Great food and customer service. Clearly labeled vegan options with staff who know the menu well and know what is vegan. The pastor volcan was amazing; I would recommend that. Cute, casual vibe inside and fast service.

Their customer service is top tier! Super nice people and they gave us a little treat on the house! The tacos were good and I had a little cup of fideos with mine and it was good! I also tried their arroz con leche and it was bomb!! The place is cute and they have lots of seating! It's a great spot overall and I'll be back for sure!

Enjoyed the Mexican food , but definitely a little on the pricer side. It was my first time there and the staff could see and recognize it quickly. The lady taking orders was very patient with the ordering process and was also providing recommendations. The whole staff was quite nice. We ordered the chips and queso which was okay, but the portion was a lot. Also had a tostada which was probably the best thing we had. It was so flavorful! If I go back, this is something I would order. Lastly , the quesabirria was a little bland for me. Again, the portion size was great but I would have enjoyed more flavor. The restaurant is pretty clean and there is a good amount of seats to dine in. Pretty nice decor around the restaurant. There is also plenty of parking at the store front.

Biggest takeaway from this place is EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted and treated super nice till the moment we left. The staff could tell it was our first time there as we took awhile to look at their "wall menu" and asked us to come to the counter so they can help us decided, giving us an easier to follow "hand menu." After we ordered they offered to add something on the house as first time customers which was really appreciated! They regularly checked in on us even though this is a casual dining and not fine dining where you would have a waiter who would. They really made sure we were have a great experience. Also, I noticed it wasn't just for us because we were first timers. They also went out of their way for other customers too, especially continuing to take to-go orders for people who came after closing time. Truly exceptional staff. As for the food, I was drawn here by pictures of their Quesabirrias, so of course that is what we had. It was definitely filling and good, but I just felt it was missing a little of the quesadilla side of it with the lack of cheese, so I improvised adding queso to it which helped. Speaking of queso, we did have chips and queso as well which were decent, but more notably it was plenty of queso which usually isn't the standard at most restaurants, as they tend to dish out less queso and more chips. It was nice to not run out of queso for once and have enough to use for other dishes and still take some home! The dish they provided on the house was their Tostadas, which was honestly amazing! I would have ordered these myself if I knew they were that good lol. There are three salsas to go with the food that they brought to the table: a red mild, green medium, and green hot. I tried both green salsas and was pleased with them. To drink, I had a bottled Jarritos fruit punch. Of note, they don't have fountain drinks here so you're are limited to bottled drinks - sodas (plastic and glass), juice, water, and beers. I also saw on the wall that they offer margaritas for happy hour, but I didn't see a bar anywhere. Lastly, the place has plenty of open seating and a very casual vibe. Our table had a sombrero on it and the entire place is decked out with traditional Mexican decor. I would also say it's very family friendly, as there were kids who seemed to have come after a little league game. For parking, there are plenty of spaces in the shopping strip it is a part of. Overall I highly recommend on just their customer service alone. However, their food is also good, and I can't wait to come back to try more and find out what is my favorite dish!

To know me is to know I love TACOS or any Mexican cuisine. Emmy family was very satisfied today . The tacos were were great and fresh ! The birria quesadillas are chefs kiss !! We also got to try a steak tostada I believe . Yummmy . We cleaned our plates and only took home the left over birria taco and my son's quesadillas lol The service was great. All smiles and I love that. The ambiance is family oriented and you deff can have a great time if you're naturally high spirited! I stay really close so I will be back GRACIAS Buena comida !!!

Wow! JUST FOUND MY NEW GO TO VEGAN MEXICAN SPOT IN HOUSTON AREA. The vegan options are plenteous. Good old taco shop style food. And yes they have vegan sour cream and vegan cheese. The soy based protein for the asada is flavorful. Next time I might ask them to cook it a little longer to make it not as soft and a little crispy but it was still delicious. The service was great! The person at the register took their time explaining the menu to us since it was our first time. The shop was clean and had great ambiance and decor. Definitely a must try if you love mexican food and need plant based options.

Last night we were officially over crawfish boils and craving something different when we passed a sign with my favorite word: tacos. Naturally, we made an immediate U-turn--and I'm so glad we did. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service matched it every step of the way. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality made us feel right at home (including a complimentary appetizer while we waited--such a thoughtful touch!). And I have to say--I told my husband they should change the name of their "chips & queso" to "attitude adjustment," because it'll turn any bad day into a good one Seriously... it's that good. Everything we ordered was delicious, and we honestly couldn't wait to get home and dig into the rest. Pro tip: no matter when you go, order breakfast tacos for the next day--trust me, your future self will thank you. Safe to say, we'll absolutely be back.

Stopped in after seeing the great reviews. Natalia waited on us and was so sweet. She explained everything on the menu, made great suggestions, and even gave us free tostadas to try since it was our first time. The Volcan tostadas were amazing!!!! The flavors just blended so well together. This will be a staple when visiting Katy.

Great spot, food is delicious and service was fast and polite. May have just found my new taco spot!!

