Dos Hermanos is a true hidden gem. Nestled in the back of a small family Mexican Grocery store is one of the best little restaurants around. The staff is friendly and the food is authentic. There is a meat market within, so you know where it is coming from. It is rare to find this in most places. My wife is in love with the flautas and demands that I take her to get them. That's exactly what we did. I ordered the quesabirria, which is a play on a quesadilla mixed with a birria taco. Everything was fresh and delicious. There was nothing left behind. There are only a few tables inside, but you can do takeout. Please show these guys some major love. They deserve all of the praise. read more

W O W... We ordered a large takeout today for Father's Day. It was last minute in person- $80 worth of food and they had it finished in 15 minutes. We ordered a bunch of al pastor tacos, huaraches, a few beef burrito supreme meals, sopes, gorditas, chips & salsa, beef tacos. Everything was phenomenal and very authentic! It truly made today a special Father's Day for my Dad. I appreciated how friendly and helpful the employees were. The market is great too. The restaurant side has sit down tables. The fluatas were freshly fried and filled with shredded chicken. The tortillas had the perfect crunch It was topped with tomatoes, sour cream, sliced avocado, and tomatoes. Tucked away in the back of a tiny little Mexican grocery store you'll find some of the most delicious food. Taco Tuesday is a big deal around here, but don't take my word for it, you need to go experience it for yourself. We were drawn here initially for the $2 tacos, my husbands favorite, but have since branched out into their regular menu. The portions are large, the prices are extremely affordable, and the food always comes out hot and fresh. If you go during lunch time expect to wait a bit for your food, they seem to only have 1 waitress working the dining room, counter, register and handling carry outs. I assure you your patience will be rewarded and you will be supporting a local business. I recommend the steak flautas and churros! The only thing I've tried here so far that I don't care for are the beans and rice, it's a personal preference though. read more

My sister came in from out of town and wanted something different for lunch. Nothing glam, just tasty food, she insisted. Here we came. She is a newbie to street tacos and wanted to try a bunch of different meats (not too weird mind you, just different). We got four tacos; chorizo (my fave), al pastor (her fave), carnitas and barbacoa. The only miss for her was barbacoa (it was an off day) but that is no shocker as we both prefer pork. We each got a side of beans. Yummy. I just adore these. We loved the chips with the two salsas (green is the best but I need both here) but we also added an order of excellent guac because we are just that way. Added a couple of bottles of pop and we were still cheap as chips for lunch, stuffed full too. Our service was friendly and efficient. I love the soaps in Spanish on the TV. I could totally eat here solo happily with the entertainment provided. After we were done stuffing our faces we wandered the store area being happy little explorers. Fun products. This is one of my favorite new finds. If you're looking for authentic Mexican....look no further! Seriously, this place is as good as it gets! I really love the carne asada tacos. The chorizo is also fantastic. This is a super market and a little restaurant all in the same building. The restaurant has maybe 6 tables, slightly slow service, no ambiance whatsoever, unless you count 2 televisions blaring Spanish speaking TV shows ambiance. But you know what - the food is so good that none of that matters. A little advice - don't let the outside appearance scare you off. Do go there. Get tacos, lots of tacos (because they are so darn cheap!). The refried beans are very tasty, the rice - meh. The green salsa - some kind of salsa verde is super good. Often times I will request the hot or spicier salsa just so that I can taste some kind of flavor, but let me tell you, here their mild salsa is also delish and flavorful! Also, if you live near enough (thankfully we do), it's a great place to do carry out from. They will sell you the carne asada meat already cooked, by the pound! My go to for authentic Mexican street food. I've been here a half dozen times, and every time there were plenty of folks from south of the US/Mexico border eating alongside me. The tacos taste like they do in Mexico. It's inexpensive, simple and authentic. I usually get pastor or the chorizo, for some reason most places can't cook chorizo right but they do. Really enjoy this place and will certainly be returning over and over. read more

We've eaten here 100+ times...never again! Moved to Canton in '13. We stumbled on Dos Hermanos right after arrival. Been loyal customers and have sung their praises over and over. When we 1st went there we would get 2 taco lunch specials and 2 sodas for about $12. We couldn't believe the value. Decent food for a great price. Over the years, as the price of everything has risen, so did the prices at Dos Hermanos. We were never put off by our experience...until today. We went in today to find that they have redone the menu. In the past, we sometimes would order our tacos on flour tortillas or order them with cheese, lettuce and tomato (instead of cilantro and onion). There was usually a small upcharge- no problem. Today, our server knowing us from our many past visits let us know before we ordered, that the menu had changed and that they would no longer allow us to order flour tortillas or to order lettuce/tomato/cheese. I was flummoxed. I would be willing to pay a nominal upcharge. Nope. Owner says no more. We asked if we could just get a side of cheese/lettuce/tomato- nope! We ordered 2 two taco lunch (specials) meals, a side of pico and 1 soda. Came to $34.50 and included a mandatory 20% tip. We eat out a lot. More than most people. We go to higher end places and dive places. We know we will spend money to eat out. But the price/value and customer service here has gotten to a point that we won't be returning. We haven't been here in a while. In the past, there seemed to be other customers and take out being done. Today, only one other table was occupied for the 40 minutes we were there. I just learned about this place and had to try it. We love authentic Mexican and picked up some carry out on a Friday night. I'm so sad to say that the food was just ok. I loved the market when you walk in and everything looked fresh and they had some unique items. The service was great but they really couldn't understand what I was asking for which could have led to the food just being ok. I got a beef burrito and quesadilla for my husband. He liked the quesadilla but didn't like the burrito. It looked like roast meat in a red sauce with green pepper which was dry and awful tasting. I ordered tacos and a gordita. Both were authentic but I've had way better for both. The shells on the tacos were hard but were blah tasting. I really wanted to like this cute little place so maybe we'll try again. read more

