Excellent service. I had to take my dog to the Hospital for Vet Surgery this morning. Joanna was early, despite the snow falling fast and furious. We made it in plenty of time. She was very kind and even tried to calm my beagle down since he was just as nervous as I was. She offered to take us back home free of charge, but we had to wait to talk to the surgeon. Pet Cab has been amazing. If you need transport for your pet - this is the company to call! Pricing was super reasonable from Brooklyn to Newark airport. Jo, the owner, has been extremely responsive via Yelp message to book all the transport. Pet Cab arrived exactly on time. They use bright yellow Fiats which was a comfortable ride. We even had Penny, a very calm Shih Tzu, join us. I will use Pet Cab anytime I need transport for my dog Jeffrey. But FYI - make sure to book ahead if it's a busy time like the holidays! read more

NYC Three weeks before my trip to NYC with my 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks and 5 suitcases, I contacted Pet Cab NYC for a ride from JFK to the city in the morning and then another ride from the city to Newark at night. They were quick to confirm and to send me a link for prepayment of their services. I was looking for their advertised "white glove service" for our transfers. What did we get? An Uber and a cancellation provided by the most incompetent and clueless "company" I've ever dealt with. When we arrived early morning at JFK, Pet Cab NYC didn't inform us our ride details, so I called and message them to find out the details. After a slight delay, I was informed that a white van was waiting for us on terminal B. No driver's name or cell phone number, so we had to chase the white van that was on the other side of the terminal at the Uber pick up area. Long story short, Pet Can NY had simply hired an Uber to pick us up, when we agreed and paid for a private transfer for us and our dogs in one of the company's cars. When I let them know that the experience was disappointing, they immediately said that the second ride would be cancelled. They were caught on their scams and got defensive. Afterwards they said that they would send me the car information for the evening transfer and they would pick me up at 9pm as requested. I didn't receive any more communication from the company, and 30 minutes before pickup time, I got a call from the owner of the company, a delusional woman that told me that she was driving a Fiat and offered me to take my dogs to the airport but I would have to get another ride for me and my luggage and ride separately to the airport. When I refused her insane offer, she hang up on me refusing a full refund for their pathetic attempt to provide a service that they were obviously not qualified for. They agreed with my request, asked for a payment, knowing that they wouldn't be able to provide the service. This company operates in bad faith and almost criminal ethics. They collect your money and when they need to perform, they change the story and simply cancel the service that, as a traveler, we all rely on. I'm sure that a company this incompetent will not last long, but I advise you to avoid these scammers at all cost. read more

I booked a PetCab for pickup and dropoff for my pup after his daycare had to temporarily stop offering pickup/dropoff service. It was hard to get a confirmation for the pickup/dropoff to begin with. Pickup was okay - Joanna called to communicate when she'd be stopping by, but it didn't seem like the dogs in the car are buckled in with a seat belt. My main issue was what happened during dropoff. I'm located near a tunnel into NJ, so sometimes a couple streets end up backed up with tunnel traffic. Joanna called to tell me that she had been looping around trying to get around traffic, then told me that she didn't think that my business would be worth it and that the company would be bankrupt if she sat in traffic to get my puppy home to me every day. She then asked me to walk an avenue and a half over to pick up my puppy, because 9th Ave had no traffic. I found this extremely unprofessional. Additionally, I've been renting a Zipcar now to drive my puppy to daycare by myself, and with proper Google Map routing, I haven't run into any issues with traffic. I was lured into loving this business during their early days but they have now twice ruined my schedule because of their failure to provide service at the times previously scheduled. In the most recent case, I got in touch on a Wednesday, asking for a dog ride the next day at 2pm. They were not able to accommodate, so I moved and they agreed to a Friday 2pm pickup. There was reasoning behind the specific time. Well, I get the call 2 hours before the scheduled pickup saying there's been a emergency and can me move to 4:00? No, we couldn't because of logistical issues. It wouldn't have been so bad if a pattern hadn't started to emerge.... Prior to this time, I was awaiting a nighttime pickup in a friend's neighborhood and I heard nothing from the driver from the appointed time forward. So we started to call around and luckily found a car to take me and the dog. And as I entered the unexpected Plan B car, the call came: the driver had been stopped by the police and was therefore delayed. I am now stuck without a reliable Manhattan service and am thus harming myself; but I state publicly the above is true, and backed up by a series of texts. I have reviewed Pet Cab before and wanted to add another one to reiterate how unbelievable their service is. Whether scheduled or last-minute they are so accommodating and have always welcomed our very large rescue dog. We stopped using Uber as soon as we found Pet Cab. They love animals and handle special requests (like giving us a lower car for our dog to be able to jump in). It is always a nice experience to drive with Joanna and Elliott (his dog is usually in the passenger seat) and we will continue using them for short and longer trips. read more

