My LiftMaster garage door was giving me a message error of forced opening. It would open about 8 inches and stop. Lights were blinking and an error code would be displayed on the panel, it would do this occasionally and sporadically. Aaron, owner of A.S.A.P Garage Door Repair saw my post and called me. Aaron stated "it was the weather stripping that was causing the problem" (I had pictures in my post). Aaron said he could fix it for me with new weather stripping. He sent Tom out with new white weather stripping. Tom took off the old weather stripping and installed the new weather stripping today at a very reasonable cost. A.S.A.P. I'll called the company because I couldn't find any information about replacing the light, it turns out the garage door opener I bought has been discontinued and I believe I know why. you cannot replace the light yourself, (as with every other garage door opener I've ever seen) you have to have someone from the company come out to replace the light and it costs $200.!!! I've never experienced anything like this before and can't say how disappointing it is to have this kind of issue. Very disappointing.
