I took my kids to eat at Dos Tacos this morning. If you know me, I hate confrontation, but sometimes it's necessary. My daughter thought she ordered a Flaming Hot Cheetos burrito but realized she ordered the Nacho Burrito which has the Flaming Logo right by it on the menu. When we asked them to correct it, they charged us the difference, which is understandable. "Kayla" then started to whisper to the manager and I started to feel uncomfortable about getting the food redone, thinking maybe they would do something to it. Soon after, my daughter finds a bug in her burrito, so naturally I no longer want the other burrito or tacos I just ordered and paid for and I didn't want my money back either...I wanted to leave! The manager insisted and offered a refund to my oldest daughter. And refunded her the $4. Mind you I'm already in the car waiting. When my daughter came into the car she told me she got her $4 back, which wasn't even the price of the burrito btw. Then, the part that got me upset is that "Kayla" continued to make comments to the manager stating "what now" and rolling her eyes (which made my daughter feel very uncomfortable). Of course I'm upset that she did all this to my kids so I go back inside and asked the manager what the workers name was and she says "Kayla." Then "Kayla" shouts from the back and says "we can't give out our personal information!" I proceeded to tell "Kayla" that's not how you treat kids and she continued to dismiss me by shouting, "ok" while rolling her eyes. Then I told her to listen to my concerns while the manager kept talking over "Kayla" because she knew she was out of line. "Kayla" then shouts "ok sorry" with an attitude to dismiss me again. The biggest concerns for me was the bug in my child's food, the laughable $4 dollar refund, and Kayla's disrespectful attitude. At the end of the day, Yes my daughter ordered the wrong item, but they did charge us the difference. It should have been over at this point, but "Kayla" and her disrespectful attitude just couldn't let it drop. If this is what's happening at this establishment, if I were you, I would NOT ever go! read more

It was a Friday night and I was realllyyy craving an elote. I live on the east side but it was almost 9 pm so options were limited. Nothing Uber eats couldn't solve! I ordered the traditional elote with butter, Mayo, and chili, but they also have options for taki or hot cheetos crumbs. I also ordered the bacon wrapped hotdog with onions, cheese and jalapeños with a side of fries! Everything was delicious and surprisingly sooo hot- temp wise!! I've been visiting Dos Tacos for 2 years now. My favorite pick has always been Asada Fries. I can practically taste the amazing carne asada fries - the meat flavor is simply divine! The Hot Cheetos corn is a drool-worthy delight that adds a spicy kick. This small sitting approximately 15 people, clean restaurant with friendly staff has become my go-to spot in Bakersfield. Had really high hopes for this place since of the awesome reviews and I know of a few people who recommended this place. I ordered 2 chicken tacos and my husband got the two asada taco combo plate with an extra asada taco on the side. SUPER SMALL TACOS for 2$ each!! The flavors where for sure there BUT the asada meat and chicken meat where horribly dry and some peices burnt. The meats where flavored nicely but what's the point if there dry ? The rice was way overcooked and mushy, litterally my husband was making a sculpture outta them lol, The pinto beans where basic. The tortillas where semi hard and not fresh. The chucks of onions inside the tacos where huge and not chopped finely , so biting into one throws off the flavors and all you taste is intense onion. Skimmy on the cilantro. Guacamole on the tacos tasted good and was a refreshing touch. Salsa was on point, especially the green ones. "Grilled onions" at the salsa bar are not very grilled at all and again are in huge think chucks. Would like to see cilantro at the bar too. price for both meals was a little over 15$ so it was affordable but for the quality I could have gotten way better elsewhere for the same price. The Jamaica drink was very good and the highlight of my meal. The gentlemen who took our order was super nice too But... Wheres the passion and love in the food? I received a warm greeting from the staff and ordered 3 carne asada burritos t go my mistake I should have said dine in every one was enjoying good food so I thought I would get the same quality.I was passing by on assignment to my surprise when I got to my crew and handed out the meals one person strted to eat and stated that his burrito had 90% rice 5% beans and 5 % beef I thought it was a one burrito incident so I gave him mine and to my surprise the same thig when I asked the third person to try the same I was disappointed we did not get the same meals everyone was enjoying at the restaurant. I did call to complain and the person asked me if I wanted a refund but we were working out of town and already 45 minutes away not worth the drive I will definitely check the food when I order to go next time very disapointed read more

