    The cheese Bar Pizza

Made a visit last week during the day just after they opened. I was greeted immediately sitting at the bar and was given the food and drink menu. Was brought water without even asking. I got two beers: A lager and an IPA. Both were great. I ordered their version of a South Shore Bar Pizza. Not bad. A little heavy, but tasted good. I also ordered beer to go at the other counter which a super quick and easy process. I've been drinking Trillium for years and this was the first time I sat and had a meal at this particular location. Clean, plenty of room, friendly staff at all ends.

Food was good. Beer was great. I love the Irish stout and the chocolate churro was great when you've got friends to share with. And the space/feel of the place is great

We love stopping by Trillium for a beer and some munchies. We usually have our dog with us and he's allowed too--on the patio of course. The patio is first come, first serve. It's easier if you go inside and order your drinks at the bar vs. waiting for someone to wait on you outside. We love their beer! The food is decent too. This past weekend, we ordered the chicken wings and the carrots. Both were tasty but not my favorite. Next time I will try something else. We also stop by often to pick up beers from the counter in the back. Service is always fast and friendly. They always offer me a box to carry it home. If you're interested in eating inside, better make a rez cause this place can get very busy!

We were visiting Boston and I had a huge craving for a soft pretzel with beer cheese dip. The parking situation is really hard. We had to park in a lot a few blocks away for $25. We were seated right away and we ordered a pretzel, butternut Mac and cheese and ribs. The pretzel was everything I wanted and more. The ribs were pretty good and the butternut Mac and cheese wasn't really good. Overall a fun, good place to eat and drink

Came here for trivia with a larger group and had a great time. We were able to make a reservation for table which made it really easy. Trivia is run by Geeks Who Drink, I like their format and the trivia master was a chill guy. I didn't get any drinks but the food was good overall. We got the butternut squash papusa, brussel sprouts, jerk rib, and short rib ragu. The jerk rib was probably my favorite. We also got a skillet brownie desert that was very good and they were nice enough to serve with extra ice cream that I requested (leading to the perfect brownie to ice cream ratio). Good overall, nothing particularly making this place stand out but a solid choice for food, drink, and trivia.

East Coast Hazy- quite good! On front patio, nicely sheltered from wind but still open air.

Loud and meant for groups, but the food is far above pub fare and the beer is excellent too!

Trillium seems big on hoppier beers and stouts. I enjoyed their Weise, but it was so tart, I don't think I would have been able to drink a full pour. I enjoyed the white bean chili, but I wish it had a bit more of a kick. The grilled cheese was really good, I would say the tomato soup was just okay. Our waitress was great and everything came out pretty quick too.

**Opened on the 4th of July 2025** Food: Lots of food options to choose from. We chose the calamari to share. It was lightly battered, crispy and delicious! I loved that they had some veggies fried in there as well. Ambiance: Gorgeous rooftop deck with a separate bar for patrons. The seating inside the restaurant on the first floor was full (not surprised for the 4th of July). Service: Open bar- order at the bar. The food will be delivered to your table.

Great outdoor brewery perfectly placed with a fabulous view of the harbor through the arch at the grand Boston Harbor Hotel. Despite a line we were served quickly and with a friendly chat as well! Plenty of seating or friendship style standing tables and when we were there there was also a New Orleans themed food truck. There were quite a few delicious IPAS on tap and plenty of others if they aren't your thing. One we ordered kicked as he was filling our cup so the treat was we ended up being able to try THREE! Well done, Trillium!

Stopped here on a nice sunny day and decided to sit up in the rooftop. Heads up, majority of is is uncovered, so if you are susceptible to sunburn or don't like the direct sun on you, plan accordingly. I was surprised it wasn't busier, as several other places around the city were slammed on this afternoon. We were able to get a seat up there without waiting. I had the triple berry beer, which (as expected) was quite sweet, but actually very refreshing on a day like that. I wouldn't drink multiple of those in a sitting, though. We also ordered the calamari, which was tasty and a nice portion size. The bartender was a bit rude, which caught me off guard, but maybe just a bad day. I'd come back here for a drink if in the area.

Hot pastrami sandwich with cherry peppers, Russian dressing, and munster cheese on a demi baguette

I stopped by Trillium - Fort Point on a Saturday afternoon this past Summer to meet up with some friends. On a weekend, the place was packed with people of all ages. I was surprised by the number of families with full strollers and toddlers running around the inside tap room and outdoor patio. We put our name on a waiting list for a table for three and grabbed drinks in the meantime at the bar. Trillium has a great selection of sour beers, my favorite. I got the Habitat: 2024 Blend #2, which had a tart blueberry and raspberry flavor. What I didn't realize was it was a 500 mL bottle, so quite a bit more than your average pint glass. Tasty nonetheless. For food, I ordered the hot pastrami sandwich with cherry peppers, Russian dressing, and munster cheese on a demi baguette. For the price, it was a good sized portion and they went heavy on the Munster cheese. The sweet cherry peppers mixed well with the savory pastrami and Russian dressing. It came with crispy fries as well. Overall Trillium - Fort Point had a nice atmosphere and during the summer, plenty of outdoor space to relax and enjoy all they have to offer. I am looking forward to going back.