Around Christmas I purchased a take-out bag of chips and Guacamole, everyone loved them and asked where I got them from. The guacamole was so fresh and delicious. Yesterday, I got the same order, purchased around noon, and also added salsa. I brought both into work this morning in the original packaging. The guac was already turning brown in spots with a bit of brown liquid pooling at an empty spot in the bottom of the container. So, at Christmas this was a 5 star review; however, today only 4 as the guac seemed a little less than fresh or new mixed with old. Will be ordering again as they have a lot of interesting items on their menu and store - but this was not cool 2 brothers. Great authentic Mexican food! The place is a Mexican food market with a small restaurant in the corner. Yes lace was clean, had about 6-8 tables and you are waited on by a server. They bring fresh homemade chips and salsa. I had 3 tacos, el pastor, carnitas and chorizo. All very good with good portions of protein, onion and cilantro on double soft corn tortilla. Parking is in the back but not a lot of spaces. I didn't have time to look at the market but it looked like it had anything you would need to cook a Mexican meal at home. I only shop here when I can't go to south west the ladies seem to have an issue with minorities so they give off weird vibes and often make up the prices. I've come here maybeee 10 times to buy plantain beans sazón and dough for my Pastelillos and it's a different price every time . No matter how many times I come here I'm still so impressed with how authentic the taste is, and happy that I don't have to drive to Southwest, Detroit for real Mexican cuisine. Everything is simply delicious and the staff is very friendly. Also keep in mind if you want to shop for Mexican groceries you can on your way out. I live in Houston TX and was near here for business. Thought I would see how MI Mexican food is. Ordered the chicken fajitas. The chips and salsa came out first. Salsa was good (both types) but the chips tasted like store bought. To me chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants are very important and overall these were very average at best. Then the fajitas came out. The only beans they serve are refried and I like charro so that was a negative. The fajitas were actually quite good. A lot of tasty chicken with onions and bell peppers. Also ample amounts of tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream and guac. This small restaurant is attached to a small grocery store. Overall I give it a 3 which is a good score. I would eat here again. The fajitas were only 9.95 which is a good value. I would like to see better chips and more bean selection. It's a good neighborhood restaurant. Service was excellent. read more

Now, I will add a bit about the actual grocery store. They have a variety of cuts of meat at the butcher counter, including some pre marinated things like chicken fajitas and milanesas ready to be fried. Prices are in line with a specialty butcher shop, but the quality is also in line with that price point. The small selection of fruits and vegetables is decent, but the avocados are plump, tasty and excellent. The knob onions, corn and squash I got were good and fresh. Interestingly, this is the only store I have found that has more than a small selection of imported Colombian food products. So if you are looking for Colombian chorizo, candies or seasonings, this is a reliable source. read more

I have been to this establishment a couple of times and on both occasions I was not disappointed. Upon my most recent venture I ordered the carnitas taco, al pastor taco and a sopes. All were absolutely delish! The salsa was really spot on and the kiddos and I devoured it. My son had a ground beef burritos and kept saying how good it was after every bite. The prices are very appealing as well, and the food is authentic. Be warned though a 15% gratuity tip is already added on your bill when you receive it. Really disappointed, ordered a Milanesa dinner..the chicken was burnt to death n stale n chewy like a leather sole..next was a delicious enchilada roja with tinga de pollo..was good. Then came a huvevos a la mexicana..was ok cannot complain.. portion a bit small. So my major complaint was the Milanesa n the overly salted salsa with a real lack of acid..whoever was cooking today was not a happy camper!! The food is one of the best around! Fresh homemade salsa and chips. And I really enjoy the lunch specials that they have. 2 items plus beans and rice. All food is completely fresh and made to order. The rice is delicious, not dry like other places. Since the restaurant is attached to the market, if you wanted to shop for groceries after eating, they have a large selection. We have been here at least 10 times or more, and never disappointed with out meals. The only so-so thing, is that there is an automatic 15% gratuity on every check regardless of how many people. And it's not that I care about it being there, it's that no one ever said it was added, and it is in really small print so it's easy to miss. read more
