I went here with my Dad on an off day for both of us. We were here a couple years ago and it has drastically improved. The interior is very well lit with natural light and light fixtures. The tables, chairs, walls are all new. Very aesthetically appealing. The menu is much more extensive than before. I remember getting some carnitas dish, minus the flour tortillas (didn't have corn back then) and the garnishes because just a carnitas dinner was not on their small menu then. Now, the menu has pages and pages of options for both food and drink. The waitress we had was good not great. For lunchtime that wasn't super busy, we saw her a couple times, our food came out and then it was a little bit before she came back to see if we liked everything and with the spoon I asked for. I love carnitas. These were really tasty. I've had them at various other Mexican restaurants. These had a drier texture, but don't let that get to you. These flavors are still there. My Dad and I both weren't crazy about the rice and beans, we've had better, we still liked them as staples to a good meal. Plentiful portions. Expanded menu. Aesthetically pleasing interior. Unfortunately, it seems that quality has gone down a bit since Tulum opened. Not that anything was "bad", just not great. The ceviche didn't have much flavor and was fairly dry. It should have had a lot more liquid and a little heat. But it was the wings that were sub-par. The mango habanero sauce was delicious, and there was plenty. We have been there many times, since they opened, both for lunch and dinner. It had always been wonderful. This past Saturday, September 27, 2025, it was terrible. I ordered the steak chimichanga and my husband ordered the Tulum fajitas, which is steak, chicken and shrimp. There was no seasoning on my steak. Tasted like it was brow and sliced. Very blah. I know, it's my technical word. His fajitas were also unseasoned. I spoke to the server, and to be honest, she had a hard time understanding the issue. I've driven past this many times with my folks, we decided to come out for cinco de mayo. I had the tulum bowl. Everything was super fresh, the pineapple for the al pastor complimented the bowl really well. My only gripe was mostly service related, it took quite a while to get waters and place our order. The salsa and chips were pretty good so that held us over. We did hear someone get an earful when they realized how long we were sitting. Overall, service and training are the easiest things to improve, so I look forward to seeing them grow in the future! read more

Maybe they're understaffed but we were the only ones there this morning for a bmqhioe, and no one came by to take our order for the longest time. We couldn't even find anyone to flag down. No one was at the register or anywhere in sight. We had to ask for water 3 times because by the time we did see someone, a party of 2 came. The food was good but nothing to write home about. My favorite thing was probably the salsa that came with the chips. The jalapeno guac was also good but sadly lacked any heat. I came here with a friend to celebrate a birthday on a Monday evening. The restaurant wasn't very busy and service was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful, modern, and clean and very large. The bar is full service and the atmosphere is much nicer than most of the other Mexican restaurants around in that it is modern and new. My friend had a blackberry margarita and a strawberry margarita. She enjoyed both and the presentation was beautiful with tiki glasses and flower and fruit accouterments. She ordered a burrito and I had a quesadilla. Both were good sized and tasted great. The restaurant has high tops and tables but no booths. Our server checked on us frequently. The menu is extensive. A very surprising find! Upon entering, it has the feel of a Mexican restaurant trying to be trendy and new while forgetting its roots - the food! I have to say we were pleasantly surprised and the food was great! Everything was definitely fresh and appeared homemade. The corn tortillas and chips were definitely NOT generic food service variety. Had the Enchilada Verdes and "Mexican Tacos" (as named in the menu - Steak and Chorizo) and they were fantastic. Salsa and salsa fresca were homemade and fresh. Service was great, the waiter was very friendly and attentive. Interesting note - the bathrooms were modern and super clean leaving me with the impression that the entire restaurant maintains a high level of cleanliness. Let me take you on a culinary adventure to the great walked Mayan city of Tulum where fresh, bold, and vibrant flavors come together to form a truly lovely afternoon. The food was served in rapid fashion as we teased our palettes on fresh, warm tortilla chips and cool, zingy and well balanced salsa and smooth, creamy queso with chorizo. The chicken from the fajitas on its own, though good, was under seasoned. However, in combination with all the toppings, it was very good. The enchiladas rancheros ran a bit of a gambit. The steak was under seasoned as well, but the ground beef and cheese enchiladas were very well done. Our lovely and smile inducing server was helpful in making our food choices and was incredibly friendly. The restaurant itself was bright, open and airy with beautiful light fixtures and lively kitsch. Tulum is a new restaurant in Twinsburg off of 82 at a 480 interchange. The place is divided into multiple dining areas. We sat at a high top table near the bar. Nice tables and chairs with stylish decor. The place had a nice feel. Our waitress was friendly and explained the menu to us and answered all questions. We got basic soft drinks, but the margaritas looked good from a distance (next time!) Chips and salsa were given gratis at the table. Chips okay but salsa fresh. For dinner