I've been coming here for a few years now to drop off my CRV recyclables. Dos Palos Recycling takes plastic bottles, aluminum cans & glass bottles. I've had good experiences coming here and they have never been too busy. I've been to previous terrible recyclable locations where nobody was working during their posted business hours, or there would be a huge line where I would have to wait a very long time to turn in my recyclables. I've never had any of those problems coming here. This place may seem hidden, but they are located behind the Del Rancho Supermercado. You can bring your recyclables to the back of the building, and the employees working there are very friendly & efficient. Very friendly and super easy going. A little hidden to find. They are at the end of a one lane alley in the McD's plaza on P & Olivia. A little tight and slightly more time with one way in and out . It's very common to see a few cars wait at one of the regular parking spots for a turn. read more

I usually take my 1-2 years worth or aluminum cans to the other spot Old First street called REFUND RECYCLING in Livermore but they were closed this Friday the 2nd of January 2026. Dos Palos -this place is on Olivina ave a stones throw from McDonald s .However I knew about this as a second choice and it turned out great. Finding it very tricky and it is really tucked in and hidden in a super small gated alleyway in the McDonald a shopping center plaza which is small itself. Luckily , they do have a banner flag in the ground which says "RECYCLING HERE". If you arrive at a gated place with a keypad your in the wrong spot . I luckily arrived after 4:00 pm when they were wrapping up for the Friday and it was medium busy not bad . We got a break in the storms so it wasn't raining at all so I we were very fortunate. I had a total of six black hefty garbage bags worth of aluminum cans which equaled to 8 of their grey garbage bins when transferred . At the end received $96 cash . The lady didn't give me a receipt but show me the calculations on her calculator. She spoke Spanish her English wasn't too good. At the end you write you name twice once just print then last a signature on their clipboard and they give you cash on the spot . I'll prob stick to the other recycling spot in Livermore which has a proper office and give you a receipt and is bigger than this one with more room. I'm glad I came here so I could tell the pros and cons of each center. Both are very good. End of the day all of my cans were accepted weighed on a scale and I was given my cash for my recyclables. read more

Ahhh, i drive all the way, because of her, she is so awesome strong woman coordinator.and works so hard, yes years here. I only will go when she is here 95% of the time. I've gone to Dos Palos Recycling a few times now. It's quick provided you've presorted your recycling. I tend to just bring garbage bags of cans over and as I'm pouring one bag into the garbage cans they use for weighing, I often get helped with getting the other bags poured in. While some folks drive their vehicles down the lane to get to where the weighing occurs, I park in the front area for ease of getting my car in and out. Then just carry my bags over. Getting cash back for the cans is great. Way better than the lazy route of throwing into recycling during weekly trash pickup. read more

Behind the back of a market. Only saw sign that says recycle and assumed i was supposed to pull in. After the first guy kind of ignored me, a lady came out and i told her i had recycling. I told her it was my first time and asked how it works. She checked what i had and brought me a barrel. I filled it up. And then went back to her to tell me i was done. She didn't turn around or acknowledge me at all for a bit, which i get if she was in the middle of something but at least tell me to give you a sec, don't just leave me standing there in silence. Anyway, when she was done writing whatever down, we weighed the barrel. It was about 120lbs of glass... she paid me $14. Not sure how things usually go but i GUESS it was a good experience. Only took about ten minutes. Wasn't busy during the weekday. Wish there were price listings or any kind of visible signage to explain the process if they don't have the time or care to do it in person, but maybe that's just me. read more

I decided to give Dos Palos Recycling a try yesterday because I saw that the other Livermore recycling place that I go to is closed on Sundays. When I pulled up, I was a little confused as to where I was supposed to go, but then I saw all the garbage bins to the left of the store. There was nobody there so I decided to back my truck up to the bins and the workers there helped me out immediately. I had 4 bags of plastic, maybe 50 aluminum cans and, and 20 glass bottles and he cashed me out $65 right as we read the weights to me. I didn't need a ticket or anything like that. Overall, I think I like this place better. I'll probably start going here more. read more

Friendly. Not a lot of parking. It's fast, they pay cash and are always helpful. It's a good place to go when you have a large load.

I've been coming here for years to recycle our cans. The woman that is there is so helpful, nice and honest. She is always dumps my cans for me, shows me the scale and gives me the correct cash. I've only went weekdays so maybe weekends are busier, just like anywhere is. It's a bit hard to find if you don't know where it is I'd say. The do have some signs saying "recycle". It's off to the right when you enter the parking lot, almost behind the market. When they don't have customers I've seen the lady and her helper cleaning around there. Albeit it's only 1 visit so far, but this place at least gives me another option to do some recycling. One of the best perks imo is that it nearby the other recycling center in Livermore and secondly they are open on Sundays. But, as of now I'm not sure how busy or hectic this place can get but like I said if the other recycling center is really busy or hard to get into, this place gives me an nearby option to get rid of my cans and plastic without trying to find another place to go. read more

I highly recommend this recycling center! When I pulled up, the lady was very nice and helped me with my cans and plastic bottles. She was friendly and efficient helping a few customers at a time. She keeps the area organized and very clean compared to some centers I've been to. It's a little hard to find. It's near the McDonalds and right next to Contreros Market. Look for the big recycling sign. It felt great to unload all the cans and bottles we've accumulated! read more

