Good food. Decent prices. The hours are inconsistent, though. They close early a lot.

Wings are awesome and the Stromboli was the best we ever had. Chicken wing pizza is the best as well as the cheesesteaks.

How the hell does this place have such a bad rating on Yelp? What's wrong with these reviewers?…read more These are some of the -best- wings I've had in Luzerne county. Fried perfectly, pretty big, juicy, tasty. Pub-style wings have just the right amount of coating. Outside of wing nights, prices won't wow you, but they're still comparable to other restaurants of similar quality. I think every sauce I've tried has been good to great. My only complaint is I still don't know what half of them are and find myself asking constantly what "Melly" or "Hillbilly" means. Maybe throw some descriptions up on the website? Other than wings, their burgers have been pretty good whenever I've ordered them. The pizza seems to be of quality ingredients and made with care--it's just not of a style of pizza I'm personally a big fan of. The fries aren't anything to write home about and could use an upgrade, but they're cheap when ordered à la carte and plenty palatable with wing sauce or even just salt & vinegar. Can't speak to anything like seafood or the other specials they sometimes do. Waitstaff have always been attentive, friendly, and genuine. There's been a couple of nights that seemed to be busier than usual where service was a bit slow, but it wasn't a big deal. Beer selection isn't on the level of places focused on craft beer that have dozens of taps, but you can generally find something that'll pair well with your food on draft. There's also more variety in their bottled and canned beer. I've no insights on any of the drinks other than beer, though some of the cocktails have sounded pretty tasty. Ambiance has been fine. I typically have visited in the afternoon or early evening, so I've never seen anyone get overly rowdy. It does still look a little like a dive bar inside depending on where you're looking, but nothing's dirty, unsightly, or broken. Can't speak to how the bar is later at night since I'm mainly there to eat, not socialize or drink. First time coming here? Get all of your wings done pub-style and consider the house sauce, which I believe is garlic & sweet Thai chili (though I've never really noticed if it was spicy at all). If you come with a big group, maybe split a pizza too just to see if it's up your alley. Bring cash for a discount. edit: just checked Google Maps and this place has a 4.4 rating average with 177 reviews. Some of the ratings here also predate the opening of MT Pub?? There's a reason I stopped using Yelp, I guess.

This establishment was formerly Capone's , a name it went by for a long time. Before that, It's history as a spirits pub goes back many years . Right when you go inside the bar, will tell you you're in an old old establishment. You don't see this type of bar-back construction anymore. And it's original. Fast fwd to today. It is very revitalized with new owners recently taking over the reins of the place late in 2020. This non- smoking establishment has a good sized back room with tables as well as tables and a high top in the main bar area. They can seat 10-20 if you let them know ahead of time. The crowd pressure is both local flavor and transient, especially in the outdoor recreation warm months. The fact it sits right on the D&L Trail is also a nice point. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Most of the time they go out of their way to make sure you're served and conversed with, if your into that. The menu has grown and evolved also. The food has great flavor and is a decent sized plate. The cooking here seems exceptional for a local tavern. There are specials running almost every night. Taco Tuesdays and other special food offerings are also to be had. The Wings are big and meaty; the sauce is generous and the best I've had in the area. And that exceptional meal on Sundays that runs as a special "Grandma's SUNDAY Dinners". The Burgers are as big as trampolines and tasty. The customer area is a welcoming atmosphere with some games and great music machine. Karaoke or Triva Mondays, Live music most every Saturday night now. A Great outdoor area with tables and umbrellas sitting right there off the trail in Main Street Whitehaven in the warm months. If your sightseeing this is great lunch stop, if you're on the River or trekking the D&L Trail around White Haven it's right here. This is definitely worth the stop! If you're into the "hometown Americana" experiences in your travels this one rates a stop

