The meat - both the chicken and the steak was scraps...not a whole piece of meat in the container. The onions and peppers were burnt and cold. I came here expecting a casual dinner, but I left spiritually changed -- mostly because I ate enough guacamole to reach enlightenment. Friendly service, good margaritas and sangria. We had a larger party and the reserved area was nice. Servers kept up with chip and salsa and drink refills. Chips and salsa came out right away. Left 4 stars last time and really need to upgrade to 5. This place is immaculate. Even at its busiest, the staff manages to keep tables bussed and cleaned well. And speaking of staff...this is the nicest group around. Everyone is clean and neat, kind and willing to help. You sure don't get this kind of service elsewhere. Place is located within a Sagamore Hills strip mall and has separate bar and restaurant seating areas, including a "party room" for larger groups...which is where we sat. My family and I had a taste for some Mexican this evening and with all the reviews on Dos Coronas we decided to give it a go. It was our first time there. I had a strawberry margarita and it was delicious!!! The tortilla chips were warm and fresh not stale like some places. The lettuce, guacamole, tomato salad with sour cream side salad was really good! The produce was fresh. You can taste it in the tomatoes and lettuce. I had the spinach (which was really fresh btw) cheese and cheese quesadilla and it was really good. My husband enjoyed his steak and veggies. We've been to this place many times over the last 5 years since we've lived nearby. In the past I have considered them average for Mexican food in the area, but the last few times we've been there, we have been impressed with the quality of the food and also very happy with the service. This last time, we had the Burrito Dos Coronos and the Seafood Burrito. Both were excellent. I was amazed at the quality of the seafood in my burrito. They've really stepped up their game, and we'll be back for sure. read more

We finally got to the new location. It took them over two years to get situated!! They had a busy crowd which is a good sign. The new venue had pleasing decor. I had the shrimp in a cream chipotle sauce with a side of beans and rice. I did like the Spanish rice as it was moist but not sticky. Just the right amount of chill powder. I do like when they add guacamole to Mexican dishes so you don't have to order a side of it. So many choices in Mexican restaurants and I'd come back here for sure and get another Sangria. read more

Not a great experience this time We waited for over 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Then we waited another 15 minutes for our drinks. And we didn't get chips and salsa until we got our drinks... The most horrifying thing was when our server came to take our order, she put a tray full of dirty dishes from another table onto our table. On top of my mom's flatware. And one of the dishes fell onto my mom's lap. That is the most disgusting and unsanitary thing that I have ever experienced at a restaurant... I have been coming here every week since I moved here four months ago, and every experience has been amazing. I have brought multiple friends here because I was so impressed... However, tonight I sat at the bar and waited at the bar for an hour until someone asked me if I wanted to make an order. Multiple people came and went and got their food... I waited for someone to take my order and they did not... I even after I ordered multiple margaritas. The portion of every meal is less than other restaurants but it's a good amount for my tummy cuz it's always too much when I eat in another Mexican restaurant. When I ordered Flan for the first time I remembered it was good but at the second time it was more crumble and not smooth like pudding. Since we got a coupon and it's close to where I currently live I definitely go back there. Also, my friend has tried for weeks now to get some understanding as to why the dish she got gave her an allergic reaction because she never has had it happen & is a common dish she's ordered other places and been fine with. They have refused to help. They clearly do not care if we return or about their customers well being. She is scared to return from not knowing what caused it and I think their behavior is suspicious myself. For their lack of sensitivity, we will never be returning.
