We came in here 15 minutes before close (probably would have head back to the car but it was pouring rain) and the staff was awesome. Made us feel welcome to order food before close. We got a chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese on a biscuit and the breakfast biscuit with Mac and cheese and bacon. Everything was amazing. Only thing I would change is the noodle for the Mac and cheese, for a sandwich definitely should be a smaller noodle and not a corkscrew noodle. Delicious flavors. The biscuit was amazing. The bacon was so crispy. The sauce on the Mac and cheese was super cheesy. Great find.

Got the BEC bacon egg n cheese, can't compare to the amazing ny style biscuit! Was good, size it's more than enough but biscuit was a little dry and egg missing a bit o seasoning. But it's worth a shot!, service was fast

Quick service breakfast spot. We enjoyed our meals, the biscuits were tasty with a side of jelly or honey. The Mac and cheese was very cheesy and the breading of the chicken had good flavor. Indoor seating would've been nice, sitting outside on a hot Florida morning was rough.

The food was so good! I got the Chix & Grits -- solid 10/10. My partner got the Nashville Hot chicken which was really spicy -- he gave it an 8/10. We also signed up for the rewards program and got a free sandwhich so we went with the BEC biscuit. Overall really good food and great customer service as well.

You can't go wrong with a chicken biscuit for breakfast! Rise specializes in different Chicken sandwiches and biscuits. There is no indoor seating and you order at the kiosk on the counter. They've pretty much contactless here with the ordering process. The only contact was the worker making our food called our name to pick up the food after. I got the southern chicken, a chicken fillet with pimento cheese on a biscuit. It was decent. The chicken was well seasoned. I think mine was undercooked however. The center was slightly pink and rubbery. The rest of my party enjoyed their biscuits. Not bad, not sure I would recommend them though.

I ordered the BIG BREAKFAST BOX WITH TOTS, TWO FRIED EGGS, CHICKEN TENDERS, BOOM BOOM SAUCE, CHEDAR CHEESE AND GREEN ONION which came out to $12.57. It was good, you can tell it's fresh. Menu says it comes with choice of protein but there's is an up charge for it no matter which protein you choose so does it come with it or is it an add on? Either way I do think the price is worth the amount of food you get. I wanted to try their chicken and it was okay. I wasn't impressed nor disappointed. Over all the food LOOKS great and tastes good. I just didn't feel like it was anything out of this world. Service was amazing so an extra star just for that. They asked if it's my first time there and walked me through the menu and options. It was pretty empty when I went in on a Friday around 8:10am. I waited maybe 8-10 minutes for my order. Place was clean, right across from Trader Joe's in winter park.

I visited this location this morning for breakfast, and it was amazing. They offer outdoor seating and a self-ordering kiosk, which made the experience quick and convenient. The staff were friendly, and the restaurant was clean and well maintained. There's also parking available in the back, which is a plus. I ordered the blueberry sausage and egg biscuit,it was flavorful! It was about $12, but definitely worth it considering the size and quality of the sandwich!

It was my first time so I was wasn't sure what to expect. After reading other reviews I was prepared to wait a while but it was early on a weds morning so luckily I was the only one there at the time. I'm pretty sure they make the orders fresh bc I did wait mayyybeeee 15minutes after I placed my order. It was absolutely worth it though. I had a breakfast box with tator tots, scrambled eggs and sausage. It also came with their boom boom sauce. *I have no idea if that's what it's really called* but it was delicious. And the portion was perfect. Even though this isn't close to where I Iive I will drive out of the way to go back and try more things on the menu. I like how it was a simple breakfast but it was done right. I wish I would've tried it sooner but now that I know I'll definitely be back.

Better than fast food, same price. Amazing options! Trying the blueberry sausage biscuit next time. I got the club and it was big and hearty. The bacon was not thin and crisp, it was thick and perfectly cooked!! They forgot to put the bacon on at first but, they quickly got me a side of bacon which was almost better! The sauce is great, you do have to ask for ketchup. All of their orders are for pick up. There are 2 tables outside. I got the cheese biscuit, but I'd recommend leaving the biscuits for the morning. It was good but crumby so, a regular bun would work best and mesh better.

I have been meaning to try this place for a while and I'm glad I did! The inside was very clean and well maintained. It's mainly self serve and you see the folks cooking in the back. My biscuit was huge! I really enjoyed it but was so full after only half. The pimento was excellent too, I'll definitely be back with my fiance in tow next time.

Rise is a fun, quick serve place for a good chicken and biscuit in Winter Park. As part of their rewards, they often give a free item or discount though it has reasonable prices to start. You order on an iPad or the site and can pick it up from the pickup area or if you eat at the tables just outside (if you can snag one!) they'll text you or call your name. The food is good and made fresh to order, but still quick. Flavors are great and the menu has a good variety.

It is located in a great location and service was pretty quick. It is more like a storefront with tables located outside which is nice on a good weather day. When my food was ready they even brought it outside to my friend and I who were planning to eat at one of the tables. My favorite item was the blueberry glazed biscuit. It was absolutely delicious! The biscuit sandwich was a little too thick for me which made it hard to get a good bite. The tater tots were well seasoned and the portion size was great.