I'm still reviewing in PA after visiting family for 2 Birthday celebrations, so was also here to Cheer & Dine at Evan's for the first time. But Will Be Back here in Drums Again! 5 stars for Food, Service and Ambiance ! ***** My cousins live in Mountain Top and every year or twice a year depending on our schedules we visit each other in our states 10 hours away! My dear and wonderful cousins Donna & Steve D. always likes to surprise Me with a new and different place to eat inside especially since they know what to expect for a excellent dining experience for lunch or dinner. We all stopped here for dinner on Friday August 9th since being in town for Aunt Peg's surprise 90th Birthday Party on Saturday the 10th. Note this restaurant establishment does NOT accept reservations but there's plenty of room inside in front, back at the bar and a private dining room for groups and special occasions. Upon entering the door is that hometown feeling where locals dine more frequently than a Michigander as Myself but that's okay cuz Steve picked Evan's Roadhouse as a "You will Love their chicken and Philly steak sandwiches and those beer battered fries. So I said You are the King of Food! Our server was Katy and she was very welcoming to seat us all in the Private Dining Room... maybe she thought to keep us quiet away from others? We are happy and loud gabbers! lol The menu has many delicious and tasty food items to try. (Photos attached) They also offer a Happy FOOD Hour too so eat after work or just early ! The BAR Menus we talked about 1st of course and throughout our long dining visit the 6 of us drank 3 rounds of cocktails to celebrate Steve's birthday and just being together for our Summer visit. I certainly enjoyed My cocktail called a Blue Hawaiian although it was green after mixing in Malibu Rum, Blue Curacao, Pineapple & Lime Juice. I ordered the shaved chicken wrap sandwich and it was loaded with meat, cheese, peppers and onions plus filled with flavor and YES I ate the whole thing with Evan's famous tasty beer battered seasoned fries. Another great place to eat in Drums, PA (Near Aunt Peg's apartment and My cousins house 10 minutes down the hill in Mountain Top. Prices are reasonable although another visiting family member took the bill to pay so I didn't see the total although the bar tab was thirsty to say ! $$$ Thank YOU TO KATY our server that was attentive, pleasant and helpful with suggestions to our questions and with ideas as well. Love the painted etch windows where I ate showing several scary movie characters to brighten up one's views at all table and booths. We started with the French onion soup, which was rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. They also brought out fresh warm bread with raspberry butter, a standout touch that was absolutely delicious. For entrées, the pulled pork sandwich was fantastic, and their burgers were equally impressive -- juicy, well‑seasoned, and cooked just right. The braised beef risotto is truly to die for, packed with deep flavor and perfectly creamy. The 1/2 rack BBQ ribs were excellent as well, tender and smoky, served with fresh French fries that rounded out the plate perfectly. Service was top‑notch. Our waitress checked on us multiple times, making sure we had everything we needed and creating a genuinely welcoming experience. Overall, Powerhouse Eatery is a great spot with consistently delicious food and outstanding service. I'll definitely be back.

The restaurant was staged beautifully and decorated for a between-the-holidays meal, and even though it was packed there was only a low undertone of voices from the surrounding tables. Our waiter was fantastic and gave honest, informed suggestions that showed great menu knowledge. The cocktails were creative, well-balanced and refreshing; we tried the pomegranate cosmo, winter maple old fashioned, mistletoe mule, holiday margarita, and butterscotch espresso martini. The whipped ricotta and poached pear crostini really stood out and was an incredible way to begin the meal, but don't sleep on the bacon wrapped scallops. I could have eaten a bowl of that sweet corn puree and even though it's a party favorite, the smokey/sweet bacon/scallop combo was even more crisp/tender than most their kind. For entrees, we rattled off some Chilean sea bass (w/ citrus beurre Blanc), linguine and clams, and spicy chicken pappardelle, finishing with a few lunges at their Classic House Made, original 1989 recipe, Peanut Butter Pie. Normally my fiance and I split our entrees; unfortunately, I couldn't come up from the Sea Bass long enough to even offer her a bite. It was really a wonderful sauce, and a perfect amount to swirl around in the risotto. I was able to score the remainder of the clam linguine as leftovers, and even heated up in the microwave two days later it still qualified as a top three clam linguine dish I've ever had; buttery, lemony, garlicky goodness.
