell through the cracks with a capture mistakenly not reinstalled I drove away not knowing that the capture plate was not installed. Down the road about 5 miles the 40' Montana was slamming against the truck on braking and against the rear when accelerating. My next turn the Rv roped the hitch loose, damaging my torno cover. Mario the service manager assured me that they would correct everything back to original. He lived up to his word and replaced the damaged auto slider hitch, the torno cover made all repairs to my satisfaction I purchased the unit from Dons RV , I am pleased with the extremely pleased with the service and follow up with integrity and follow through. I highly recommend Dons Rv, they will treat you right, I know I am throughly pleased. Just ask for Mario the service manager and technician Ray and all the great service technicians there. read more

Bad experience with salesman and other employees: I felt an employee made an inappropriate comment/gesture and the business owner replied, "Clearly, I feel you are personally over-reacting." This is his response to my original yelp review: "Tara, we are the #1 dealer in Northern California in 20 RV brands, including Raptor/Carbon. Our salespeople are 100% confident (especially Julio, who is our top salesperson recently) and 100% friendly (especially Will, though I admit he has his quirks and odd laugh), with very rare exceptions. I choose to back my 32-person team. We are the #1 Montana dealer in Northern California, so we are very aware of Grand Design pricing (we compete with them daily) and only offer wholesale prices for trade-ins, like any other major dealer. Took my RV to Don's for major repairs because of reviews on Yelp and friends. Eric got my rig right in. It took a while to get the estimate and then for parts to arrive, Mario was great, so work could begin. BTW, insurance approved the work on the spot when adjuster saw it. I got frustrated in the beginning and the waiting because there wasn't enough communication coming from Don's in my opinion. I dropped by once I knew all the parts had arrived, because I was communicating with the manufacturer, and wanted a completion date. After some back and forth Eric told me he'd get it in and started the next day. He put multiple guys on the job and my rig was finished a week before I expected it. I purchased an R.V., a Gulf Stream vintage cruiser, from Don's R.V. in the summer two years ago right before the hard restrictions came into place with covid. We own two business's and have livestock so as much as I would have liked to have taken it out we never had a chance. We took to Tulare that October to take my granddaughters wedding dress and decorations for the wedding. No one has ever taken it out and camped in it. It has always been parked in an overhang and fenced area on our ranch locked. A friend of ours was moving to Texas so I sold him the RV to take to stay in while his house was being built. When he went and turned the heater on yesterday it did not work. So he and my son in law took the front off of it and found that the wires were cut and it was never hooked up, someone, I am assuming at the dealership needed parts at the time it was on the lot and took them. I went in this morning to see if it could be brought in to have the wires hooked up and see if it worked. The service side said can not get it in until the end of the month and the sales side said nothing I can do. I would swear under oath the R.V. was never used for camping and the heater was never used so we would have not found it sooner. All I asked was if we could run it in and have them hook up the wires and see if the heater worked. I forgot to mention the Sales Manager said it looked like a rat got in there, I said yea he must have taken his tools because the wires had been cut, not chewed and some of the wires had wire nuts on them. Not good customer service, salesman was good when we bought it but its the service that you need when you have an issue after you buy it. I will not recommend sending anyone I know to buy a unit there, its not the sales side one should worry about, but the service that you get when there is a problem with a unit. Marlene A. read more
