I just loved the vibe here. There are two levels. The upper level has a rooftop that was really fun. They had a full bar on each level with frozen slushy drinks the beers were great. Too. The best part was the art. They are known as the "Museum of Bad Art" which I have seen on Facebook before. Haha. They have an attached BBQ restaurant. I wish I could say that was a great experience but the brewery closes at 10 and the BBQ place at 8. Which wasn't clear online. So when we arrived and went to order, they were out of most things. Like fries and Mac and cheese. But you also couldn't substitute these items and they couldn't adjust the price. We also only have 5 minutes to order. Since we were starving we ended up gulping down our beers and going back to the hotel for dinner. Definitely a disappointment. Just keep that in mind when you come. This is a cute spot and a good choice to meet up with a group or have an event. I was there for an event and there were finger foods for food that were decent. The drinks were delicious. I'm not a huge beer drinker but they had some nice mixed drinks/frozen drinks. The service was good. I really enjoyed the great beer here as well as the fully whimsical Museum of Bad Art. It was a great time to peruse the artworks with a beer in hand and end the self-guided tour with some of their fun games, such as Skee-Ball. While we did not order food here, what I saw was really great looking, and they have a nice display of merch. While we were there, they were doing a DOGtober fest, so we were able to observe a few adorable pooches. That was a nice addition to our visit. Never had a worse service experience in my life. The bar tender was simply rude and recalcitrant and entirely unqccoodating to children. They refused to take a reservation over the phone and never informed us that the entire too floor of the restaurant was booked for a private event, and told me kids could just eat standing up, even though over three quarters of the seats upstairs were vacant. Will never frequent this place again and would encourage anyone with children to avoid it entirely. read more

Any cup that isn't plastic apparently has a $50 deposit. We returned everything of course but wasn't told when we returned it to the bar that we have to mention our tab. At the end, seeing as I covered all our drinks I initially didn't scoff at the cost assuming Boston drink prices but then checking with everyone and seeing the receipt, had to ask for a refund. The bartender (white guy short hair) didn't tell us when we initially ordered about this and was very rude and snarky in trying to get a refund. Aside from that the cocktails are extremely weak and the vibes are ruined by the sleazy bartender. read more

Such an awesome upstairs area with plenty of sunlight! The flights are great and I love that you can buy solo 5oz glasses of most drinks. Service was super friendly but very hands off. Street parking only, but there are plenty of spots right along the street and it's free! Sweet potato fries came out freshly fried and are sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, weird but couldn't stop eating them Ribs and pulled pork were well cooked and the best part of our meal. Make sure to get extra bbq sauce! The sides were only okay, mac n cheese was dry and cole slaw was plain, but the CORNBREAD! Definitely go for the cornbread. There is so much to love about this place. The beer is stellar. They have seltzer slushies. There is a Pirate sign on the closet door, a la It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. There is an amazing Rooftop Patio, with both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a perma taco truck on site. Everyone that works here is fun and nice. Steve and I recently enjoyed the Hudson Gold from this brewery. This beer is a blonde/golden ale according to Untappd and that description fits the beer quite nicely. It's well balanced, crisp and has a bready flavor that is very pleasant to indicate. It's also a beer where it would not be difficult to have more than one of. It's easy going and pleasant to drink. Dog friendly... and just friendly in general! Hello, I created an account to leave this review. I brought two golden retrievers to Dorchester brewing and they made sure to accommodate on their front balcony to make sure that we had a space to sit with our dogs despite not having outside seating and their existing outdoor seating being painted that day. I was worried we would have to find a new brewery and call an audible, but despite both major setbacks the brewery brought ought enough seating to accommodate our whole party and then some. Seriously A+ service and I could tell the staff was genuinely happy to help out. They made my wife's birthday so special and save my bacon! Joy and Brandon were the only two names I got, but the whole team did a great job. Also... the beer was good too! They had an incredible variety for all pallets. I cannot recommend this place enough. Came here on a nice early afternoon to finally give this place a try and was pleasantly surprised to find plenty of variety in this nifty little taproom, as well as all the lovely works of bad art throughout the building. Great atmosphere, as well as a cute selection of classic board games over in the corner. Now, when it comes to the drinks... The Fruity Flight had a nice color palette that was pretty aesthetically pleasing, but also very refreshing if you're into sours. As for the Roasty Toasty Flight, I would recommend it if you're into stouts, darker beers, and earthy flavors - especially the Snowbird since it felt more on the herbal side with all its spices. As an honorable mention, I'd also recommend the Beantown as it has a very full and filling mouthfeel to it, with how rich and sweet it was. Definitely had a lovely experience at this taproom. A small bachelor party, four of us, came here on a cloudy, drizzly Thursday afternoon while creating our own bar crawl for the groom-to-be, and we had a good time here! Upon walking in, everyone was wearing masks and the hostess checked our IDs and then explained how to go about ordering food and drinks. We took the QR-code postcard and walked upstairs and grabbed a long table. We walked outside for a few minutes on their balcony/patio and soaked in the sights of downtown Boston but eventually went back inside as it was starting to rain and the wind picked up quite a bit. Inside the brewery it's pretty big and very clean. They had music playing but it was the perfect volume so you wouldn't have to shout to talk to someone across the table from you. We each grabbed a cup of water, which was self-serve, and browsed their selection. I ended up getting their "German Flight of 5": Festbier (lager), Dunkel (German dark lager), Kolsch (German ale), Pilsner (German pilsner), and Altbier (German amber ale). The glasses the flight was served in was good sized and the beers were tasty! I could see myself ordering another Festbier and relaxing on the patio on a sunny Summer day. Overall, we liked it here! The brewery was clean and spacious with plenty of seating. If I lived in/around the Boston-area, I'd definitely be willing to come back for a happy hour or get together with some friends. read more