Great food, vibe, and service! We came here for dinner and got chicken pastor taco, chicken quesadillas, shrimp and fish tacos. Love that they have Halal Chicken as well as vegan options! Everything is freshly prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Queso was amazing! The food gets better and better with each visit! read more

We stopped by here due to their menu that would easily accommodate our allergies and preferences, we are vegan and gluten free. They had several options and the food and sauces were amazing! The service was excellent and they very clearly stated that the food was vegan or not (1 out of the 4 of us is not vegan) as they handed it to us. We don't live super close to their location, but we will definitely be going back for sure! I highly recommend! read more

Super clean and inviting! ... I really liked the menu and the different verities to choose from. I went with a birria/carne asada bowl and I could not have been happier. It was very filling and delicious. The staff is very friendly, attentive and was on point with the up-keeping of the establishment. It's good to see smiles and a team working together, you know you're going to get food made with love. The homes around the area looked like mansions so I thought this place was going to be expensive but it was not. My only down side was that they did not have corn, yeah I know. They will be adding it to their menu come next week said the cashier. Nice place and really enjoyed my meal here. read more

I highly recommend making Dos Tacos a part of your "Taco Tuesday" tradition or ANY day of the week for that matter:D. Authentic food and drinks with a variety of delicious choices. We tried their Birria tacos and we gave them a Chef's kiss!!! Best Birria tacos in town. Great food at a great price. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, helpful and professional. This is the new go-to spot!! The staff makes you feel so welcome and you genuinely feel they value their customers. It's clean, the music is great, each time I've been I've witnessed the staff taking the time to explain the menu and make recommendations. The food is fantastic and there are so many vegan friendly options!!! I love the vegan asada and the vegan chorizo, and usually I don't care for vegan chorizo. Highly recommend! read more

Went here for the 1st time for a birthday lunch, and it was the right choice!! Menu looks abundant with choices. We ended up getting their 5 taco trio, and they were delicious. They were quite small, but each one was flavorful. My two favorites were the chicken and al pastor. My boyfriend got a cup of fido, too, and he said it was on point as well. I also got a regular size horchata it was good, but for me, it had too much grit at the bottom to it so had to remember not to drink with the straw all the way at the bottom to not get the grit from it. Overall, it was delicious, and I will definitely go back again and again. read more

Looking for traditional street tacos? Head over to Dos Tacos at 10610 Gaston Rd in Katy! Be sure to talk to the owner, Omar. He's got an incredible story--and he and his wife and their team are serving up some of the best tacos in Katy! I enjoyed the vibe and the tacos were fantastic; hubby got the sampler and I got the carnitas, birria and fish taco. Customer service was excellent too. Dos Tacos! Let me tell you about this amazing place full of flavor, smiles, amazing people, and oh so amazing food! I walked in and was immediately was welcomed by the staff, they gave wonderful recommendations and were even able to joke around with a wonderful sense of humor. I got the Quesabirria's, the sampler taco plate, a kids quesadilla, and 3 Barbacoa breakfast tacos. It was ALL AMAZING. I am very picky when it comes to tacos and birria but even more so with barbacoa. It was melt in your mouth delicious and I will definitely be coming back over and over. 10/10 Food, 10/10 service, and 100/10 atmosphere. This is our second time having Dos Tacos and it was amazing! Pictured are asada quesadillas, quesabirrias, two carnitas and one pastor street taco. Thats all we ordered...but it also came with a full cup EACH of the red and green salsas and a ton of fixings for the tacos. Great food, great service and one of our new favorite spots! read more

Been wanting to try Dos Tacos since they opened so today was the day and it did not disappoint. First, te restaurant is very cute and festive, clean and the staff was super nice. I tried the Asada Volcan street taco while I waited for my order and it was delicious. I got my order to go and was super pleased with the portion size on the Asada bowl, chips and queso and the food is delicious. I will be returning soon and recommend everyone to try this place out. read more

Passing through and saw this place. These are the real deal - casero tacos. Great flavor and true to the origin of casero tacos. Clean and specious when I swung by a bit after lunch. After about 10 minutes, I simply returned to ask whether my order had been placed and if it was ready. I was not upset, in a hurry, or complaining. I only wanted confirmation that my order existed because the employee kept responding, "No orders, no orders," despite me showing him my receipt. Due to an apparent language barrier, I called my Hispanic husband and handed the employee my phone so he could ask the same simple question in Spanish. Instead of helping, the employee began yelling at my husband. Another employee joined in, and both started yelling while walking away with my phone. When the phone was returned, I still had no idea what had happened or whether my order was being prepared. The situation escalated for no reason. The employees began yelling at me, aggressively slammed the service windows shut, ignored me, and treated me as if I had done something wrong. I remained calm throughout the entire interaction and repeatedly stated that there was no problem--I simply wanted to know if my order had been placed. Eventually, the food was thrown together carelessly, shoved into a bag, and handed to me with obvious hostility. The food quality was terrible, and the customer service was even worse. What disappointed me most was that this entire situation was completely unnecessary. I was respectful, patient, and simply asking a basic question. The combination of an employee who appeared intoxicated, the aggressive and unprofessional behavior from both employees, and the poor quality of the food made this one of the worst customer service experiences I have had. This is at 3:20 PM on June 16th. One of the guys is/was bleeding and this is just a bad day all around. The food is good, the meat is always savory and juicy. Really depends on who you get cooking. Either way I don't appreciate how my wife was treated and I want to believe this was just a bad day. Things to consider. Good atmosphere and solid food truck experience.

Today, we had the absolute pleasure of visiting Dos Tacos in Katy, Texas, and from the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and thoughtful recommendations. We tried several menu items, including the Fideo, El Cactus taco, and Egg & Potato taco, and were generously gifted the Vegan Asada Taco, which was nothing short of amazing. The flavors were next-level, especially with their handmade salsas and pickled onions, you can truly taste the love and care in every bite. My meal brought me to tears because it reminded me so much of my late mother's home cooking. It was a deeply personal and heartwarming experience.