I ordered carnitas tacos. Well plated and delicious, the tacos were served with a good portion of refried beans and rice. Freshly sliced lines and a spicy avocado sauce were good accompaniments. I'd prefer the tacos a la carte at a lower price, but it's hard to argue with delicious. Since it was a friend's birthday, I ordered churros. A good size order (6) with whipped cream. Soft opening!! Grand Opening will be after New Year's as we were told. This was so long in the works. Covid really slowed this one down with their construction. Brand new! Very warm and inviting. To the left of the hostess stand is standard restaurant area. Seating behind the hostess stand and to the right is the bar area with high tops. We were promptly given complimentary chips, salsa and a creamy jalapeño dip! Excellent salsa and chips. The dip had the perfect kick. We had cocktails. My choice was the sangria. You'll find their attention to detail quite superb. My sangria had orange, lime, strawberries, blackberries and blueberries. They were all fresh. Our appetizer choice was the Tamale Oaxaqueno with two sides. It was on a corn husk vs the banana leaves but that didn't matter to us as you eat neither. We elected our two sides to be a double dose of black beans. These are made there for sure. Entree was the Birria tacos which was three street tacos sized. Meat was tender and well seasoned. We stopped in on Cinco De Mayo and even though the restaurant was VERY busy, we still had great service. The margaritas were delicious and our food came out right away. The atmosphere was great too!! Parking is easy and the decor is nice and light. Was with a large group for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The staff was very accommodating as we ended up with more people than anticipated. Drinks were a little slow coming out but the food made it to table all together. The rice was a little salty otherwise the grilled chicken rice bowl was great. The salmon salad was tasty. A little to much dressing that sealed to the bottom so it made the salad a little soggy but not a bad eat. The chunky guacamole was wonderful from what the people in the party shared. Excellent food and a great atmosphere! My friends and I went for an early dinner. One thing to watch out for is the glassware. A few of our glasses had lip/lipstick marks all over the cup and alerted our server. I ordered the Arrachera tacos ($18), which was skirt steak on a corn tortilla. It also came with a side of rice and beans. This taco was absolutely delicious!! I a not a huge fan of Mexican (usually due to the fact that they all taste pretty standard), but THIS food was very authentic tasting. I devoured my tacos and was stuffed! I've dined in twice and ordered takeout at least once. I'm just not super impressed with Tulum. Their menu is fairly small compared to your typical neighborhood Mexican spot and well as being pricey in comparison. Most recently, I sat at the bar and my husband and I ordered drinks and entrees. The Paloma was pretty solid while whatever drink my husband got was "meh". He ordered the Birria, which were basically just beef tacos. They don't fry up the tacos with the beef sauce and then cheese it up. It was just tacos, with beef, cilantro and fresh onions. It tasted like nothing but the corn tortilla. My Big Burrito was a decent size but also didn't taste like much of anything either, just the cheese really. Everything could have benefited from some salt or something. I did hair their garlic mushrooms on a previous visit and those were delicious! Our bartender was nice enough, but I had to ask for water 3 times, and every time we asked for anything, she had to start someone else's drink first. I did ask for a tequila menu and was basically told that what i could see on the shelf is what they have. So there's that. The newly built restaurant is a good size, but configured kind of strangely. This was a solid Mexican restaurant! We were impressed by the size of the meals when it comes to price. Some of their staples like Chimichangas and their Big Burrito are $13 or $14, yet they're filling and delicious. You can definitely go pricier, especially if you indulge in their margarita carafes, but it's also possible to eat a really solid meal without breaking the bank. I really enjoyed the Big Burrito, and I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. The strawberry margarita was like drinking pure sugar, which my mom and sister loved. I'd probably stick with a regular margarita haha, but that's personal preference. The restaurant is large and has a modern design, with beautiful glass flower lamps hanging from the ceiling. It gets pretty loud in there, so it's not an intimate date spot, but it's fun for big groups. We were a party of 8 (including 2 young kids), and they were very helpful and patient with us. It was my sister's birthday, so they came and sang happy birthday to her and brought her a tequila shot - fun! I would definitely recommend this place. read more

This is exactly what twinsburg needed! Ambiance is perfect. Like modern, tradition. Great music, nice bar area for sports. The staff is wonderful. So friendly and so focused on curating the perfect experience. The food. I'm dying. It was SO good. Last night we had the ribeye and the chicken enchiladas in the red sauce. It was incredible. You can tell that everything was fresh and home-cooked. Presentation was perfect and clean. Good sign when your food doesn't have to be smothered in cheese to be delicious. Today we went back because I had dreams about the chips and salsa. We had the brisket tacos and the Cochinita Pibil. It was just as good as the dishes last night. We also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners today and it was fun to learn about his culture and and his vision for this place!