Came in here for a brew before leaving with some coworkers after dinner. It was very lively, we wanted to go upstairs and check out the terrace, but it was closed for a private event. - bummer. The staff mentioned they have live music there and it fills up quickly on the terrace, and recommended getting there earlier on a regular night, even as early as six or seven. There were barely any tables, only the standing room tables were open. I tried a sour, I can't remember the name, but it was fruity and delicious, I believe it was Apple. They have cute merch, and the place is warm and inviting, I wish they would have stayed open a bit later but it was a weeknight I suppose. Would definitely come back for a drink with some friends, hopefully next time the rooftop will be open

Old fashioned and their freezer door old fashioned

Tetreault for one of their mixers in thier cocktails did not taste the way it is described. We expected more spice like the cinnamon and nutmeg and instead this drink served like an old fashioned was way more tart. Tasted like a super lemon old fashioned. The regular old fashioned and their homestead bourbon was excellent!!! Yum! The outdoor area is nice but keep in mind the outdoor area IS the front entrance. We made the mistake of walking all the way to the other side thinking this was the back because it was all blocked off. A sign to say " this is the entrance" would have been nice so we would not have dragged our luggage there. Drink choice are interesting. Didn't try the food. Upstairs was closed off which was disappointing. I would have liked to buy a drink downstairs and take it upstairs.

Ask the Community - Trillium Brewing - Fort Point

Is there a heated outdoor patio?

Not the last time I was there, but that may have change in the past few weeks as the weather has gotten colder

    Are there TVs?

    None that I saw.

    Is it dog friendly?

As much as we'd love to see your dogs at Fort Point, we cannot allow animals of any kind inside or outdoors, aside from trained service animals. This decision is out of our hands, due to a variety of licensing, zoning, and safety regulations. Thanks… Read more

How is the parking situation at Trillium?

Not great. I don't believe they have any on-site parking, so it's street only, which in that area can take some circling. We usually find some, it just takes a little searching and can be a walk.

Do they only sell beer in the restaurant, no wine or cocktails?

While most of our taps are dedicated to our beers, we usually have at least one wine and hard seltzer option available!

What does 'no samping/full pours' mean? Does that mean they have taster flights or that you cannot get anything outside of cans?

New location now is a brewpub that serves full pours and food. To-go beer as well.

The place has a really fun vibe -- coffee shop in the morning and brewery in the evening. The hostess was super friendly and got us seated in a nice dry spot in the back where we could admire all the brewing equipment. Live music started while we were there, adding more energy to the atmosphere. There's also an upstairs area that looked like a great place to hang out. The food looked fantastic, and my wife was especially excited to see they had a gluten-free dessert option. They offered a huge variety of freshly brewed beers -- IPAs, pilsners, sours -- something for everyone. They also had several non-alcoholic options, which was nice to see. I enjoyed a few half beers along with an order of guacamole, and my wife had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was delicious. The service was great, the beer was cold and fresh, and the atmosphere made it such a fun place to relax for a while. Definitely a great spot to grab a few drinks and hang out!

The way these people handled the large crowd when they weren't expecting much of one for 3 hours was amazing. The brewery has 2 floors with multiple bars with taps and they were running full speed ahead. We found a couple of seats upstairs and I walked up to one of the bars and ordered a few 4-5 oz pours. Their hazies were really good especially Runner's High and Cloud Candy. While we were sitting there, we ordered a few apps; a hummus plate and some hot honey Brussel sprouts. They both came out fast and were tasty. The beer and food were both good, but the service was even better. The Mighty Squirrel is a well oiled machine.

On our bartender's suggestion, we ordered the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza and it absolutely delivered. The crust was perfectly balanced -- crisp and firm on the outside while remaining soft and airy in the center, exactly how great pizza should be served. The sauce had excellent flavor, and the combination of pepperoni and hot honey created the perfect balance of savory, sweet, and heat without overpowering the pie itself. My wife sampled a flight of four locally available beers and really enjoyed the opportunity to try selections that are difficult to find outside the Boston area. I jokingly told her not to become too attached to them since we wouldn't be bringing them home with us. The atmosphere inside the Tap Room was lively, modern, and unmistakably Boston, with plenty of Samuel Adams history woven throughout the space without feeling overly commercialized. Really enjoyed seeing the pride flag at the bar-- felt like a safe space for all. The Cambridge location is busy around the time we went, which was around noon on a Saturday. There is lots of seating in the front but also in the back which is a little more quiet. The setup is a little confusing for ordering though. There's one big line for food and coffee, but you don't need to wait in that line to order beers. I wish we knew that because we didn't see any signage to indicate where to order what. We also saw a lot of people sitting at the bar eating and drinking coffee, so it took a little bit to find a spot at the bar just to have a drink. I think the bar should be reserved for those looking to have a beer. A positive though is that the beer tasty-- light and refreshing. I thought some of the flavors were really creative. For example, I tried the Chrysalis which I believe had notes of jasmine and honey. Overall would definitely come here again and try their food and coffee next time!

I will say that they lose points (in my books) just based on my personal preferences. First off, being a brewery, expect there to be a STRONG smell of beer. Even though I wasn't in there for long, I could still find myself getting a headache and not enjoying the strong smell. I'll also say that the service I received the morning I went wasn't the best, and the man who made my drink definitely did not want to be there. As I've mentioned in other reviews I've done, I rate places HEAVILY based on service and kindness. Overall, the coffee was decent, but there are better places to go on Waltham that I would rather go to instead.
