And in the background I can hear some lady yelling VERY loudly.."Maybe we can no find your name because you only make reservation one day ago!!! That's no good!!! Who does that!! I just rented a pick up truck recently and they give me one old truck which is totally fine on me for hauling stuff, the thing is when i returned the truck which i only used about 20-23 miles. Then sales lady insisted i never put gas on it even though i id filled up little way up than it used to be and they charge me extra $. Well, i don't mind if they charge me any extras but, i really felt bad that when they are saying that they know i didn't. read more

I had a very different experience to the other reviewer. In contrast, I accidentally overfilled the tank by quite a bit (habit of just filling up the tank) and they refunded me part of my fuel charge. They really weren't obligated or asked to do that. I've rented trucks from Don's at least 5 or 6 times in the last two years and they have always taken good care of me. The trucks were clean and well maintained and the rates were fair. They typically have more selection than the other local rental companies. I don't think I could ask for anything more when renting a vehicle. read more

Renters Beware! this is not an honest business at all! We rented a truck there because we needed to move some furnitures from the house and everything went smooth till we returned the truck. They say to fill the tank up to full when you return the truck or you will get charged $30 and thats understandable, so thats exactly what we did. We filled it up at a gas station in Ewa beach and drove to waipahu to return the truck later on that night while they were close which was fine according to the owner since we didnt have the time the next day to return it. Bad decision! they ended up saying that the gas did not go all the way to the full mark ( which the line never went below full mark by the way, i made sure I looked before dropping everything off) and ended up charging us the full $30. I mean we drove the truck 6 miles, do we have to carry a gas can with us just to make sure the gauge doesnt move barely a milimeter? It shouldnt be like that! i mean if a business have to scrape off $30 from a customer dishonestly then theyre obviously not in good shape as a business and thats not what an average person that works hard for their money would want from a business. The only reason i have one star on this review is because its by default. I will never ever recommend this buisness to anybody, If youre looking for a truck try home depot they rent out trucks for $8 an hour. way better than getting yourself ripped off! read more

We needed to rent a UHaul truck today. We didn't have a previous reservation, my husband called asking for a 14ft truck. The person who answered said to just come in. The office is pretty dirty and shady looking. The man helping took our information slowly and seemed like he had a hard time using the computer. Nonetheless the rental process was fine. Our truck was in working order, clean interior, and no gripes about gas mileage used, etc. Don's truck rental met our needs, nothing more nothing less. read more

Where do I began, reservation was made, online check in done. Arrived, could not find my reservation, gave him name and Confirm number and told them I did online early checkin, still nothing. Took forever to get me in the system. Asked what kind of truck I wanted etc. when I looked at the paperwork, they had me initial a waiver stating I was responsible for damage, I told him no, just as in my online reservation stated, I would pay the extra for full coverage. Drew a line thru it and said there was still a $250 waiver if it was damaged even thou, I paid the FULL COVERAGE fee, at this time I said whatever, I was on a move out dead line and had to get on the road. Truck was a Mess, I'm not talking a little trash, it was Old junky, AC barely worked, window handle was gone, dust about an inch thick on dash board and it smelled really bad. - That was the truck- now the office, when the owner could not find me in the system a young lady that worked there,walked in, burped extremely loud right behind me, seriously- do that in your own home etc but this is a business, and then she walked pass me, there was a window to this add on of a so called office, she pulls her dress up( you could see everything, sits down and goes to the restroom ( I'm like 10 feet away) I turn away, embarrassed that someone would just go to the restroom in front of customers- you can't help but see what is going on and I was not the only person that was there,(which that lady also had a reservation that could not be found) I go to return the truck that afternoon, they are closed and NO drop box, so in the middle of my move, I have to stop everything and spend an hour to take a key back. unprofessional service, do not go here. read more

Very rude, verbally abusive Korean lady, called customer ahead of me stupid and other abusive words. I can't believe you have people like this operating a business. I made my reservation online on Aug. 8th and I was picking up on Aug 15 at 8am, I made the reservation way ahead of time to ensure my reservation. I then received an email advising me to online checkin to speedup the pickup time so I did the night before, when I got there this Korean lady started yelling at my husband that we made our reservation the night before and how are we expected to have a truck at *am when the next truck avail. won;t be back till 9am. She refused to listen or look at our reservation printout that stated we reserved almost 2weeks ahead, she told us we had to wait. We were going to walk out but we planned our move months ago. We waited an hour and a half until a truck was avail., this wass the single most unpleasant experience in my life. The place was called Don's uhaul rental and I will tell everyone I know about my bad experience. I almost thought of calling 911, that's how bad the owner was to all the customers.
