I was scheduled for 8:00 am but Bill showed up at 7:00 am. He rang my doorbell and didn't introduce himself or say hello. I told him I'd move my car out of the garage (I would have done this but he was an hour early) and all he said was yes, please. I called the business to verify he was who he said he was because he was early and didn't seem very professional when we first met. Most installers will introduce themselves and be on time. The office called back and verified him. He completed the install on time but did not move items in the garage back to where he moved them from. I also had to initiate shaking his hand. I called to pay using my credit card and was surprised that I wasn't asked how I liked the door and service. I wasn't thanked one time. It was almost like I was inconveniencing him. My garage door is up but I am not pleased with the customer service. I was looking forward to a pleasant experience based on the Yelp reviews but received the opposite. Very pleased with their service. We had some damage to our door after a family member drove into our garage door. We called the original installer and they came out and got the door to close, but their service ended their. Because of the damage to the door, the garage opener wasn't lifting the door, so we called Doors by Russ. From the initial phone call, to the visit to give an estimate, to the installation, they were on time and true to their word. In fact, we replace the garage opener after learning it wasn't efficient for our door. We've had small problems with the old one for years--you could hear it was being taxed opening the garage door. The new one installed by Doors by Russ is so quiet I often turn around to check that the door actually closed. And, I will also add that everyone we talked to was very polite. They made us feel like they appreciated our business. If you want to job done right, and no surprises, go with Doors by Russ. read more

I had one of the springs break on our garage door and called Doors By Russ. The technician, Dominic, called ahead of the appointment time and arrived shortly thereafter. The man exemplifies "passion and knowledge" when it comes to delivering a quality service - not only did he replace the broken spring, but in fact the pair of springs so that a repeat visit for spring #2 could be avoided. Additionally, he replaced both with springs that will last longer (based on spring geometry that he explained in a way that truly demonstrated his knowledge of the subject) and did the whole job with a kind smile and willing demeanor. I wish everyone that I called for service did the job as well as these guys! Great work and a fair price. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Please don't bother with this company, they call you to make an appointment and then dont show up, I am self employed and took 4 hour of my time waiting at home and no one showed up and when I called the company they have no idea why there was no appointment setup for me. Technician/Installer "Shaun" gave me a thorough and knowledgeable estimate of replacing my overhead garage door. He even called me back on a Sunday to answer my questions. Installation went well: on time, complete cleanup and haul away of old door. New door and motor looks and functions so much better than original. They also covered my battered garage door opening trim with new plastic trim that matches the garage door and creates a weatherproof seal. Cost was resonable! read more

Great job! Doors by Russ installed my Liftmaster garage door opener 11 years ago and it is still working fine. My garage door spring broke over the weekend so I checked them out on Yelp, saw they were still highly rated and called for repair this morning. I was told that all crews were out but they would get someone out later in the day if possible. J. Ross arrived around noontime, quickly replaced the spring, lubed my door and got it sounding better than it has in years.