I needed to recycle some cans and bottles today and everywhere was closed on Sunday so I found this location on Yelp. I came there at 11am and I was the only one. These two gentlemen basically did all the sorting and unloading for me. They were very professional and this place was clean and not packed like other locations. Best Recycling center in Livermore and probably the tri-valley area for sure! Super friendly and helpful service and they don't rip you off like some other recycling centers. They paid more per pound for plastic and aluminum than other centers in the areas when I've compared the rates. A treat everyone kindly no matter who you are, no matter what gender, ethnicity age or etc. The lady who helps is always happy to help and appreciative and patient. They're there to do honest business and I'm always happy to give them my business to good company like this helping the community also Helping the environment and making an honest living by giving a well service to the community locally, and being the best in the area even though they are such a smaller scale than other centers and have less assistance. But somehow, even though there's less people working there, and I somehow get in and out faster during even busy times and always receive better customer service than the larger centers that have more people working there, and for the same amount of weight, I somehow come up with $10-$15 more when I go through post to the other centers in the area, which is very odd. Just a heads up, they are hidden off to the back area that's to the left of the Mexican market if you go down the side of it. the lady who runs the place there is hard-working and very sweet. I can always trust all get the best from my Recycling and I'm supporting good people and good business when I come here. I would not bother going to any other Recycling center if you're in Livermore anytime I've tried to go to anywhere else just to see if maybe some else have gone up. I always regret it and coming back with half the amount that I would've gotten this place be careful rates say something higher somewhere else because they have hidden costs that they don't tell you about once you get there, this place is hidden it is what it is and they appreciate your business and happy to quickly pay on the spot as soon as it's everything's been done getting weighted. The only Advice I would give you as pre-sort your different plastic aluminum and glass types prior to help expedite the process as you have to put each type in a different trashcan and make sure that they're emptied so when you get there, you can just get in line and grab the amount of trash cans. You need an empty and while you're right there and you're good to go. They do not discriminate against people who have large or even the smallest amount which is nice to see some people here there for those can mean a lot and the fact they don't turn someone away for small made me happy to see that shows that they really are there to help the community and treat all box of lives kindly, honestly, and fairly. But if for some reason you're not able to pre sort they're always pacient and happy to allow you to take your time and sort eneything out there using their bins, and are happy to assist you if you need it. I'm so glad to see this place sticking around for so many years, and I hope they will be for many years to come. Look No further , come to here for all of your bottles and cans Recycling needs! From someone who's been doing this for decades and makes sure to test other recycling centers in the area for the same amount periodically, it always comes back to this place by a wide margin. I needed to find a recycling place that is open on Sundays. I had a large amount -- a Honda Odyssey full -- of plastic water bottles to recycle. I found Dos Palos and I am sold ! The staff assisted me with unloading and dumping the plastic. The staff was very courteous and professional, the place was VERY clean and I received a very accurate price for the bottles. I was there for about 10 minutes from unloading, weighing and done -- on my way back home. It is worth driving to Dos Palos from Antioch. I highly recommend them for your recycle needs. read more

I used to go to the Pleasanton Transfer Station, but they closed since COVID. I found this place, headed there (kinda hard to find... it's to the left of the restaurant). But I pulled in, walked up and said Hello.... the lady immediately stopped sweeping, walked to my car & helped retrieve my cans, weighted them, put my empty bucket back into my trunk for me & handed me my cash about 30 seconds later. So, a couple of hrs before I came here I called to see how much they gave per lb for plastics. A guy answered and said $1.75. I was shocked because other places were about 50 cents less. I repeated to him "1 7 5?" He said "Yes." So I drive out of my way to bring a few bags by and as the lady was calculating, I said "So it's 1.75/lb right?" She said, "Oh, no it's $1.33/lb." I told her what the guy had just told me a few hrs before, and she apologized and said maybe he didn't understand me..I asked her if he was there and she said no but he's the owner. She offered to put my bottles back in the bag since she could tell there was a discrepancy w/ info I was given. I told her no, that's ok I'll just leave them here. I decided to call the guy right after I left and asked him if he remembers me calling him a few hrs before. He said "Yes." I told him I just left the place and was told $1.33/lb and that earlier he said 1.75/lb. He proceeds to LIE to me and say "No it's $1.33/lb." I told him that's not what he said 2 hrs ago.. Anyway, it was a latin lady that helped me, & I give her 5 stars for her customer service but I won't be comin' back. The owner's a liar. read more

I think this is the only recycling place open after everything shut down during the lockdown. The lady was nice, she came and helped us sorted our cans, plastic, and glass bottles out. This place is a little hard to find and can be easily missed but if u like stand right next to the mcdonald drive- thru line, u can see it. Great to see at least those guys are open despite COVID-19. That finally allowed me to drop off the many cans and bottles that started overflowing the dedicates bins I have in my yard. The recycling is easy to find thanks to the big flag on the entrance to the plaza. Employees were nice and you get paid by weight for the cans / bottles you drop off. read more

When the Replanet locations closed all over Calif. I was very disappointed, and there are only few independent recycle centers open for business out this way. I am thankful for Dos Palos. I have only dropped by twice this year but the lady who works there is so nice and very efficient. She called me "Amigo".
