This is the best Mexican in the area. I have been to so many and was going to give up until I found this gem. My diet is vegetarian and the refried beans here are both 1. Lard FREE and 2. Super effing delicious The staff is incredible. The price is unbeatable. And the food can't be beat. There is also a huge bar and tons of seating.

We went to Plaza Agave in Niles, Ohio for a celebratory dinner with friends who were marking their 10th wedding anniversary. The restaurant is located in a plaza, which made it easy to find and offered plenty of parking, definitely a plus. The evening started off a bit rocky, but things gradually improved as the night went on. We ordered a few appetizers for the table along with individual entrées, and overall, the food was enjoyable. I had the Texas Fajita, which came with both corn and flour tortillas, some of which tore a little too easily, but it wasn't a major issue. One suggestion I'd offer is that it's best practice to serve all meals at the same time; some of us received our food well before others, and that kind of timing can take away from the shared dining experience. On a more positive note, one of the servers (possibly the manager) brought over complimentary shots, which was a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. All in all, the night turned out to be a pleasant one.

Always a good meal and plenty of food. Margaritas are still delicious. Chips and salsa are still good. Service and atmosphere are always nice. I like this casual family restaurant.

We love Plaza Agave! Really delicious authentic Mexican food. We had the fish tacos and steak fajita burrito on our most recent visit and both were mouth watering! The people are so attentive and kind.

Very average Mexican restaurant with traditional food. Lots of space so good for groups and hardly a wait. Super cheap beers and lots of items on the menu. Kids menu is long but I wouldn't recommend the chicken fingers.. should have said nuggets. Got the rest to go because the kid was melting so I'm sure the food was better fresh. Fajitas were super good and the beef taco was crispy. Rice and beans were forgettable. Chili rellano was an absolute no for us. Do not recommend... not cheesy or spicy or covered in a sauce. Service was flexible and quick. We will be back for tacos!

Everything here is amazing. The food and drinks are delicious, fresh, and flavorful. Everything is also very reasonably priced, and very affordable. The service is fast, the servers and cooks are friendly and kind. Ambiance is also really good (especially in the bar area!). Restaurant is clean and just an overall pleasant place to be. We will be making this a regular on our night out!!

First thing - nice people, nice place inside. Very casual, but not dumpy at all The chips are warm and the salsa is yummy My husband ordered the tableside guacamole, which they make right at your table and customize it the way you want it. When I asked how it was he said "SO GOOD" Ordered a virgin pina colada and a raspberry margarita. Both were delicious. Hubs had enchiladas del pureta - he said it was very good. He also had a tamale - good and a chicken taco which he said was amazing I had the chimichangas- they were good! We would definitely come back!

WAS the vegetable enchiladas. Amazing, and I'm not a vegetarian.

Holy cow is this place amazing. Would never have found it except that they are actually delivering to us via Uber Eats. Three times now, never ordering the same thing, I am pleasantly surprised. I cannot wait til this pandemic has subsided so we can eat there in person!! Photo: sorry, too good to stop eating.

Plaza Agave is a passable stop for a Mexican food fix. I know a lot of people who love it, but it's not my favorite Mexican place. They are friendly and service is fast, but the food is kind of meh. The chips always seem stale and the fajitas aren't great. I have had fajitas in at least 100 different Mexican restaurants in my life, and they have all been pretty consistent regardless of location, but these are just okay. But they get 4 stars because there aren't that many reasonably priced restaurants in Bainbridge so I have to give them some credit... (although their prices are higher than other Mexican places in northeast Ohio). So stop in and have a great time, just don't expect the food to wow you or you will leave disappointed.

I met up with an old schoolmate I haven't seen in 20 years and we enjoyed ourselves but it mainly due to each other's company. The offerings were very...just okay. For a Mexican place, the prices were high and portions were very small. No free chips and salsa! We had to pay $4 for chips and salsa, plus $1 for refill for just the salsa. The shrimp tostado was great but so small for the price! We ordered the tres leches cake and the description said sponge cake drenched in cream and sauce...well, it came in a block of the driest brick of a cake and then scraped on the top with some thin milk sauce or something. I mentioned this to the waitress who brought us back a side of the whipped horchata topping (that was promised with this dessert) and it was good but pretty annoying that I had to ask for it...the cake was $8 which is the same price as a slice of Cheesecake Factory's cheesecake which not only is their value and portion more reasonable, but lives up to its promise of deliciousness as a dessert, unlike the tres leches cake. We did love the little elote fritters but man...6 tiny, less than mouthful servings did not justify its price. The decor was neat, clean, fun but not overly colorful or crazy. Our server was nice but not the most knowledgeable nor helpful. She was attentive with water and checking in with us though. I can't see myself coming back here unless someone else REALLY wants to go. Chagrin Falls has a lot of interesting places but does need a more casual but hip Asian fusion place. Hopefully, this will come to fruition one day. I'm still not over not getting to try Umami before it got converted to the bland, overpriced abomination that is The Reserve.

We discovered Amigos a couple years ago, when seating was very limited, but they recently expanded and the decor is more inviting and authentic. We've tried a lot of things on this menu and have never been disappointed. Our food has always been fresh and plentiful, served with a smile. Two things I can ecstatically recommend: their house guacamole and their margaritas. Their hearty and bold guacamole is made fresh to order right at your table and it's become our favorite guacamole. We love their mango margaritas. We have found chunks of mango in ours, and make certain to always get the rims coated with tajin because they use tamarind to get the spice to stick to the rim--so tasty! It wasn't our first choice, but it ended up being a decent find--especially if you're in the mood for creative tacos. We arrived well after the lunch rush and there were only a handful of patrons in the restaurant, so it was fairly quiet. We ordered chips and salsa to start, but unfortunately they never made it to the table. When our food arrived and I asked about them, our waitress admitted she had forgotten to write it down. The food also seemed to take a bit longer than expected considering the restaurant wasn't busy. Because of that, the service was a little underwhelming. That said, the tacos themselves were the highlight of the visit. I ordered three of the smaller tacos, but they packed a lot of flavor. My picks were The Yoda, The Love Shack, and The Filthy Fajita--all creative and really well done. Small in size, but definitely big on flavor. Overall, the food was solid, but the service could use some improvement. If I lived in the area, I could definitely see this being a good happy hour spot to grab tacos and drinks with friends.

This time I was inspired to look for a Mexican ceviche. In my most recent adventure, I visited Taqueria La Loma in Akron and very much enjoyed my meal. After ordering from the counter, I sat down and was quickly given some fresh chips and salsa to snack on. Although these were delicious, I probably should have passed on this because what I ordered was much more that I could eat alone. I was impressed by the flavor and value of the Mixed (shrimp and octopus) Ceviche, and would absolutely suggest it to anyone. I'd never had octopus ceviche before, and was concerned about chewiness, but was pleasantly surprised at how tender it was. I assume the shrimp ceviche is similarly good. I also ordered 3 birria tacos. I found there was maybe slightly too much cheese in the taco, but the tasty consomé dip was impressive. To wash it all down, I had one of the best horchata drinks I've ever had in my life. It was sooo good and a must-have. The staff was attentive and helpful, and the food came out quickly. The restaurant was basic, but clean, and looks like the kind of authentic place you'd want to go for a casual but tasty Mexican food meal.