Love a good southern chicken biscuit.. have had better BUT would have this again if around the area. Love the easy style of self ordering kiosk. Menu is simple with different sandwich options including a vegetarian burger with fried tomatoes instead of chicken. Fries have a nice seasoning on them crisped to perfection. My children and I preferred the fries over the sandwich, that's how good these were! They have a range of sauces and I got the boom boom sauce which was good. (Extra .49 cents) The southern chicken biscuit comes with pimento cheese and bacon on your choice of biscuit (I chose buttermilk). It was ok, I would try a different one next time. Service was pretty quick, and since there's a kiosk, there's very little employee engagement. Ambiance was quiet, no seating inside! Only 3 picnic style tables outside. Entrance and Bathroom was clean. The drinks are self serve and if you order a coffee it's from Counter Culture and it's also self serve. If you order on the app, they have a locker system to pick up your order without an employee.

The steak frites are just as magnificent as my boyfriend and I remembered. Have you ever had a food memory? Years ago, my dad made the best steak I've ever had. He passed away when I was a kid, and two summers ago, when I took my first bite of the steak here, my mouth watered... but so did my eyes. It was one of the strangest, most beautiful experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. For a moment, it felt like Dad was sitting at the table with us. To taste something so familiar, something I hadn't experienced in over twenty years, was surreal. That's not a compliment I hand out lightly. So we each had that For this visit, we started with the rock shrimp tacos, and they absolutely did not disappoint. They packed a nice little kick without overwhelming the dish, and we practically inhaled them. Of course, we had to finish the meal the same way we did last time: with churros. Somehow they were even better than we remembered. Crispy, warm, perfectly sweet, exactly the kind of dessert that makes you argue over who gets the last bite. My boyfriend ordered two Old Fashioneds, and I had two Cosmos. Both were delicious and definitely generous on the pour. I was a little concerned when we arrived for our 8:00 p.m. reservation because the place was PACKED for a Thursday night. We ended up waiting a bit past our reservation time. The hostess suggested we grab a drink at the bar, but that area was just as crowded, so we hung out in the lobby instead. The wait ended up being completely worth it because we were seated at the exact table I was secretly hoping for: the most perfect little corner window booth, straight out of a movie scene. It was the ideal setting for our last night of vacation. And then there was our server, Anton. Anton could teach a master class on waiting tables. He was efficient, funny, attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. In a world where great service sometimes feels like a lost art, Anton was an absolute delight. The Ravenous Pig delivered once again: phenomenal food, excellent cocktails, memorable service, and one of those meals you'll still be talking about long after you've gone home. We can't wait for our next trip to Orlando and our next visit back.

The snapper collar tacos were the star of the show. Easily enough to share between two people, with fresh fish and really good homemade corn tortillas. The fish of the day was also excellent and the fresh ciabatta with garlic butter was hard to stop eating. The cauliflower appetizer missed the mark a bit for me, the pieces were a little too big and came out slightly undercooked. The chicken salad was just alright, nothing bad but nothing memorable either. Parking can be a little tough in the area, but the complimentary valet makes it much easier. I love that they have a quicker option out back with the beer garden, you can't go wrong!

But I had an urge to find some fried chicken that is lightly battered and this place hit the spot. Located just off of Park Avenue and Fairbanks is The Hen & Hog. Definitely some tasty chicken. I really liked the slaw that had garlic onions celery and some other items but it cut through the savoriness of the chicken. Yes, i ate all of it to the bone. Wife also got chicken and waffles which she thoroughly enjoyed. Also had fried banana peppers with a pimento spread. Pretty nice combination. Staff was super helpful. However, I was surprised that the bar bites and appetizers were still fairly expensive, so the food specials didn't feel like much of a bargain. We started with the coconut shrimp, the short rib tacos, and the bread service, and all three were fantastic. The coconut shrimp was crispy and flavorful, the short rib tacos were packed with flavor, and the bread service was the perfect way to start the meal. Everything was off to such a great start that we had high expectations for our entrée. Unfortunately, the chicken-fried steak (which is actually made with beef despite the confusing name) was a huge disappointment. The meat was incredibly tough, to the point that it was difficult to chew, while the breading ended up being the most flavorful part of the dish. The broccoli tasted like plain steamed broccoli without any seasoning, and the mashed potatoes were just average and didn't add much to the plate. The entrée was disappointing enough that we asked for it to be taken back and chose not to have it remade. What made the experience more frustrating was how it was handled. Neither the owner nor a manager came by to ask what went wrong or gather any feedback. We were also offered dessert in a way that made it sound complimentary, but it ended up being added to our bill, which was confusing. One other thing that stood out was seeing the owner speak rather sharply to an employee over a white towel hanging from his pocket. It may have been a minor issue, but it could have been addressed more privately. On the other hand, every other staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere and is definitely a nice spot for a date night. I can absolutely recommend stopping by for drinks and appetizers, especially during happy hour. Unfortunately, the entrée and the way the situation was handled kept the experience from living up to the expectations set by such a strong start. While I'm glad we gave it a try, I don't see myself returning.

This is not a standalone location as the are other businesses within the same building. You won't see P&D on the exterior signage but you will see "Soul Food Kitchen" A la carte buffet style food served. I like this so I could see what I'm ordering. Which is way I should have not purchased the Mac&cheese. Macaroni noodles and shredded cheese melted within. A serious faux pas for macaroni and cheese. I observed how many customers appeared to be regulars, and several people were ordering additional food to take home. I ordered two full meals. The main dishes are served with cornbread dressing on the savory side or rice. One suggestion for P&D would be to offer a brown gravy option alongside that is not meat-based specifically for the dressing. The highlights for me were the yams, fried fish, and pork chop and red velvet cake. Those dishes were well seasoned & well-prepared. Without being critical of the other side dishes this is what I would say: Sharing a few side dishes with your group before committing to larger portions. If you're a singleton stick to yellow rice, yams, and beans. While some food choices did not meet my palate, I can understand why this place has a loyal following.
