Nice selection of donuts that are a clear step up from the chain places. This is not a super fancy hipster donut place either so don't go in here expecting that kind of ambiance. This is kind of a throw back type place. The donuts are fresh, large & fairly diverse. The prices are surprisingly low. Their apple fritters are huge and pretty tasty. The maple donut was good. Those were the only two I actually ate, but the rest that we got all looked tasty as well. The service was friendly & when we went in, it was very quiet. Pretty good donuts! The prices are great! The branding isn't amazing and it's nothing fancy, but I'll probably be back because there are so many things to try. As much as I love chocolate, my favorite had to be the vanilla frosted. The Oreo was really good, too. My least favorite had to be the double chocolate cake. I liked the chocolate chip even though the chips had bloomed, but I think I would have loved it if I had popped it in the microwave for a second to melt them. 3 stars because the flavor and prices were great but the place wasn't as clean as I had hoped. I had the pleasure of indulging at the Donut King this morning after a doctors visit. I arrived at 730AM and the place was empty. Thank goodness since it's really really small inside. As the PP mentioned don't expect anything fancy bc it's a bare bones dining area. Like auditorium chairs from the 80s. I was greeted by a guy and asked for half dozen donuts. Everything looked phenomenal!!! What I got: 2 Red velvet, 2 Glazed, 1 Half/Half, 1 Chocolate and 2 donut holes. The half dozen was $5.99. The donut holes was $.82 each. Hmmmm... Favorite: Red Velvet!! Y U M Customer service: Not there and that's why I had to knock off a star. I wasn't asking him to butcher me a 2" filet off a tenderloin. Just put donuts in a box. 6 donuts. The cronut was the BEST but there was a chunk of glaze that i had to remove because it overwhelmed the cronut itself. I like the texture of the bite. i'm a huge fan. I tried 7 different donuts. The maple bacon was salty and sweet, not my favorite but definitely still worth the try. Jelly filled donut was so good, I am not a usual fan of jelly donuts. Almond crunch is the most plain of the ones i got, it is a glazed with little crushed almonds (what i expected). I really enjoyed the pretty appearance of the fruity pebbles. It provided a good crunch and the cerea on top was fresh. The red velvet was dry if i'm being honest. The twix was perfect for a chocolate lover such as myself (this one was extremely fresh). Ohhh how can one EVER go back to Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme after discovering these ammaazzinnggg donuts?! It's dangerously addicting! I knew they had a location in Minneola that is open 24 hours and has a drive through but now they have a location in Winter Park! For such a small shop it's amazing they pump out so many donuts! I learned of this Donut King while in an online group discussion of the new White Castle grand opening in Orlando. Supposedly Donut King offers cheeseburger sliders like White Castle. I was there today coming from an out-of-town doctor appointment. We found the Donut King shop easily using GPS system but was terribly shocked at the "hole in the wall" distasteful store. It was clean, just bare, tables up against the wall, no chairs. No MENU. I was embarrassed with the company I came with as I explained about my online discovery and wanted to check it out. There was no menu, just a glass showcase of donuts and donuts on the back wall. Sure, all donuts look great to me! I'm a sugar freak! But we were there for lunch - sliders. I had to ask if they offer burgers and the cashier said yes they do offer. I couldn't believe the answer and I did ask twice and she gave me the same answer twice. It was just shocking. I almost backed out to leave, not trusting this place but the donuts looked really good - some were super-sized. We ordered two cheeseburger sliders each. Normally, a man would order a dozen, right? But he didn't feel comfortable either. We waited a good few minutes for the burgers. No plastic silverware to cut those super-sized donuts to share. I lost track of the cost. If you want to impress the person you are with - do not go here. If you want to get boxes of donuts for the office or a party - stop here for the sugary stuff. There's something for everyone. Very friendly staff and good sweets. I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention to the prices and there was NO MENU. No food prices posted anywhere. Had to stop by since it's recommended on Yelp. Well I was not disappointed. I got the maple bacon donut and apply fritter muffin. Both look good, the clerk told me the maple bacon is .99 more because of the fresh bacon. I'm like I don't care I want the donut lol. The donut is thick and tasted good. Right amount of maple glaze. The bacon was good but could be crispier for me. But it was very good. Haven't tried the apple fritter yet. read more

I've tried a ton of different stuff and it's always been phenomenal. Some favorites of mine include the glazed, the maple, and the butterfinger. They also have mini burgers- similar to White Castle or Krystal's, but way fresher. Their fries are seasoned and perfectly crisp. I've never had a bad experience going into the store, either. I've heard of this place through a coworker's of mines. He usually brings us the fruity pebbles one. I always been curious about this place so I decided to see it for myself. I went on a Monday with my son, and we decided to get a half of dozen. I honestly thought I was going to pay like 20 bucks for this but I was wrong. We ended up paying about $6 and was able to bring home some goodies. My son was a bit disappointed that there was no Nutella flavor one, but he got over it after he seen the chocolate options.
