He's allergic Had to send both meals back. Had to ask for chips and salsa. We had our drinks and ordered our food before we asked and they brought chips and salsa. Love love love the look and decor!!! The salsa was runny and very much tasted solely like tomatoes. The queso was ok, but not even on par with Velveeta. Both our orders came out wrong and were nothing special by any means. I paid with cash and my coworker paid with card... so we thought. The server messed this up as well. Charged his card for my meal, and then took his meal outta my cash. I talked to the manager, he didn't really do anything except apologize that they switched to new POS systems! Indeed sir, you did!! Came here with some friends the service was great. Ordered the Beer margarita. It was very good! I also ordered sour cream sauce cheese enchiladas. They were very good! This restaurant is pretty, and they have a liquor license, so a bar and margaritas are available. The staff is nice and the service is timely. Two good salsas are offered--spicy and mild, with the chips. The spicy is fairly tame. I have been here many times, but have noticed the taste of the food is getting very bland. I love to order the Bandera Plate (enchiladas with red, green and white sauces) Bandera means "flag" in Spanish--red, green, and white for the Mexican flag. You can't find this dish in many places, so I order it often here. It has gotten so bland that I order two Pico-de-Gallo's on the side to cover the whole thing. ( the pico is an extra charge). Even the pico is sometimes bland with not enough jalapeños. I thought I was losing my taste, but my husband agrees after tasting my food. There are many Mexicans in our community that I am sure eat their food much more spicy, so I'm not sure why the food is so bland here. Their fajitas are good, but I think they need to spice up the rest of their food. I'm originally from up North, so you know if I think it's bland, it is REALLY bland! . We walked in at 2:30 and waited up front to be seated for at least 5-10 minutes. There was no hostess or servers by the front door. Someone finally seats and and it takes another 10-15 minutes for our server to finally show up to our table. There were 3 servers that passed by our table several times. Turns out they had a meeting...last I remember they do that stuff at open or close not in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. Food was mediocre at best, and for the price it isn't worth it. If you want good Tex-Mex at the same price your best bet is to just go to Decatur and eat at Casa Torres. Very disappointed at this location, never had any problems at the one in Boyd. read more

Not impressed. The first basket of cups seemed stale, 2nd was crunchy. They dont seem homemade since a lady makes tortillas right there but they seemed thicker than the thin chips we were served. I learned their American food isn't very good to me but most of their Mexican food is good and one time they charged my card twice and I'm from out of town...I was scared because I wasn't here to go and talk to someone I had to call... They stayed on the phone with me and stayed on it till it was fixed they were very prompt at fixing their mistake... Hands down some of the best Tex-Mex we've ever had. Our family visited Dos Chiles on a weekend stay in Bridgeport. We read review before coming and had decided to eat Tex Mex one night. We were not wrong and thoroughly please with our choice! The atmosphere is casual and the wait staff very friendly. We had an awesome server who was very attentive. We had fajitas, the southwestern chicken and a taco salad in our family. White queso appetizer was excellent. There is a habanero salsa available upon request for those whose taste buds can take it. It's sweet but has a kick at the end. The fajitas were some of the best we've ever tasted. We always ask for the grilled onions to be "well done" and these were packed full of flavor here. The meat was tender and juicy. The southwestern chicken was very tasty and savory. Our daughter loved the taco salad...her favorite Tex Mex meal. She said it was better than her favorite restaurant back home. We didn't order desert but had no doubt it would be on par with the rest of the meal! Highly recommend Dos Chilies in Bridgeport and we look forward to a return trip! read more

We frequent Dos Chiles. The food is always fresh, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the wait staff is friendly and attentive. Mexican food is not my favorite cuisine but they keep me coming back. :) You can buy their flour tortillas by the dozen, ask for them cold and heat them at home. Their ranch dressing is in a classification of it's own. Their catfish is the BEST I've EVER had. I don't know what they do but it is delicious. My ONLY complaint is that when I call in an order for take out the background noise has been so loud I can't hear the person taking my order. Other than that, great food. read more

The food here wasn't horrible by any means, it was decent. I had the tacos al pastor that were alright, nothing I would rave about or necessarily recommend. My husband had the chimichanga and he LOVED his. The hot salsa and chips were really good though, probably my favorite part of the meal! The building was really nice but being in Texas your standards for Tex-Mex increases exponentially. It was a really nice building. Anyways, the food was pretty good and gave you exactly what you would expect. Nothing too exceptional that made it stand out from other Tex-Mex places. There was an excessive amount of cheese layered over my meat that overshadowed the actual taste of the beef. I really don't mind cheese but I wanted to get into that juicy meat. It's an alright place and I would go back again. They definitely need to make things more spicy. The regular salsa tastes like ketchup whereas the "Spicy Salsa" tastes like actual salsa (and it wasn't spicy!). So definitely go for the spicy salsa if you are gonna order some chips. The price was a little too much for this type of joint and definitely not too worth it. read more

This is a fairly new local Tex-Mex place. The building is nice and the inside is inviting. We received good service. Went here with family that lives in the area. Bridgeport doesn't offer a lot of choices when it comes to a smoke-free family place to eat. The food was not outstanding as you would expect. We have better Mexican places in Nebraska but for Bridgeport is was better than average. I would say that the salsa that came with the chips was not good at all, tasted like tomato soup from a can. read more

As someone from a southwest state I know great Mexican when I see, smell, and taste it. This place was good. I've had better but for the price I was happy. The meat was cooked well but I've never had a chimichanga that wasn't deep fried. The salsa was horrible! The mild was like tomato sauce with no seasoning and the hot was tomato sauce with red peppers and jalipeno juice. My other family members loved their meals, this the 4 stars. We are regulars at Dos Chiles, 3-4 times a month. We love the new building and the salsa is great when you mix the two flavors together. My only problem is that they aren't consistent with their pricing. One time my family can eat there for $25 and the next time it will be almost $40, even though we always order the same things! Sometimes they'll charge $3 for a plate of cheese!? And they cant agree on what the charge for a grilled chicken breast?? We still enjoy the atmosphere and the food is always good! read more

Best Mexican food around! Wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable, well dressed and eager to please. Food is fantastic and comes out hot and fast. Tortillas and salsa are made from scratch, in-house. Don't see what you like on the menu? Ask! They can make anything you want, however you want. Full bar with beer, margaritas, etc. Flat screen in the main dinning area and two in the bar. I was unsure about ordering shrimp. However, their skewers of grilled shrimp was amazing! I will get that again :-)

We visited Dos Chiles Grandes mid-afternoon on Saturday. Service was good, however the food was not. I ordered the beef gorditas. I've had gorditas before but what I was served was incredibly dry, not to mention the tortilla had obviously been frozen and thawed. It broke in half when trying to eat it. Rice was good, beans not so much, tasted burnt. Others in our party had mediocre reviews, steak fajita salad was ok and Pancho Villa was ok.
