What a great place to eat! The prices were very reasonable and the food quality was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.

The ambiance of this restaurant is nice, great outdoor seating. The service is also great! For meals on a budget this place is priced well but, it is priced this way due to the food quality. The food arrived about five minutes after ordering which one would usually think is a good thing but, it makes me question how fresh the food is made. I ordered the chicken enchiladas combo and the rice and beans were good but the enchilada sauce tasted like jarred marinara sauce and the chicken was very dry. So if you are looking for a cheap spot in Medina this would be a good option for you but just know that it is cheaper for a reason. read more

Cute place. Looks like the chips are made in house and are very good. Salsa also good. The queso had good flavor but was on the runny side even after cooling down. The fiesta taco salad was good but too much liquid, it was soupy. The margarita gold was made with that mix that tastes like what detergent smells like..if you know you know. When I drive past Los Cantaritos it's usually packed. I really wanted to like this place but can't see coming back here. read more

I eat at the place once a week. It is by far my most favorite Mexican restaurant. I always order the same thing because humans are creatures of habit. And my habit is the Burrito Fajita. My husband, who is a fan of Tex-Mex cuisine, enjoyed a substantial enchilada dish--though I can't remember the specific type, it was large and tasty, and he finished every bit of it. They were very busy and though we got seated without much of a wait (Sunday evening on the weekend of the eclipse) we ended up having to wait 40+ minutes for our food. My steak veracruzano was supposed to come with rice and beans and I never got them. The wait staff was kind about the wait and gave us a discount. Thankfully the kids got full on chips and salsa so they weren't cranky. The hard tacos my kids ordered were also soggy but I think that's because they were ready for awhile but didn't get served. I'm hardly ever in Medina so when I found myself there on a weekday I searched around for a place to get some lunch. I am SO glad I ended up coming here. The server was lovely and brought out complimentary chips and salsa as I flipped thru their menu. I settled on the Tacos de Canasta (new to me dish). Guys, guys I will literally make the drive here for this dish. The lady who brought it out asked if I'd ever has them before and when I said I hadn't, explained that I can either dip the taco in the side of sauce or pour it on the taco. Ate here tonight with a party of 4. Parking was ample and we were seated immediately. Complimentary chips and salsa were excellent and plentiful. Entrees were generously sized, and our food came out fairly quickly. I had a super burrito that was HUGE--at least a foot long and thick--easily enough for 2 people, and loaded with shredded meat. It was dry on the outside and could have benefitted from some type of cheese sauce or something similar, but still stellar. Had to take most of it home. Also had 2 tostadas that were terrific. The place looked cute so we thought we'd stop in for lunch. When the fresh chips and salsa came out it promised good things. That feeling quickly evaporated when our two Super Burritos came out. I remember commenting under my breath as the waiter walked away, "These look dry." My fears were confirmed as I took a bite. Usually burritos are served with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream either inside or on the side. This was just rice, beans, and meat. That's it. They didn't even have a sauce poured over it. Just dined at Los Cantaritos for the first time since moving to Medina. We drove past this establishment last week and I wondered why we've never visited. When we walked in, the small dining room was full. But a very friendly hostess/waitress asked if we wouldn't mind sitting at the bar until a table opened up. We sat at the bar and she took our drink orders. She made us feel very welcome with her friendly personality, humor, and smile. We ordered beverages and she brought us salsa, chips, and melted cheese. We had time to peruse the menu and place our orders. Then a table opened and we moved to it. She mentioned that their card reader wasn't working so we would either have to pay cash or call back tomorrow with our credit card information. For dinner, my daughter ordered chicken a la crema, my wife ordered tacquitos, my son ordered a chicken quesadilla, and I ordered #57 chicken and peppers. In traditional Mexican fashion, the food started arriving a few minutes after ordering and it was piping hot. This is some of the best Mexican I've had. Refried beans are hands down the best I've eaten, smoky due to some chipotle (but not spicy hot!). Our food came out super super fast at lunch time, with extra generous portions for an excellent price. We ordered steak fajitas and flautitas and they were absolutely delicious, with good caramelization on the fajitas and lots of meat, before tax each was under $10. Our drinks were refilled super fast without asking. I loved the music that was playing and the chatter in Spanish between employees, but everyone on staff is bilingual. Food was excellent. Not one complaint on portions or taste. But we waited 20 minutes to place our order. She never came back and as we were almost done eating we saw her leaving with her coat on. Her name was Cathy, at least that was on the check. She never said she had to go. That would have been fine. Someone else came over so we could order dessert and get a refill on our drinks. Service and ambiance was great. The food was disappointing. We ordered a pork torta and a shrimp quesadilla. Very little flavor. The pork and rice were extremely dry. There was canned pineapple and jalapeños from a jar covering the sandwich. The fries were soggy and had no salt. I took one bite of the sandwich and was done. My wife ended up opening her quesadilla and eating just the shrimp because it was a soggy mess and inedible as a quesadilla. I guess they were used to throwing away 85% of the entree they just brought out because they didn't say a word. read more
