Left 4 stars last time and really need to upgrade to 5. This place is immaculate. Even at its busiest, the staff manages to keep tables bussed and cleaned well. And speaking of staff...this is the nicest group around. Everyone is clean and neat, kind and willing to help. You sure don't get this kind of service elsewhere. Friendly service, good margaritas and sangria. We had a larger party and the reserved area was nice. Servers kept up with chip and salsa and drink refills. Chips and salsa came out right away. Visiting friends and this was 1/2 mile from their house. Started with some drinks, which included Mexican beer; Dos Equis Amber for me and Lager for my friend. The Ladies each had Tito's and water. Very decent Americanized Mexican food...exactly what you'd expect from this style of restaurant. Place is located within a Sagamore Hills strip mall and has separate bar and restaurant seating areas, including a "party room" for larger groups...which is where we sat. Servers were friendly and efficient. Chips and salsa flowed freely, drinks were reasonably priced. I had a sampler platter consisting of a taco, burrito and enchilada along with refried beans, all were good. If this is your thing, then Dos Coronas will certainly fit the bill. read more

My family and I had a taste for some Mexican this evening and with all the reviews on Dos Coronas we decided to give it a go. It was our first time there. I had a strawberry margarita and it was delicious!!! The tortilla chips were warm and fresh not stale like some places. The lettuce, guacamole, tomato salad with sour cream side salad was really good! The produce was fresh. You can taste it in the tomatoes and lettuce. I had the spinach (which was really fresh btw) cheese and cheese quesadilla and it was really good. My husband enjoyed his steak and veggies. We've been to this place many times over the last 5 years since we've lived nearby. In the past I have considered them average for Mexican food in the area, but the last few times we've been there, we have been impressed with the quality of the food and also very happy with the service. This last time, we had the Burrito Dos Coronos and the Seafood Burrito. Both were excellent. I was amazed at the quality of the seafood in my burrito. They've really stepped up their game, and we'll be back for sure. read more

We finally got to the new location. It took them over two years to get situated!! They had a busy crowd which is a good sign. The new venue had pleasing decor. I had the shrimp in a cream chipotle sauce with a side of beans and rice. I did like the Spanish rice as it was moist but not sticky. Just the right amount of chill powder. I do like when they add guacamole to Mexican dishes so you don't have to order a side of it. So many choices in Mexican restaurants and I'd come back here for sure and get another Sangria. read more

Arguably humanity's masterpiece, Dos Coronas in the Nordonia Hills area is nothing short of culinary mastery. When you walk in the door, you instantly feel welcomed by the friendly staff. Not to mention the great drink spetchals! They have won the turf wars with Tacos Mexicanos, in my book. Those burrito specials at Tacos Mexicanos had my tummy feeling NO BUENO! Great strawberry margarita and I had the Enchiladas that came with one pork, one beef, one chicken, one bean, and one cheese (see photo) my wife had Flautas and my son had a kids taco with rice and beans all of the food was great the service was a little slow but we were not in a hurry (only reason for 4 vs 5 star rating) food was great we had desert too fried ice cream and flaun yum yum !!! read more

Not a great experience this time We waited for over 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Then we waited another 15 minutes for our drinks. And we didn't get chips and salsa until we got our drinks... The most horrifying thing was when our server came to take our order, she put a tray full of dirty dishes from another table onto our table. On top of my mom's flatware. And one of the dishes fell onto my mom's lap. That is the most disgusting and unsanitary thing that I have ever experienced at a restaurant... GROSS We ended up leaving cause there was a medical issue. But this was the worst experience we've had at this restaurant. read more

I have been coming here every week since I moved here four months ago, and every experience has been amazing. I have brought multiple friends here because I was so impressed... However, tonight I sat at the bar and waited at the bar for an hour until someone asked me if I wanted to make an order. Multiple people came and went and got their food... I waited for someone to take my order and they did not... I even after I ordered multiple margaritas. No one asked me what I wanted to eat , maybe it's my fault maybe I should say "hey can you take my order?" but in my opinion I feel like that's their job, not mine. In addition, over the past 4 months I also met the owner Andres, who is really awesome in previous trips and so Andres, if you're reading this, I came here on Thursday, September 7, and was extremely disappointed with the fact that I didn't get asked if I wanted food... on the bright side, chips are good!! Cinco de Mayo, taco Tuesday, and COVID 19 do not mix at this establishment ! Management has known for over a month they would be closed to dine in. They should have known there would be a high volume of orders. Order placed at5:00pm online and told "lost" in system. They are recommending taking a refund. Sangria Margarita was delicious! I ordered chimichanga and a beefsteak plate (something starts with the letter c...). The portion of every meal is less than other restaurants but it's a good amount for my tummy cuz it's always too much when I eat in another Mexican restaurant. When I ordered Flan for the first time I remembered it was good but at the second time it was more crumble and not smooth like pudding. Since we got a coupon and it's close to where I currently live I definitely go back there. Our daughter loves this place, so my wife and I have made 3 visits. My opinion is that it is good but not excellent. I have experimented with my orders and absolutely loved my very first order (#13) but am so-so on my next two. My wife enjoyed her meals. The decor was the best thing. The food was decent. The customer service is severely lacking. Also, my friend has tried for weeks now to get some understanding as to why the dish she got gave her an allergic reaction because she never has had it happen & is a common dish she's ordered other places and been fine with. They have refused to help. They clearly do not care if we return or about their customers well being. She is scared to return from not knowing what caused it and I think their behavior is suspicious myself. For their lack of sensitivity, we will never be returning.
