Since forever I like to do craft and with places like Lowe's it's taken to the next level that I couldn't imagine like my Dremel...as I used to go to my secret spot to find shells I do use them for various project that requires for me to drill holes into them and some craft places do have drills but it's for basic simple items not the hard and sometimes thick shells we have here in Hawai'i. They do have an app that really helps me to find what I'm looking for without driving to multiple locations or asking customer service to check for me is the convenience that's more than amazing. On this visit they did have an item that I've been searching for quite awhile that only they have and had it in stock...thankfully and if it's that important I'd recommend that you do purchase them online for a store pick up which is completely free and does secure the items as well. This Waikele Shopping location is nice as they lots and lots of free parking which is just steps away from their doors though is massive but the staff is very helpful and friendly that has me getting on my way just as fast as I ordered it. We bought it 1 week ago and figured exchanging it due to defects should not be a problem. We brought the item back at went to returns and exchanges customer service. We were greeted and told it would be faster if we take ourselves and grab the new item then come back to do the exchange. We did that, then were told at the register by the same worker, that the item was not eligible for an exchange due to it not being purchased and returned within 48 HOURS. We bought it 1 week ago, brought it back in original packaging and with the receipt. What's the issue?? She called her manager MARIA to assist and possible get an override. We waited some time for MARIA to show up, and at this point we had a long line behind us. When MARIA showed up, she disregarded the customer in line including myself and husband. She spoke very disrespectfully to the other worker and asked if she could use a register. Which then she logged on and said "what's wrong with this one" in a rude tone. She did not help assist, and visibly looked like she hated her job and did not want to be there. In my opinion? You can leave sis. Don't show up to work in customer service everyday if you obviously hate your job. We were told we need to go through the manufacturer themselves and get the "approval" before we can come back and get our item reissued. This is bullshit lol and the workers here are a legitimate joke. For future customers? I would stick to city mill and Home Depot. You'll get top of the line service at other companies with the same quality of product.

Luckily, City Mill was in the same shopping complex on where I was working, so I decided to pop on in to check it out! Located at the Laulani Village Shopping Center, you'll find City Mill towards the opposite end of the mall (from Safeway) as the store is just next door from Petco. Like any hardware store, you'll probably find whatever you need here for home improvement, and I even saw that they carried some pet supply items, too! Got what I came here for, and I even noticed their prices for the item I was looking for was even cheaper (lower) than Home Depot, or Walmart! They should fill to 4.5 gallons and no less if you have a 5 gallon tank. If they fill to only 4 gallons and tell you its because your tank is old, dont believe it. I found out from Airgas Kapōlei (808) 692-0432 that when your tank is empty it weighs 20 pounds and when its full it weighs 38 pounds or close to 4.5 gallons. 17 pounds of propane is added to your empty tank. Aloha LP Gas charges $20.00 to fill a 5 gallon which cant be beat so far on the West Side.

Now lets go to the line for the registers. We were standing in line and honestly didnt even know there were 3 lines open. Tell me WHY, there was a customer at the "employee in training" register, while one was away talking to the guys standing at the door and one literally was just looking at us. Now I didnt know she was an open register till we got to the employee in training's register and was baffled that the other cashier literally looked at me and didnt even offer for us to go to her line when she clearly wasnt doing anything at all, but instead just stood there letting everyone go to the training cashier. the customer behind us even asked if she was open bc all she was doing was looking at us all. Like come on people, your job isnt hard, its not hard to call the next customer so u could help them. Sign ups open the 1st Saturday of the month for the next month and are usually full within a couple days. What you get: a free kid sized Home Depot apron (just like the workers wear!), a wooden toy to put together, instructions, a commemorative pin, and a little certificate of completion. They have paint and hammers out to paint and put together the craft. We've been coming for over a year and we absolutely love it! We especially love when they have vehicles like planes, construction vehicles, and emergency vehicles! We also love functional toys like piggy banks and trinket holders! They are pretty well made and last a while. Go to the Home Depot website and click or search for Kids Workshops to see what crafts are available for the next couple of months!