First off I would of gave this a 4 Stars, but I asked for pinto beans instead of black beans. They put black beans on. Instead of remaking the order the picked most of the black off and covered them with pinto beans. Now with that said, the place is clean the staff is friendly. I got the carne asada salad, yummy all except for the black beans. The spicy ranch is something I know will keep me coming back for. One of the co-owners asked how we liked our Nachos and when I gave them an honest review and told them we drove the 2 hours he was so kind and gave us a complimentary cheesecake burrito. Me and my gf barely started going not too long ago and immediately loved what they were bringing to Bakersfield BUT once I seen that this establishment DOESN'T wear gloves while making their food.... just made me feel so disgusted. The only reason I come here is because my wife likes their corn. I love all Mexican food. Even ok tacos are still tacos, plus I love to eat. The only time I ate here I ended up just tossing the Asada fries away. Maybe it was an off night? The fries were already soggy and the meat was bland and full of gristle. Fast food spot with elote?! And three different kinds?! I'm there! I could've cared less for the tacos, I was just coming for the elote and the carne asada fries. We tried both the traditional and the takis covered elote. The traditional was really good and I liked the butter sauce. But I definitely favored the one covered in takis! It was spicy but didn't burn my lips- I think the flaming elote would've definitely been too spicy for my liking, so if you like a little bit of heat but still want to taste everything, get the takis elote! My carne asada fries on the other hand were disappointing. It was a huge amount so quantity was definitely worth $7, it was practically falling out of the tray. But I didn't like the crinkle cut fries, and the nacho cheese made everything so soggy. I wish it was actual cheese on top. I did like the jalapeños and pico de gallo but just couldn't taste anything because of all of the nacho cheese. I was excited for the Horchata too but it's just from a machine and wasn't fresh. Not impressed whatsoever. The food was over priced and made to look like a lot. We ordered the Asada fries and a chicken burrito. The Asada fries looked like a big serving, well actually for the two of us it was enough but like I said previously, it's made to look like enough. Meat wise the Asada was finely chopped and maybe 1/4 of a cup worth of meat....so Not worth $7.95 the same for our burrito, it was filled with more rice and beans with about 1/4 of a cup of meat. Our meal came up just under $20.00 making me feel that we could have gotten something better for 20 bucks. Food is good, however the staff is always rude when we come in and the prices are outrageous for what you get. They blew up on social media and then let it go to their heads by raising their prices and not holding the staff to a higher standard of customer service. Tables are also always dirty and it's annoying to have to ask them to clean them so we can have a place to sit and eat. I paid $1.95 for the sad looking quesadilla in the attached picture, which is ridiculous. All they did was take 1 small corn tortilla, throw some cheese in, and charge me $1.95. Total rip off. We ordered 2 elotes and they didn't take the strings off the corn before covering with mayo butter and cheese. Every time we come here we are very disappointed but this just takes the cake. First time here i ordered through grubhub for pick up which i've done at other places without any issues. Well i send my son in to get the order and they tell him it was canceled that either the cashier pushed the wrong button or they said they saw it pop up but disappeared whatever the reason i had to go in and deal with it ugh....The girl at the register had no clue what to do or what was going on but the manager really sweet guy came up and said they were making the order and apologized for the mess up. My son liked his hot dog but said the burrito was too spicy for his taste and the sauce they put on it kind of killed the flavor of everything inside the burrito it just had a ton of bright red sauce in it that was bitter..:My nachos ugh the chips were good the pico was solid the steak was ok but that cheese sauce just ruined it for me. I would definitely prefer actual shredded cheese. I mean if what your craving is amusement park/high school football game type stuff this is definitely where you need to come lol because it screams of that. Very upset especially how the manager on duty Saturday 10 PM responded. The staff were very friendly and patient as it took a while for me to decide what I wanted ( everything looks so good ! ). The price I paid for such fresh quality ingredients was very little . The wait time was short and if they were out of something they were quick to refill it. Our food was packaged to go , but we wanted to experience the taste while it was still hot so we sat inside at a table to eat, the staff simply asked if we needed more utensils.