The food was mediocre. We ate dinner there last night and the drinks were pretty good. But the food was not great. The brisket sandwich was the best thing we are. The bbq chicken was ok. The Mac and cheese was mid. The collards were terrible. The service was nonexistent. They add an 18% tip for someone to drop takeout on your table. No drink orders taken. You have to go to the bar to get drinks. It was windy on the roof. So all of the takeout containers blew away. But the sunset was nice. And the weather was perfect. And our favorite part was the bad art museum throughout the restaurant. Not to be missed. Just grab a beer and look at the art. That's my recommendation. read more

The brewery has been around for sometime but the roof deck is 2 or 3 years old. We have driven by here all the time, you can tell alot of people go here because the street patio is typically packed on a nice summer day and pedestrians stop traffic to cross the street. Parking is street parking only, the parking lot next to them is for a trade association and sounds like they will tow you. Its a nicely kept parking lot, I'm sure they want to keep the rif raf out. I'm not a huge beer drinker but I will enjoy myself a non-hoppy beer and they have many to choose from. The flights are very flexible and great if you've never tried their beers. I'd suggest staying away from their hard seltzer and cider and stick with beer here. It was nice they have bbq food so you can eat and drink, I've noticed they had a food truck stop by in the front which also helps with food options. My flight choice wasn't the most successful but other members of my party enjoyed their beers so maybe I just chose poorly. We came on a rainy day so we didn't get to enjoy the roof deck but if it wasn't so nasty out, idk if we would have been able to get a spot up on the roof. I'll definitely give it another spot. The place is fine. It claims to be family friendly and that was our initial experience at first when we came for lunch on a fairly empty Saturday afternoon. We sat outside because we brought our dogs so I can't comment on the ambiance but I appreciated the Pride celebration decor. However, as we were leaving, a large party of people who appeared intoxicated came in and one of the women called my 9 year old an a**hole. I confronted the woman and her husband threatened to hit my husband. The bartender helped to diffuse the situation. However, she deferred to the larger party because she was going to make more money from them than us. My friend suggested this brewery for a casual Friday night, and I am so glad to have come! This space is enormous, with LOTS of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. It wasn't too busy for a Friday night, though the second floor seating was filled, so we sat on the first floor. There were two bars to get drinks from, one on each floor, and it was super quick service! There is also some fun arcade games indoors! We tried the Fruity Flight, which came with 4 options and the Brazillionaire. The drinks were fun, with unique flavorings, both drinks we ordered were on the more sour side. We also tried the BBQ food that can be found right next to the first floor bar, which had lots of food options. The giant pretzel wasn't fantastic and felt like it was just heated up from the freezer; however, everything else we tried was wonderful. The dumpster fries are a must! They were seasoned wonderfully, and topped with pulled pork (the meat of our choice), making it the perfect snack with our drinks. Our friends also had their pulled pork sandwich, which they loved; and the caesar salad (nothing special). Wife and I had a gift card to use, so we made our way to Dorchester Brewing. We're on the north side of Boston, so it took us a while with traffic. Then when we got there, it took us a while to find parking as it's street parking only. So finally we're ready to enjoy some beverages and they tell us they won't accept our gift card. Their name is on the gift card (see photo), but they said it's a mistake and their name shouldn't be on the gift card. In my mind, this is their error, they should have honored the card, but this was an argument I was not going to win. So we canceled our order, left, and won't ever go back. read more

My friend was able to make a reservation so when we arrived we had a table waiting for us. The bartenders were friendly and helpful in answering all our questions and the food we ordered was delicious and easy to order (from our phone) as well! We really enjoyed their in house beers but also loved having the opportunity to try some other great local beers they had on tap as well! This place is a must do for several reasons. First, the beer selection is off the chart. You can find almost anything you are looking for. Second is the food. The sandwich's are even better than as they are described on the menu. Don't miss out on the sides. The greens are home made with lots of love and the Mac & cheese will not disappoint. Last but not least you can stroll around the brewery and enjoy the Museum of Bad Art. The works are just what the museum is named.
