One of the happiest morning rituals for me is to drive past Krispy Kreme donuts and see the Red lights on indicating the donuts are Hot! It is so much fun to go inside the shop and see the donuts on the conveyor belt getting slavered with the perfect glaze. The employees will offer you a free donut when the Hot sign is on. I always happily accept one. While inside I purchased a dozen donuts to go. My assorted dozen consisted of three chocolate iced glazed, one glazed lemon filled, two glazed raspberry filled, four original glazed cake, one cinnamon apple filled, one New York cheesecake. Usually my experience coming here is pretty good most of the time. This time for whatever reason my order was completely wrong and I'm frustrated because we've been planning for weeks to come get these donuts waiting for a family member and kept putting it off. We finally went today and I made the order quickly online before we headed there. I ordered 24 of the glazed donut dots. Not one of them are glazed. On top of that they are extremely weird looking ones like one that has black crumbles all over it and got smooshed in the bottom of the barrel, and all of them are dusty and crumbly. And also since my daughter has allergies to certain tree nuts, I have no idea what is in these donuts and cannot risk it so I have to throw out the whole box. Grand said I only paid like five or six bucks for the 24 glazed dots but it was a treat that my daughter was looking forward to and also myself and now we don't get to have it. We drove about 15 minutes to get there and then 15 minutes to get back so we did not notice that right away because like I said, I've always had good experiences here but this was just so frustrating. What a shame. We went through the drive-through to pick up the order and it was extremely dark. Part of the drive-through menu looked like it had either been broken or something was missing from it because part of it looked like something was wrong with it.. looking like a portion of it was missing . At first, I thought it was closed, but once we went around and noticed that there were still workers inside, we came through the drive-through and they were able to get the order very quickly. Another long overdue review. Krispy Crème donuts are the bomb from my childhood. My family usually ventures to the Daytona Beach store but today we visited a more newly modern store in Winter Park Fl. But the donuts are still so yummy and the original glazed donuts is still my favorite. Restaurant is very clean and the iconic conveyor belt (in all of the stores) still amazes me after all these years. The staff provided great service and always stocking the trays with new fresh donuts. Dunkin' Donuts will always have a place in my heart (being a New Englander) but no comparison with Krispy Crème. I highly recommend downloading the Krispy Kreme app and joining the rewards program. For your birthday, you get 3 glazed donuts for free. I visited late one morning to claim my reward through the drive-thru. I was the only one in line, which was nice. Ordering was a quick process. My app needed to be scanned for the birthday reward, so they employee had to take my phone inside the window to scan it. I would recommend having a scanner gun for the employees to use instead of having to take hold of the customers cell phone. The donuts were not hot (the hot sign was not on so that's fine). I brought them home and heated them up a little bit. The glazed donuts at Krispy Kreme are superior to all other establishments. They are so airy and soft. This is by far the best Krispy Kreme we have ever had. We got a dozen assorted and a dozen glazed donuts. They were all so fresh despite it being after 5pm when we got them. I originally planned on 1 or 2 donuts to see if they're any good, but the woman said the 3 pack is a better deal (4.49). I could have totally done an entire dozen, but I'm trying to be better! Everyone here was friendly even though I was undecided on what to get. Checkout was a breeze and I was in and out in no time. It's better to go here when you are heading South as leaving the parking lot can be a challenge. Also, I don't recommend bringing your McClaren or Lamborghini as you'll probably scrape the bottom on the steep entrance. I was upset when I did that to mine that I just traded a guy in the parking lot for his 80's Subaru Brat pickup. Sweet! I always wanted one! Went through the drive thru last night. It was a spontaneous visit after a doctors appointment nearby. We got our free glazed donut with showing our covid vaccine card! Wow never knew that a Krispy Kreme existed here in Winter Park! And it actually has a good amount of seating inside. We came here on National Coffee Day during the afternoon and it was quite busy. There are 2 entrances to the store. One in the back and one in the front. When we got inside, I was surprised to see a doughnut assembly line right in the middle of the store. You could see thousands of glazed doughnuts being made fresh and glazed with that delicious sugary topping. The people at the counter seemed nice and accommodating after we asked if they were still serving the free coffee and doughnut to everyone. We got our free doughnut and coffee and sat down to enjoy it. The tables seemed a little dirty so we just used some napkins to clean ours off. The doughnut was warm and sweet and left us craving for more. The coffee was good but nothing extraordinary. All in all, a good location for this franchise.
