I come from Livermore to use this laundromat. It's clean, reasonably priced and pretty empty on a Thursday night. I try to avoid the weekend rush, so I come on a weeknight. There are both regular sized and extra large washers. All of the dryers are pretty large, and can accommodate large comforters and blankets. You can use quarters, or pay with your card - it's super convenient. There's also a soda machine inside. It's pretty nice as far as laundromats go. Another great thing is that it is just a few doors down to Bob's Giant Burger!

I rarely use laundry mats but my dryer at home broke so I had to go somewhere. This place simply was the closest to me and seemed to be the cleanest. It was easily accessible & I got front row parking which made it easy to unload my clothes. I forgot laundry detergent so luckily there is a market in this shopping center that had exactly what I needed. Overall, I am grateful I found this place because I had a smooth experience. I paid about $6-7 for larger loads & about $2-3 to dry my clothes. I paid with card for the washers but dryers only take quarters. I was having some trouble when scanning my credit card on a machine so I had to move my clothes which was frustrating because I had already put soap in the top. The card reading machine was saying that it could not connect to satellite or something.

I would not recommend this laundromat! To start with, there's no management on side, if something goes wrong with the machines, that likely will, you are not going to have any help, one of the machines broke dow right after I put my money in it. Money and time wasted, second is expensive, $1 dollar above average, and last but not least, is not a clean space at all, like I said there is no management on side, no one to clean up.

The hubby stumbled upon this place thanks to TomTom. Who would've thunk that there'd be a laundromat in Pleasanton? It's your run of the mill laundromat. Since I had the time, I took note of some of the basics: -Hours: 7:00am - 10:00pm daily, last wash at 8:45pm [no joke! the lights went off on the washer-side of the room at 9pm] -The Goods: 5 top-loading washers ($2.50), 13 front load washers ($3.75), 5 BIG front load washers ($6.75), 20 dryers ($0.25/6 min.) -Extras: Soap Center available if you need to purchase soap, bleach, softener, laundry bag, Soda can vending machine -Coin- or card-operated: Coin (2 change machines on-site) -Location: plaza that houses a barber shop, nail salon, grocery/liquor store and Bob's Big Burgers, to name a few. The interior was a bit dirty, trash cans were full, dryer sheets lay strewn across the floor, empty drink container and a rogue sock. All of which is really a reflection of the patrons. (shrug) I assume that most people drop off their stuff and pick it up, as there are only 3 waiting chairs. Nothing really special here, but it doesn't really need to be. Good place to go to get your laundry on.

    For those in need.

Everything was clean, machines in working order and the ability to use debit cards was a win win.

Equipment worked well. Was clean except for litter on floor from customers. Seemed a little pricey for large washing machines.

Small but very clean. I like the credit card option on the machines, don't have to worry about having cash to get change.

It was decent but the workers here are absolute busy bodies and extremely overbearing. Husband and I have been coming for about the last three months as our washer broke and our landlord hasn't replaced it yet. However, today's the final straw. Incident One: About a month into using Ducky wash, my husband and I put our clothes in the wash and drove to target to buy a new clothes basket (20mins tops). We got back with 3 minutes still left on our timer and the older woman tried reprimanding us for "leaving our clothes." They weren't left, they were still going through their cycle? Incident Two: Then about three weeks ago, I pulled up on a busy Tuesday with a big load of laundry. One of the $9 machines had just finished a self-cleaning cycle so I went to put my load into the machine and the old woman worker told me she was about to use that machine so I couldn't. She was also using the two other $9 machines that were working! I told her I just wanted to use one of the three and she told me she "was doing an express order and needed all the machines because a man was paying her to have his bedding washed asap." Ma'am... I am ALSO paying?? It was a busy day and all the other machines that took Dexter Pay were taken so I had to wait for two $6 machines to open up, split my load and pay more. Third Incident: Today was the third strike for Ducky Wash & Dry. I put in my load. Great. It's a slow day, maybe two other people in the laundromat, 4 total cars in the parking lot. I wait in my car for my load to wash and go in to switch it from washer to drier. I get the clothes into the dryer and as I'm walking out, the grey haired worker stops me and tells me I need to move my car from where I'm parked because that's a loading parking spot... Ma'am, there are 4 total cars in the parking, you can load anywhere!! You do not own the parking lot, where I park is none of your business, worry about what's happening inside the laundromat. Which isn't a whole lot considering most of the machines are broken every time I come here. So if you enjoy being harassed by boomers, come to Ducky Wash! They have nothing else to do besides bother you and police everything you do!

Recently, I brought in three T-shirts to have both the bottoms and sleeves hemmed. I even brought a sample shirt and held it against each one to show exactly where I wanted the bottom and sleeves to fall. I was initially quoted $16-$28 per shirt depending on difficulty. Since these were basic T-shirts, I agreed. When I picked them up, I was charged $84, the full $28 for each shirt. After getting home, I realized none of the sleeves had been hemmed. I brought the shirts back and explained the issue. They agreed to redo two of them; the third was left as-is because they insisted the sleeve length was "close enough." When I returned for the other two shirts, they tried to charge me an additional $50. I explained that I had already paid $84 and was only bringing them back because the original work wasn't completed as requested. They then insisted I had only asked for the bottoms to be hemmed and that the sleeves were an additional charge. I know that's not the case because I specifically used the sample shirt to show them both the sleeve and bottom lengths on each shirt. On top of all of this, the quality of the alterations was poor. They didn't even attempt to match the thread color to the original stitching, which made the alterations noticeably stand out. For what they were charging, I expected much better attention to detail and workmanship. After I refused to pay a total of $134 to hem three basic T-shirts, she tossed the shirts on the counter, waved me away, and said "okay." Mistakes happen, but charging premium prices for poor-quality work, failing to complete what was originally requested, and then insisting I never asked for it rather than trying to resolve the situation professionally was too much. After years of being a customer, this experience was disappointing enough that I won't be returning. This could have been handled very differently.
