The second never responded with a quote?? CMB provided options, fair prices, and no pressure. But there were minor problems outside of the CMB control. First, the door supplier for our new door was 3 weeks late on the promised date (6 weeks total), and we were manually lifting the door during that time. And second, the LiftMaster 3.0 did not work with Homelink on both our cars. Both of our cars have digital icons / no buttons to lift the doors, which seemed to be the problem. CMB immediately replaced the opener with a compatible upgrade at no cost to me. The install was great. The company backed up their problems efficiently and without question. Their salesperson, Matt, did a great job considering the circumstances. So they are a 5-star company with 3-star suppliers. I would use them again.

I initially spoke with Matt on the phone requesting a quote to install a wall mount/jack-shaft garage door opener. He couldn't have been nicer, more helpful or more thorough. I had called four other companies and they all paled in comparison, not even a contest. Talking with Matt was like talking with a friend. And, his quote beat all the other companies. I was shocked and thought, "is this too good to be true? Is something bad coming?" Nope, things got even better. He mentioned that the crew who would do the install would be Cody and Noah, two of their finest and longest term employees. They showed up right on time, were super friendly and easy-going, but incredibly professional and confidence inspiring, pulling up in a beautiful, wrapped, company truck, wearing CMB Garage Doors shirts and hats, accurately representing the cleanliness and professionalism of the company. They were just as friendly and knowledgable as Matt, super easy to talk with, they explained exactly what they were going to do and how, we reviewed the parts and anything additional they might need, I gave them each a cold bottle of water and they were off and running. They installed the wall mount/jack shaft garage door opener beautifully, everything mounted cleanly, wires hidden, extremely professional, I couldn't have asked for more - and I'm kind of picky. They reviewed how everything worked and we tested everything, it was all perfect. They had triple checked and adjusted the spring tension and all the rollers and left the paperwork and remotes where I could easily find them. They didn't charge me any extra for using a credit card, which was fantastic, because that's always annoying, and the price was actually a few dollars less than they quoted. What? Amazing! I truly can't recommend them enough. I will only use them for future garage door service and highly recommend you do the same. If every company in America ran like CMB Garage Doors, the country would be an even better place, less stress, happier humans, and nobody ever feeling taken advantage of.

All of them were basically comparable on price, although Foothills was slightly higher and did not include tax in their estimate. Two of the businesses offered to come out the same day (I called about noon). One of those was Foothills. They came highly recommended from various Facebook sites. So, even though they were a little higher we decided to go with them. The estimated time for service was between 1:30 and 2:30. That worked out perfectly because I had an event later in the evening. By 3:30, however, I still did not have anybody there and I had not received a phone call. I called them back to check on the service. The man who answered the phone (Steve?) was the same one who took my call earlier to set up the appointment. He put me on hold for a moment and then told me he would send someone out right away. I never received any more explanation than that. The repairman (Pete) arrived very quickly, by 4pm. He said that Steve had never told him abiut the appointment, even though the original call was only 3 hours earlier. I never received any further explanation. He said the repair would take about 30 minutes. He was very good and quick, and even discovered that we had a cable that was badly frayed and needed to be replaced. The final cost was pretty close to the original quote with the exception of an additional $20 or so for the cable. Like I said, that was still a little higher than other companies. The warranty is supposedly 5 years, although he said the springs should last 8-10. However, the warranty will only cover the part that breaks. Since I have 2 springs, and they replace both when one is broken, I would still have to pay for the other spring and the labor. Each spring costs $45. So, the warranty only covers that cost. I would still be on the hook for more than $100 under their warranty. Overall, I was impressed with the relatively fast response time and the repair. Hopefully, I won't need to use the warranty. I was not impressed with the lack of communication regarding my original appointment. I should have been called if there was a delay. And I should have received an apology and an explanation. That poor communication gives the impression that they may not value the customer's time.

When I called for a status update, his employees cussed me out and said they wouldn't deliver the door period. When I asked to speak to the owner about the situation, they laughed and said he was in the penitentiary. They wouldn't tell me why he was serving time so I conducted my own criminal background check on the owner, just to see if they were lying to me about it. So by background check revealed the that the owner is in fact, serving time and he won't be released until he's about 100 years old. So my recommendation is to conduct a background check on the owner before you do business with JDT

An email invoice with no info other than it was for "Emi" (I guess the phonetic spelling of my name) & the full cost-no itemization or even company contact info. When my husband came home he noticed the new motor was basically the Cadillac of garage door motors-it has wi-fi, Bluetooth, an app for your phone, it's amazing. But why on earth would we pay for something that's an extensive upgrade? The whole thing was shady, from the fact they now have Roberts phone number to the fact that when I called tonight to complain, "Oscar" told me he had NO RECORD OF ME in their system. I told him I literally spoke to him the day before but he said he'd have to escalate to his "management" to see if my info can be found anywhere else. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Very sad they are riding Roberts coattails and I'm very sorry I let this happen.
