Having lived in Dallas with delicious specialty donut shops, seemingly on every corner, I'm ALWAYS looking for similar type places here in Fort Lauderdale. Walking in and seeing the beautiful creative displays of donuts, I REALLY wanted to love this place!!! Aesthetically, the donut "designs" suggested that a lot of work and care went into putting these delights together. So many options - donuts topped with elaborate displays of Oreo cookies, Smores, Biscoff Cookies, Fruity Pebbles, Dulce De Leche, Nutella, just to name a few. After careful deliberation, I opted for the Crème Brūlée donut, got it wrapped off, and went off on my way. My first bite, I have to say I was disappointed. I wish the donut tasted more fresh and "doughy" soft. Instead, it had a more cake-like texture and seemed to have been sitting out for a while. Considering I went in right at store opening, I guess I was expecting a fresh-out-the-oven donut taste like they were baked that morning. I mean whenever I walk into a donut shop I always have the wake up early "gotta make the donuts" slogan going on in my head lol so it was a little disappointing tastewise. When I entered I asked the employee if he had just made these to which he responded no soooooo, just not sure how long before they are prepared. There is so much potential for this shop.

Excited for a great cookie I walked inside and was greeted instantly by the sole employee. The giant blue Midnight Cookies & Cream mural on the wall was inviting and set the tone for the next few minutes. The monster specialty cookies looked amazing but too heavy as a mid day snack. Another display offered a few smaller cookies and it was a difficult decision between the red velvet, oatmeal raisin or the classic chocolate chip which I went with. The employee offered to heat up the cookie which was great since it made the chips gooey. The cookie was a wonderful snack 8.5/10. The bathroom was very clean with white painted walls and black trim which blended perfectly into the black tiled flooring. The shop is open until midnight weekdays and 2am on weekends.

Why did I get two donuts when one doughnut is the size of my face. People wait in line for the coffee but also treat themselves to these gigantic treats. My favorite donuts are glazed twist, and sour cream blueberry. The shop had both, but I did not need to order two. Those donuts lasted two days. The yeast twist was very very dense but so fresh. The blueberry sour cream that I ate the next day was still fresh and the taste of fresh blueberries was very obvious. The shop was manned by two hard-working women. Coffee was made fresh.
