    Enough said!

Stopped in to sample their latest offerings. Came on a Friday , so I had one of their fritters, which is good... Not quite what I remember to be once , upon a time. Also, another favorite, the red velvet is smaller than it used to be. The frosting is good but again, not like it used to be in the past. Also, I had a coffee roll and that is smaller & not quite as good as it used to be. Still a pretty good stop. I would give them four stars.. Coffey is still decent. Nothing against them, but they are not my favorite place in the area anymore.

Delicious, decadent and made fresh everyday. The customer service is amazing and they have such a wide selection of donuts! You can't beat their prices under $15.00 for a dozen donuts. 10x better than all the chain donut restaurants.

    Eclair long john

Their donuts have consistently gone downhill over the past year or so. I remember when getting an eclair long john, you could feel the weight in it. Now it feels no different than a Dunkin' Donuts long john even though there's filling. Whatever happened to this place is just sad. It used to be one of the bragging rights of Joliet. The competition a few miles away will be taking all of their business if they haven't already. I feel like they spent all their money on trying to make the place more streamlined with TVs instead of a chalkboard. Seems like a waste of money. I used to bring a dozen donuts to my work in Chicago, right near Webers, and my coworkers would rave how much better it was than the bakery. Whoever owns this place now doesnt deserve it. They have ran it into the ground. I wont be back. Sad.

I tried the taffy apple doughnut, and I thought it was pretty good. I will say you want to get here early because all the good donuts sell pretty quick.

Idk how I haven't tried this place before today, but wow! Really good! Loved it and definitely will be back for more! My son even said "those donuts are bomb!"

He frequently brought up politics, demographics, and "statistics" at work in ways that felt inappropriate and often came across as biased. It wasn't the kind of environment I expected from a workplace. I personally chose not to engage with these conversations because I was there to work, and I try to keep my personal beliefs separate from my workplace. However, being repeatedly exposed to these types of comments from management made the environment feel unprofessional. I also noticed that he would tell us certain employees had quit, but after speaking with those employees, I learned that was not always what happened. This made me feel like there was a lack of honesty and transparency in how situations were handled. One comment that really stuck with me was when he told me and another young female employee that we'd be prettier if we spoke more intelligently and that men would like us more. We are both very young girls, and that comment was incredibly inappropriate and made us uncomfortable. I was also told that if I came in early every day, I would receive a $1 raise. I did exactly that, and I received the raise on my final paycheck. Just a few days later, I was fired. It was confusing to be recognized with a raise and then immediately let go without being given a meaningful explanation. I was told I was being fired because I supposedly had an attitude with a customer. When I asked what had happened, I wasn't given a clear explanation and was simply told they had decided not to continue my employment. I work hard, take my jobs seriously, and I rarely leave negative reviews because I know everyone is trying their best. I didn't contact them afterward because I felt I had already been treated disrespectfully. After the way I was spoken to and the lack of honest communication, I didn't feel another conversation would have changed anything. As a customer, I also found the food to be average, especially for the price. Before I even worked here, my mom and I had cheesecake from the café on a few different occasions, and every time it had a noticeable freezer-burn taste. For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality. Based on my experience as both an employee and a customer, I would encourage people to support another family-owned café instead.

Turns out, that everyone had the same idea, since the shop was closed Monday and Tuesday and that Wednesday was the first day back. I couldn't make it in time for opening, but about 90 minutes in; such a line!! I waited outside for 45 minutes, braving the cold winds as CDC guidelines only allow one guest in the tiny shop at a time. People were coming out with bags and bags of Hot Chocolate Bombs. When I made it into the store, that was obviously the main draw, although I did manage to take a couple cupcakes home, too. I scored two mint and two regular, both were filled with marshmallows. As I now was crazy intrigued at this entire fad, it definitely became the excitement of this more mundane holiday season. They were delicious (as were the cupcakes). Pro tip: follow the Cupcakery on Facebook. You'll not only know when there will be HCBs but also how many so you know how early to arrive to score some. They'll be making them as long as it remains cold out! Definitely worth the wait.

The cupcakes were good, maybe a bit overpriced considering they are fairly small. Cons- the coffee really was not good and no one in the place was wearing masks. I really want to like this place but I'm hesitant to go back while COVID is still happening.

It has a pretty strange location that makes it seem out of place. Just don't judge it until you go in. The prices are pretty okay for being coffee that's local and independently owned. Basically the coffee is the main thing of course. It's got kind of a small selection but they only make the best stuff. There's the basics like the lattes and a few of the specialties too. Actually can be good to not be too complicated. It's about $5 to get a specialty coffee, which isn't that bad to be honest. Also has bags of coffee beans to go. The last time in here I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. Like drinking cereal. They also have a few pastries. It's about $2 for a croissant. The Vegan Curved Croissant is one of these. Fluffy and still has a buttery flavor. There's also a few breakfast sandwiches. Finding it can be complicated. It's located in a building on Schoolhouse Road. There's also a pizza place in the same location so after going here you can go there.
