The arena was clean. I am amazed that the parking was free, the tickets were only $10, and all prices went to the Hurricanes Foundation. Had a blast, the money went to charity, and to cap it all of the Canes won! Great time, recommended.

I wasn't really sure how the seats were positioned but these were awesome seats! Kind of like bar seating without the service or conference room vibes with a long table not a round table. We really didn't have to get up at all and eventhough we didn't have an attendant or anything the food and drink were readily available just a few steps away along with the restrooms. We didn't have to worry about any crowd pushing and shoving or anything these seats were awesome I also attended this venue earlier in the year for March Madness and my husband and I sat in the seats down below regular seating and it was a bit tight for us but manageable. Nevertheless the parking no issue depending on where you park it can be a hike to get to the center. The lines move pretty fast security and all those checkpoints are pretty straightforward and finding your seat pretty much straightforward. Restrooms tidy! Concessions readily! Both visits for March Madness and a concert 10 out of 10! Have fun and enjoy life :)

Rivers freshman year) On this day, actually night, 7pm kick, it was a good night to evaluate this venue. Through the years the University has done an adequate job adding, enclosing, building, and ultimately enhancing the fan experience. It only seats a modest 55k, but there is not a bad seat in the house, and it is raucous. It definitely was on this Saturday night, partially because they debuted a light show that was awesome. Concessions have come a long way too, with the addition of food trucks and alcohol service. One caveat, be prepared to pay with credit, no cash accepted. On a personal note, I attended with one of my BFF's who I had not seen since he attended the Demon Deacons game in November '18. Suffice it to say, this experience was so much better than the aforementioned. (A member of my party at '18 game who was sooo inebriated, insolent, and a total embarrassment. She has been summarily dispatched). Also, we won on Saturday, unlike in '18. If you get a chance to run with the wolves at the Carter check them out.

Lots of food and beverage options, a clean facility, but that parking cost is just absolutely ridiculous! Guess they have a captive audience so they are seizing that moment but man, never again. $65 to park in a field and trek through mud. No thanks.

Having been involved in many higher education conference, training and education facilities, I feel that I am an expert. Through my professional and volunteer experiences, my credentials include being very active in the SigEp Fraternity, Student Government Association, and Interfraternity Council at UNC CHARLOTTE, serving as President of the New York Chapter of the Transportation Research Forum, and being a very active member of the American Public Transportation Association, which took me to conferences and meetings at many higher learning institutions including NJIT, the University of Illinois Chicago, the University of South Florida in Tampa, and the Georgia Tech Conference Center in Atlanta. I have also been to many convention centers and hotel and commercial meeting rooms. Without knowing the pricing, but assuming the NC State McKimmon Center is competitive, I have to say that the facilities are nice and seem to be a good bet for any conference, training exercise, or meeting. The facility has a very nice academic feel while still being inviting to industry, students, and people attending seminars, like me. It strikes a good balance between a professional conference environment and a welcoming campus atmosphere.

Since it's university-owned, I understand that they want to be cost-conscious but it's just not anything that would attract a major conference with an expo. The breakfast and lunch provided were pretty pedestrian, and it would have been nice to have soft drinks other than ice tea. I suppose that's all negotiated in the meeting contracts.

The website not allowing certain seats to be chosen and choosing seats for you. The vip add on was not available at ticket purchase and we had to communicate that to the tour for it to get added on the website. Next, the security team was overall the absolute rudest people we have ever encountered. We had multiple interactions 1. There was a medical emergency where the patient was waiting a very long time for medical. In the meantime we asked if they would like our fans to cool down the child. When one of the members of security screamed at us about our tickets. Which was not the question. 2. We were in the front row where we were standing and dancing. As soon as the show started we missed the first 10 minutes arguing with a member of security with her telling us to sit down. The artist had already asked people to stand, dance and have a good time three times. We have been to almost 30 shows with this particular artist all over the US including the Ryman and Carnegie Hall. Not once have we been told to sit down by security. We were watching a concert in an outdoor ampitheater NOT a library. In addition, this specific female security person was very rude. The artist witnessed what was happening and said for a FOURTH time stand up and dance. So finally security left us alone. This was definitely the worst experience we have ever had at a show. If I could leave a zero review I definitely would.
