I also buy my meat and fish there because everything always looks fresh and the quality has been great. The produce I've picked up has always been fresh too. The package was clearly marked as Boar's Head Honey Maple Glazed Turkey, and I purchased it specifically because I eat turkey. When I got home and opened the package, it was obvious the product inside was ham, not turkey. This isn't a minor inconvenience. Some customers have dietary restrictions, allergies, religious reasons, or personal preferences that make accurate labeling extremely important. In my case, I haven't eaten ham in over 30 years, so discovering the mistake after getting home was frustrating and unacceptable. Everyone makes mistakes, but having the exact same issue happen twice raises concerns about quality control and attention to detail at the deli counter. I expect products to be labeled correctly, especially when customers are paying premium prices for Boar's Head deli meats. I hope management reviews their deli procedures to ensure customers receive what they're actually purchasing.

I tried to get organic avocados and most of the bags had bad avocados. The produce department seems to be having issues either with management or very unreliable vendors. I try and avoid this store whenever possible. A few days ago I purchased a bag of sweet potatoes because they were out of single sweet potatoes and 3 of the potatoes were mold. All of the cashiers barely speak english so the communication is poor…read more On multiple occasions I've witnessed most of the cashiers unable to do simple math by either giving back incorrect change or not being able to correctly do the math without technology. Hispanic or Latino customers have special privileges, they are allowed to hold a space with a basket or carriage while continuing to shop. Personal belongings (bags,etc) are supposed to be left at the entrance, but again if you are latino or hispanic this does not apply to you. The store layout is dangerous. There's very little room to move around the store. Their customer service is a joke!!!! The community puts up with it because it's close and since Stop & Shop Southbay prices increased you're forced to deal. I would welcome any challengers to come compete for my business, because Brother's is not worthy.