WORST experience in my 6 years in NYC as a dog owner. Paid in advance for the large Mercedes van as I had clearly explained I have a special-needs dog in a large crate and also 4 pieces of luggage. (I had given the dimensions of the crate) At the pre arranged time they didn't show up, I waited 15 minutes and called, 15 minutes after that an elderly lady arrived in her personal car, the back filled with junk, absolutely no way that it would fit the crate let alone my luggage, the lady angrily told me I had to dismantle the crate (this was now 45 minutes later than the time booked so I was late). I explained again my dog is special needs and couldn't come out of the crate, at which point she just became abusive and left. Traveling internationally with an animal is stressful enough, this company advertises itself as having 'Vehicles Designed to Handle Crates and Cargo Drop Offs for airport drop offs', and also 'Airport Rides with Lots of Luggage'. The service I received was TERRIBLE, and I still have not received the promised refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, SAVE YOURSELF THE MONEY AND STRESS. read more

This company is a joke. So, I ordered and paid for a ride from JFK to Manhattan (180 USD). They stood me up. Could not get hold of anyone at their company either. Well, they then promised to refund me. I waited, and then sent a reminder. Then waited, another reminder. They kept saying the money was on its way. But a month later I still have no money. I had a dire emergency with our 84 lb German Shepherd who had suddenly become virtually paralyzed. I called Pet Cab to take us to the ER at the animal medical center. Joanna responded immediately and she also was able to get a hold of a couple of strong volunteers to help lift our dog into the cab. She swiftly transported us to the ER where Joanna got out of the cab and made sure that personnel brought a gurney for my shepherd who could not walk & was promptly admitted. Joanna was so caring and kind during this terribly upsetting time. I had to call upon her again when our shepherd was discharged a week later and had to be brought to the vets for medical boarding. Joanna also sent her son to transport us and he is a truly lovely young man and equally as helpful. I again called upon Joanna when our Shepard needed to go to AMC for a check up and transportation back to the vets for another week of medical boarding. Pet Cab was so prompt so professional so caring Joanna is simply the greatest. and I will be calling upon her again because our dog. will need further transport. Transporting an 84 pound German shepherd is not an easy task and requires a lot of assistance and Joanna was always able to find assistance since neither of us could lift such a large dog. I simply cannot say enough good things about Pet Cab as a company they are reasonable reliable and just such lovely people. My Transparent Experience. I called to inquire about booking a cab for my pets. On the website, I noticed that the trunks of the cars had padding and that's what caught my eye. I needed to transport my pets same day. Although they were able to accommodate me the same day, I would have rather known that certain things wouldn't be included. The SUV arrived with no padding in the trunk, which is where my pets had to go. My pets shared the trunk with a case of water, as well as another pet in the car. The driver paid a lot of attention to his phone, understandable because it is a business but the ENTIRE ride? That's absurd and unsafe. In the end, the road rage kicked in (again, understandable, but neglecting the fact that the pets are in the trunk rubbed me the wrong way). Would I book them again? Probably not. A regular cab would've been cheaper and would have accommodated my pets if I asked. I don't feel as though it was anything special for the price or for "the billion dollar business" as the driver mentioned. read more
