What a delight, dealing with Door Pros Garage Door Company! They were one of four companies that bid on fixing our double-wide garage door. Everyone I spoke with at Door Pros was utterly polite and great to talk to. The repairs were professionally made and operation of the new door was fully explained. The experienced installer who came to bid the work was Gabe Samuels. He *absolutely* knew the business! He offered excellent options, clearly indicated the problems, and was very helpful overall. Since they were the last bidder, I was able to let them know I wanted to use them. Like he was putting on his Superman costume, Gabe transformed himself from the bidder to a long-time and fast installer. In the Door Pros truck, he carried everything needed. In just a few short hours my door was fully operational. I loved it! (Oh, plus the new door works with an app on my iPhone. Sweet!) Let me draw a contrast, to help show how great it was to deal with such mature people as those at Door Pros. Door Pros' bid was a little higher than the lowest bid (which was $600). However, for that higher amount they included a considerably better motor (the Liftmaster 8550W instead of the Liftmaster 8075). I called the competitor to thank them, and to let them know that I had chosen another provider. When asked the other bid, I indicated the amount of the winning bid. In response, the man - who is the owner of that company - said, "What?! You mean if I had bid $1000 you would have chosen me?" (Door Pros' bid was just over $700, so I'm not sure where he got the $1000 figure.) That man said it with a tone and with word choices that did double duty. They demeaned me as unable to make a wise choice, and that I must have simply decided, "The more expensive bid must be better." His words and manner also carried criticism of the winning bidder by implying that their bid was outrageous and high. Even if these allegations had been true (they weren't), I asked myself if that is the maturity level of people I want to do work with. So again, by contrast, there was none of that with Door Pros. When I shared the low bidder's bid, they were willing to lower their bid to be in line with it, while still offering better hardware and a better experience. This is THE only choice for garage door work! We have used Door Pros two times, and they have provided outstanding service both times. We first needed new garage door openers, and Justin came to our house promptly after our first contact (and on time), and explained all the options. Shortly after we agreed to the two new openers, installer Dwight arrived and did a terrific job with the installation. He was most patient with us when explaining all the features of the openers. Two years later, we needed to replace both of our garage doors. We called Justin again, and he arrived as promised and on time, and walked us through the options for replacement doors. (Sadly, the manufacturer of the original doors no longer made the panels, so total door replacement was our only option.) Justin worked with me over a couple of days, as we navigated the requirements of our HOA rules, and he went above and beyond to get us the doors we needed and the soonest possible installation date. Justin was very fast on coming out and measuring our garage to get the right door. Came out the same day we called.The next day which is today we had our garage door installed by Joe. Abe and Joe did the install and those guys were awesome! We had 3 single garage doors with openers and hardware to install which took the entire day into the evening. The only minor hiccup was that they needed to come back to install the hardware and someone was suppose to let us know when that would occur and we did not hear from them. The Spring on my garage door snapped with a loud bang. I called Door Pros late in the afternoon and Gabe came out the next morning. Even though my garage door was bent and needed to be replaced he stabilized the door with struts which worked great. He Replaced the spring and fixed other parts of the vertical rails which totally resolved all the creaking and cranking sounds whenever the door opens or closes. Garage door spring broke late on Friday night after only two months. When i contacted the installer he blew me off. Saturday morning i contacted home depot and they told me about door pros. I asked them to go ahead and schedule me and i heard from door pros that afternoon. We scheduled an appointment monday morning between 7:30 and 8. Purchased a Clopay door through Home Depot which contracted with Door Pros Garage Door Company for the removal and haul-away of the old door and installation of the new door. Door Pros contacted me on Sunday, March 11, 2018 to advise that the door had arrived and to set-up an appointment for installation. Just kidding, I told the owner of Door Pros I would like it to be installed on Monday, March 12th never expecting the company to be able to accommodate such a request. I was pleasantly surprised when he said he had an opening for the date requested and we concluded the setting of the appointment for between 9:00-11:00 am. Monday March 12th at about 9:15 received a call from Dwight, the installer, advising he was approximately 15 minutes away from our home. On arrival, Dwight set about removing the old door and setting up the new one for installation. He was extremely professional; worked quickly to attach the new hardware and position the new panels; and overall did a superb job, making sure all aspects of the installation was correct. He clean up the packaging and debris as he went through the installation process and left the work area spotless when he was finished. Great job, Dwight! Had used Door Pros for work on the old door in the past and highly recommend their services. Will not hesitate to call upon this company for future servicing of the door to ensure it is well cared for. Yesterday our garage door opener would not open for my wife while I was at a Drs Appt. Fortunately she did not have to leave immediately. When I got home I opened the door manually determining that the chain had fallen off of the spocket. Long story short I called Door Pros and was told there would be a technician there between 12-2:00. Matt called me and said he would be there at 12:30 which he was. He did his diagnosis and offered me two solutions. My opener was 16 years old so I chose to replace the whole unit. Now, I will get to why I am posting this review. We thought we might need a replacement, turns out after they inspected it we needed a new hinge and one of the bolts replaced, a much lower cost than we expected. The repair guy oiled the whole door - he did get oil on the door and the driveway, other than that we were very happy with the repair. Update: A few weeks after getting our door serviced, I was in a hurry and BACKED MY SUV INTO OUR NEWLY SERVICED GARAGE DOOR. Worst customer service after purchase. I have called this company 5x over past 3 weeks with repeated "we will call you back" responses. No call backs at all.
