He took a look at my garage door, explained what needed to be done, offered me options, explained each one in detail, and gave me a range of prices to choose from. After I green-lighted the project, we scheduled the installation for the next Wednesday. I got lucky someone else canceled their appointment and Rich offered me the slot to do the installation the very same day. Three professionals showed up and in a couple of hours I got my brand new garage door, a new quiet opener, and a cleaned up garage. Honest priced, sharp professionals and clean work. They told us they had a higher quote then perhaps other companies that might give us a cheaper (and not as well made) product, but that their service included new tracks, new springs, etc, and not just the door. We found that their pricing was completely reasonable for this all-inclusive service, and wanted the better product. They completed their work in under 3 hours, and the new garage door looks great. While we only got a basic model, it's still 3 times better then the door that was on our house to begin with, and I feel confident it was installed expertly. I never post reviewed but this time I am taking time to sign up and post to a well deserved review on Next Door Inc. Truly a remarkable service experience I have seen for a long time. Originally I had ordered my garage doors through Coleman Home Solutions who sat on order for 7+ weeks and then refunded. It wasted a lot of critical time and caused my move-in date delay. Then I came across Next Door through internet search. Paul(The owner) came out the second day to give me a written estimate and brought the samples. He was very professional. Educated me in the process and set my expectations right for a special order door. He also promised to expedite the installation once the door arrives. During ordering, drawing validations he was very clear and prompt on the communication. To my surprise the door came in a few days before target date. Him and his guy did the install in a few hours. Educated me on how to program/operate and setup all remotes and keypad for me. After a few days I found some errors on the opener panel. He personally came out and replaced all photo eye sensors and wires. However the issue came back again. While the opener was still functioning fine, there was an error report. I thought it was just a cosmetic issue since the door did not have any opening/closing issues. Even though I wasn't worried, it didn't satisfy him. He did more research and reached out to the Lift Master on why it was happening. Finally Liftmaster agreed that there was a known glitch that caused openers to report this error under cold weather. He ordered replacement control boards and came out again to replace them. It's all operating excellent. He went above and beyond what other vendors do. I am sure he lost a lot of his profits because it's 1+ hr. drive each way for him to come out from Elgin to Naperville. However he cared for the customer satisfaction over the margins. He truly stays behind what he sells/installs. I would hire him in again on any future needs without thinking twice about it. For your needs hire him with with a confidence. At 7:00 am I got a call from my tenant who decided to back out of the garage before the door was completely up. Yep, you guessed it, a real mess. After seeing the damage I called Next Door Inc. in the hopes that they could repair it. That afternoon when I got to the unit Paul had already done 80% of the work. I was stunned. Here I thought that the door would need replacing but he said, "you got lucky" the repair was nominal. Absolutely fantastic service!!! From my initial phone call, scheduling a late in the day, to having the right parts on the truck and even adding a keypad last minute these guys are good. Before calling them I looked up the replacement parts at the local big box store, I figured I'd get an estimate. it was within 35 bucks. If you want great service, you need to call Next Door. They fixed my garage door that would not open, and also did many other adjustments to make it last longer. It is a big box garage door opener that we installed ourselves many years ago, but Next Door did not push a new system on to us.
