Such a fun little shop. We went in for ice cream but decided on milk shakes. You can make a shake out of any of the ice creams they offer. They also sell many souvenirs and offer strange treats like bacon and cheese flavored crickets. Customer service was friendly and fast. I'd recommend going here for a quick snack. We stopped by this afternoon and evening went smoothly. Decent selection of ice cream, saltwater taffy and chocolate goodies. Between everyone, we ordered a scoop of the following, marionberry, espresso coffee, and vanilla. It must have been good, I didn't see anything wasted. How ever they are CASH ONLY. ZERO STARS ALL THE WAY.....What the heck just happened??!!! My family and I are up visiting from Arizona and always frequent the bayfront. We could smell the waffle cones from the street and thought it would be a fun place to check out, there were two girls working behind the counter a young blonde and a brunette named Diana. I am a 40-year-old woman who owns a small business and 100% believes in customer service and treating everybody with respect!!! Before today I have never experienced such horrible customer service and hostile attitude. I even feel like I was being racially profiled:( Diana was helping a Hispanic family in front of us which she pleasantly greeted , smiled and spoke in Spanish, giving great customer service to. When it came my families time to order she was RUDE, short, gnarled and used her hands as if I didn't understand her. She raised her voice to the blonde girl as if irritated she wasn't working fast enough. She quickly rang me up and didn't offer a receipt. When I asked for one she said it was too late and walked away. I walked outside caught off guard...I feel like as a business owner if I had somebody like this working for me I would want to know, as I feel like this would be detrimental to a small business. I walked back in with my elderly mother to ask for a manager... Oh god forbid we challenged Diana. She continued to tell us it was illegal for her to give the managers name and argue with me about the receipt in front of other customers. The argument continued and I could see this was quickly escalating. I had to be the bigger person and walk away.! Down on the dock side to see the sea lions, decided we liked the idea of ice cream. Walked across the road and there was this place. They serve Tillamook and Umpqua Ice Cream they also have the usual Oregon cast tourist stuff..they also do Shakes/coffee etc. I settled on the Tillamook Hazelnut and salted caramel ice cream..delicious of course..kid had a peanut butter and chocolate shake..also great. The ice cream was nothing special but the girl scooping the ice cream was not friendly and she scooped with no mask or gloves and handled cash with the same hands. Considering we are in a pandemic, it seemed totally unacceptable. read more

The day that I came in was a sunny day. There was a long line , all the way our the door and some. The woman cashiering was the one making shakes, scooping out the ice cream and other things as well. She was calm, collected and was able to take everyone's orders and not let it get crazy. She did an amazing job. Props to you!!! I had two scoops of strawberry ice cream. Good ice cream- THE WORST customer service I've ever experienced. Went in today for ice cream, had my dog with me, asked the girl working behind the counter if it was okay if she came in (completely being fine if she weren't allowed but wanted to check) and she gave me a filthy look and said "I guess"... I responded with "are you sure", she just continuing to stare me down and no response. Picked up my dog and went over to order. She was disinterested in helping my friend and I and seemed like it was such an inconvenience we had walked into the store. Asked for a cone with vanilla and she dead eyed went and got it. Then when I asked if they had any rainbow sprinkles she sassily laughed and said "um no". Honestly, seemed like she really didn't want to be there. Was disinterested, cold and plain rude. Had her phone out on the counter so I must've interrupted her texting, that's a valid reason to be a horrible server- right?! This place, like a few other candy shops on the bay front does not accept debit/credit cards. They do offer an ATM, which doesn't charge too much of a convenience fee. I cannot say much about their items for sale, as the cashier decided instead of helping me, who was standing in front of the register with money in hand and ready to check out, helped a family of six who the kids had no clue what they wanted. They need to step things up from a hygiene perspective. Floors were gross. They only accept cash during Covid, touch cash, don't wash hands, then scoop your cream. The servers weren't wearing masks either. Disappointing. read more

Their candy in the display is far from what they describe them ass, found this out as I bit into a 'PB crunch' correction, it's a snickers bar. Big difference. The gummy candy is stale or no flavor. The lady behind the counter is not friendly. Rude, pushy to you out of the store as soon as possible and just didn't have a care in the world to make sure you had a good experience in the store. Terrible! The customer service was the worst I have ever seen. The menus don't show all the pricing, which is way more than anywhere else and the ice cream is mediocre at best.
