I love supporting small businesses and the fact they have been around over 40 yrs is great. I've lived here about 5 years and probably been here 5 times. I'm typically pretty satisfied as are my kids, definitely pick this place over Dunkin. My recent trip at 9am on a Sat. The selection seemed a little small and the they tasted a little old which was a surprise. I hope this was just a fluke. I will try again. The fritter and cinnamon roll look amazing. We tried a variety from this place including a plain glazed, cake with chocolate and sprinkles, glazed cake, and white cream filled with chocolate icing. Definitely better than something you would pick up at a grocery store. In terms of an independent place though, all of the doughnuts were very dry and not soft or fluffy in the middle. For the same price, there is another place in the area just a short drive away that we would pick. Glad to have tried it though, might stop back for a second attempt hoping our first impression was maybe an end of day batch as we were there on a Sunday afternoon. read more

Recently went to donut land for the first time. The donuts were delicious! Really soft and flavorful!! Unfortunately the older woman that works there was extremely unfriendly. She actually sighed and acted like we were annoying her when we were deciding on which donuts we wanted. The guy who works late on Friday nights is always so nice and pleasant . I stop in after bingo with my 2 friends and I always get the coconut donuts which are so fresh and loaded with coconuts . I travel daily around the Cleveland area for work and have tried most of the "Best" Donut shops in the area. George's (Twinsburg), Becker's(mutiple loc.), and Jack Frost(Cle) have topped my list for some time now, but I believe there is a new winner now. I have only visited Donut Land one time and they are already currently running neck and neck, if not edging them out, with George's. I don't do reviews hardly ever, but after sampling a variety of; cream filled(choc and van), sour cream, cherry cake, and a new favorite, a crescent, vanilla filled, raised, fried and covered in chocolate(think of choco. covered Twinkie but a hundred times better), I, (and coworker), believe they have beat the best. Even though my coworker and I stopped after lunch, all types were absolutely fresh and scrumdiddlyumptious.(yes, every bit worth looking up how to spell). Although most of the small donut joints have at or below average coffee, and this is no exception. These are so good, not to mention, at a fair price, and ridiculously great hrs of operation(not meaning to slight George's, which have terrible hrs ("Noon", and good luck finding much after 9am, although they are still worth it) Too bad I live on the Geauga County border and if the earth is flat, they are in the opposite corner of it for me, locally speaking. Can somebody in the northeast area of Cleveland please step up your game without me going out to Middlefield?! Tripped on this place while doing a job nearby and I thank the Lord for it. I usually really like this donut place- their glazed donuts are usually very good. However, the last time I went the donuts were dry and the customer service was terrible. The older lady working was rude and upset that my son and I were talking about what we were going to order before it was our turn and snapped at us and was just overall lacking in basic people skills. I probably won't be back- if the donuts were good I would probably withstand the rude service since it's only for a few minutes- but the donuts weren't worth the money. read more

Meh. I grew up on Jack Frost but wanted to try something new. Sadly these do not come close to the flavor or texture of the donuts I know. Bland and dry. My brothers love this place, and they introduced it to me a couple of years ago. The donuts are way better than Dunkin! However, on January 1, 2020, I attempted to buy donuts and the door was locked. I was surprised, because there were no signs saying that it was closed. That's totally fine. I saw a lady in there working and I knocked on the window to ask when they would be open. She completely ignored me. I couldn't believe it. I then called the establishment while I was standing outside. I saw the same lady start to walk towards the phone, then she saw me, made a hand gesture like, "never mind", and she turned back around. She didn't answer. Before she could walk too far away, I knocked on the window so that I could ask her when they would be open. We made eye contact, and so I started to try to communicate to her through glass door. I even tried to use body language as well. She then mocked me and turned away from me. That shocked me! She was talking to some man, then I saw him and tried to get his attention, but he also ignored me. All of a sudden, a minivan drove up behind me and a woman said, "They're closed." out of her window. I said, "Ok, do you know when they will be open?" She then answered. I asked if she worked there, and she said that she did. I told her the what had just happened to me, and she laughed. I most likely will never go here again. read more

Terrible customer service.went there on Friday morning(9/28/17)one guy had a table turned over working on it so there was no where to stand but by the entrance.was behind two ladies and was waiting for service but no one was around.another lady then came in.now there r 4people waiting yet no one at counter .then after a few more minutes a lady who was outside sitting at a table drinking coffee came in and went behind the counter and finally asked who's next.what a joke.i guess having a cup of coffee is more important than waiting on paying customers.I left without buying donuts and will never go back.I went to Dunkin Donuts instead! read more

Went in for a quick dozen on what happened to be Fat Tuesday, I hadn't even noticed. I've come here before so I had in mind what I wanted. I stood in a huge line for about 30 minutes, most of everyone were coming in to pick up their orders. Or put in orders to come back at another time hours later, I just wanted to get in and get out. The staff finally tried sorting the Mardi Gras customers from the others (me & three other people) I stated I needed a dozen non specialty donuts, jelly but mainly all cake. The person waiting on me had a horrendous attitude, I asked for 8 cake and the rest jelly. The moment I said jelly I was immediately corrected, rudely "paczkis". I said no several times, Not a paczki, I wanted plain jelly American donuts like I've gotten here before countless times. So I ended up walking out the door with a dozen of cake donuts, I don't plan on returning. Due to the crap service I've received, not just this time but a few times before. read more
