Went there to see the Carolina Rollergirls. I'll definitely be going back next season to check them out again.

We arrived 1.5 hours early, and we were very surprised to see hundreds of people already there. We got to our seats and then decided to grab some dinner. We had looked at the website ahead of time for our options. However, some of the options were not easy to find- for example, the hot dog place is actually inside where the seats and arena is, instead of around the concourse with all the other restaurants. The mac'n'cheese place was on the third floor and a bit confusing to find. However, the bratwurst was delicious, the nachos near section 103 were tasty (the chicken is a bit spicy), and the burnt ends mac'n'cheese is a very generous portion and stays warm all the way back to your seat. The entire arena was very clean, including the bathroom. The attendants everywhere were all nice and very helpful. Getting out was actually really easy as well. There are tons of parking attendants ensuring traffic flows well. We were quite impressed at how smooth the entire experience was.

Also, if I ever see another girl in a miniskirt (who did not live here) passed out in my concrete hallway or people being physically carried back after one of their events, I will start calling the police. You want to be dicks and surround me with 4-6 guys to intimidate and humiliate me for all the incoming guests to see (literally) over a skinned knee, I can be a Karen about the dumpster fires you overserve and send back to the surrounding living communities under the impression you're not responsible once they leave you're parking lot. Proudly.

Rivers freshman year) On this day, actually night, 7pm kick, it was a good night to evaluate this venue. Through the years the University has done an adequate job adding, enclosing, building, and ultimately enhancing the fan experience. It only seats a modest 55k, but there is not a bad seat in the house, and it is raucous. It definitely was on this Saturday night, partially because they debuted a light show that was awesome. Concessions have come a long way too, with the addition of food trucks and alcohol service. One caveat, be prepared to pay with credit, no cash accepted. On a personal note, I attended with one of my BFF's who I had not seen since he attended the Demon Deacons game in November '18. Suffice it to say, this experience was so much better than the aforementioned. (A member of my party at '18 game who was sooo inebriated, insolent, and a total embarrassment. She has been summarily dispatched). Also, we won on Saturday, unlike in '18. If you get a chance to run with the wolves at the Carter check them out.

I love the vibe of the parking lot on game day! Everyone is ready to go! And there are plenty of porta potties so you don't have to walk into Lenovo Center each time you've gotta go. The stadium itself has plenty of bathrooms and several stations where you can buy food and drinks. The best is the brew through which has fast and convenient service! They keep ya going fast! And the kettle corn is the perfect sweet and salty snack to go with a good brew. I look forward to many a more games here at Carter Finley.

Having been involved in many higher education conference, training and education facilities, I feel that I am an expert. Through my professional and volunteer experiences, my credentials include being very active in the SigEp Fraternity, Student Government Association, and Interfraternity Council at UNC CHARLOTTE, serving as President of the New York Chapter of the Transportation Research Forum, and being a very active member of the American Public Transportation Association, which took me to conferences and meetings at many higher learning institutions including NJIT, the University of Illinois Chicago, the University of South Florida in Tampa, and the Georgia Tech Conference Center in Atlanta. I have also been to many convention centers and hotel and commercial meeting rooms. Without knowing the pricing, but assuming the NC State McKimmon Center is competitive, I have to say that the facilities are nice and seem to be a good bet for any conference, training exercise, or meeting. The facility has a very nice academic feel while still being inviting to industry, students, and people attending seminars, like me. It strikes a good balance between a professional conference environment and a welcoming campus atmosphere.

Since it's university-owned, I understand that they want to be cost-conscious but it's just not anything that would attract a major conference with an expo. The breakfast and lunch provided were pretty pedestrian, and it would have been nice to have soft drinks other than ice tea. I suppose that's all negotiated in the meeting contracts.

There are ample stalls available for rent for those not wishing/able to haul horses in on the day of the event. In the past, there were lots of nails and loose boards on the stall walls, but it seems that they have made an effort to rectify this. The stall floors are packed clay, necessitating the addition of ample shavings. Recently, they have begun paving the center aisles of the barns. Although this may seem convenient, I have safety concerns about the increased risks of horses slipping and getting injured or the increased damage that impact of human-on-concrete causes. There are a variety of riding areas on the property. 2 outdoor rings, a covered arena, an indoor arena and 2 large schooling rings. The footing in the covered and indoor arenas is quite nice. The outside rings can get a bit sloppy when it rains. The grounds staff take care to frequently drag and water all rings to keep them safe and comfortable. Recently, they installed industrial ceiling fans in the indoor arena. I give them props for this idea, as it used to get quite stuffy indoors. Unfortunately, the fans were installed by a company called "Big A$$ Fans". For whatever reason, there is now a large sign hanging in the arena with this name on it. I believe this to be highly inappropriate for all of the youth that visit the horse complex. I was very disappointed in this decision. The restroom facilities are perfectly adequate, including shower facilities for those staying over night. There is ample parking for trailers and campers. The food at the grill is reasonably priced and tasty. The staff at the grill have always been friendly. The facility holds a variety of shows over the course of the year. Many of them fun to watch. Overall, pretty good. However, I strongly urge the removal of the inappropriate sign.

I arrived early and paid for Preferred Parking so I didn't have an issue finding a spot. Leaving on the other hand was a crazy mess. It took forever to maneuver out through various lots while dealing with incoming cars trying to find a spot in a full lot. When I finally got to the road the cars were everywhere some trying to get into a lot across the street. I cannot imagine how bad it would be with a concert and people arriving around the same time. The venue was too full . I did the Twilight so there were not many people at first but then there were so many it was hard to walk anywhere. Even though the night was sold out, they were letting more people in who did not have tickets for the night in a stand by line. All I know is there were too many people inside with a long line waiting to get in from outside the entrance. While I enjoyed the Lantern Festival displays, the dangerous sized crowds and parking situation will keep me away from returning next year. The stage show had talented performers as well as the music being played by the woman in the center. Food was expensive and not good. I ordered the fried rice with the chicken bites. The chicken part was good but the rice was mushy as it was sitting too long in the container. I didn't realize it wasn't made after ordering. Service was friendly but I can see why nobody else was eating the food other than pretzels and popcorn.
