My garage door opener broke before 4th of July and Brian scheduled his tech to come on the 4th to make repairs. My appointment was scheduled between 9 to 12. I called at noon because no one had shown yet. I was told service truck had broke down and they weren't going to make. I wished someone had called before I had to call them. Brian also told me he didn't when he could get to me because he had to get truck fixed. Very unreliable and unprofessional for not calling. Edited 7:00 pm 7/5/25 I'll correct myself. Worst customer service! After having my garage repaired, several screws and abs debris were left behind. My 2 year old ended up with 2 screws in his mouth and my husband and I ended up with 2 more in our tires. When I mentioned this to a representative age downplayed the scenario and said "yeah, some things get left behind". I emphasized that my son had screws in his mouth, her response "I have kids and they put lots of things in their mouths". Extremely insensitive and rude. read more

This company installed a new garage door opener at my home. The inept service technician attached the track running from the opener to the wall into the drywall instead of a wall stud. As a result the bracket broke lose, the screws popped out and the whole unit slid down and rested on the horizontal spring. I again called my home warranty company figuring this was all covered and that they would redispatch Heritage. My warranty company said it wasn't covered and was outside the scope of my original claim. That left me with one choice--find a repair company on my own dime. I did. I called on Sunday and they were ready and able to come out the next day. The guy fixed the problem by installing a new bracket and screws into the wall support beam. He explained that the track was all part of the new garage door opener kit and that the track was improperly installed directly into the drywall instead of the stud like it should have been. I got a new bracket, screws an a slightly elevated track. This guy adjusted the opener for the height change. I contacted Heritage figuring they would do the right thing and reimburse me for the cost of the repair to fix their improper installation. They turned me down flat. They said they warranty their work and I should have called them directly. They refuse to reimburse. Now I didn't call them directly because the home warranty company said it was a totally separate issue. All I've got to say is that I tossed Heritages business card and removed their information from my phone. Do not use this company. Ok so I used this company earlier to help fix the weather stripping replacement on the bottom of the garage door. The actual owner of the business was very thorough and really knowledgeable. I then used them to replace my garage door opener. I noticed they were 2 younger gentlemen who were able to install it. I was concerned at first but it looked professionally installed and it worked fine. 2 years later it is still working. The issue is I just had one of the pulley wired snapped and the garage door was stuck and off kilter.the door opener had a warning/error and had to be reset/recalibrated. I called Heritage and was towards the end of the day on Friday. Someone answered and promised to be at my door on Sunday between 8-10am. I was even surprised he said he would be there. Well Sunday comes but no one from Heritage calls to let me know he/she will be on the way. I tried calling their number but no answer. So I called someone else. Just moved here from California to Surprise. Prior to purchasing our home, there was a property inspection. The inspector failed the garage door for safety issues. Have used them a couple times for a rental property. Brian is very honest. This most recent time my tenant wanted a new garage door and she made that very clear to him. After Brian took a look at my garage door and tested it he let me know that all he would suggest is servicing it and in his opinion didn't need to be replaced at this time. Doing service work versus replacing the garage door is drastically cheaper. It would have been very easy for him to just agree with my tenant and say that I need to replace the garage door.
