This place is awesome, when I lived in Bellevue I'd frequently come here on Sundays after church. The dosas are crispy and delicious, and the man that I assume is the owner is so nice, always dutifully sweeping and taking away plates with a big smile. Don't come here for ambiance, expect sort of a food-court kind of vibe where you can get a lot of delicious food quickly. This is a super chill, casual spot for fire dosas and chaat -- you order at the counter and seat yourself, they call out the numbers for food. We split the dishes family style and it was SO. GOOD. For the food: Dahi Poori -- the dahi was so good and the pooris were perfect too. A classic done right! Mango Lassi -- I LOVED (!!!) it, it wasn't too sweet and the perfect amount of thickness without being too watery or thick. Channa Bathura -- the curry was so good and the roti was SO. GOOD. Dosa house serves south Indian food with constantly great quality, wait times are minimal, food taste is consistent, plenty of parking.

Assuming this is the same ownership as Chaat House in the area as well, same branding at least. It's an amazing menu, to be honest. It will take you minutes to decide what you want, so try to do it ahead of time if you can. Parking is ample, just drive carefully as there are many families and kids in the plaza. Everything we have tried here has a fresh and authentic taste. The service is fast. There can be a long line during prime dinner and lunch time. It's a no-frills kind of place. Cafeteria style so you will seat yourself at a table, clear your own table if you can. There is a friendly uncle coming around to give the tables a wipe down from time to time. I've tried masala dosa, baby corn Manchurian and fried rice. The dosa is by far the best thing we have ordered out of those. Pricing is standard for Redmond. This place has become one of our favorites when it comes to Indian food. My wife and I made our second trip down to Bellevue and both times we ate at this place. This is a self serve restaurant. You will place an order at the counter and pick up from the counter. Open seating as well. The menu is diverse and has great chaats (appetizers) and a great selection of Dosas. Spice level: Please be mindful of the spice level at this place as they do use diced hot green peppers. Anything with the word "Chilli" in it is literally spicy. Food: My wife got the Onion Masala Dosa and I had the Onion Chilli Masala Dosa. Drinks: Thumbs Up and Masala Chaas (Masala buttermilk) It was the perfect portion. 1 plate per person is recommended so you can enjoy all the sauces that come with the dosa. It's favorlful and spicy I have tried their dosa , chhole bhature , amrtisari kulche and chilly garlic chow mein Though the place is called Dosa house - I think North Indian food and chaat is where they shine! I love their chhole bhature fried dough ball (shaped like balloons) with flavorful and sliced chickpea gravy . The best I've had in the Seattle east side. . 5/5 The Amritsari kulche come with chhole , yogurt and some salad . Delicious 5/5 Chilly garlic noodles (3.5/5) it reminds me of the street style chowmein in Delhi. Though I love spicy food, I think they should either ask for a spice level for chowmein or tone it down in general. I BESEECH YOU NOT TO LEECH! I stopped in Dosa House at the corner of Bel-Red Road and Northup Way in Bellevue, on Saturday, October 1, 2022. It's located where Kidd Valley Burgers used to be. I initially came in there to use one of their two unisex restrooms as I had to go real bad. But not to be a leech, I felt it only right to buy something if I use the restroom. I'm glad I did! PRICE MEH, BUT SPEED AND FOOD, YAY! I ordered one Indian Veggie Burger for $11.99 plus $1.20 tax equals $13.19. And yes, they accept Apple Pay. Otherwise, all I had was a couple of Styrofoam cups of water. As for the burger, It might seem a tad pricey, but it was big and literally finger licking good. This burger will whoop the Whopper's ass any time! And even though I stopped in there at their busy lunch hour, it only took about 15 to 20 minutes at most to wait for my order to come up per their sign (see photo). Surprisingly, there was hardly any waiting at the order line during the whole time I was there. After you order, they call out your number on your receipt. SERVICE NOT ONLY FAST, BUT FRIENDLY, 2X YAY! The service was friendly, as the guy that seemed to be in charge (Hadji I think) showed me the condiments, including telling me which condiments should be used on my veggie burger. Later, I was looking for a trashcan when one older turbaned employee (very friendly!) took my trash from me and cleaned up where I had just eaten. I even had a little bit of a rapport with him re: describing a trashcan that was amusing to him. LUNCHTIME PARKING = CRUNCHTIME The main parking lot next to Bel-Red Road perhaps is inadequate, especially around lunchtime. But they also have more parking to the side and behind the restaurant, located on the strip mall driveway between Bell-Red and Northup Way. When I arrived, every single space was taken, except one. Three guesses where I parked. "GOOD" RATING IS NOT AN EVIL RATING Two other minor critiques were I did not see a trashcan by the main north entrance, though I did see one by the west entrance. The other one is re: the King County Health Dept sticker on their front door, rating their restaurant operations as "good", rather than "excellent", as I have seen on all other restaurants that had that a sticker. But hey, that's better than "OK", and "Needs Improvement." I would give both of these little nit piques a rating of "MEH" (not a "BOO"). TRANSLATION: not the best, but no big. ...Now stop complaining and enjoy your lunch! read more

Covid created shortage of spices/salt...thats what i learnt when i ate bland dosas/chutney here. From the makers of chaat house comes another store - Dosa house. Although unlike their other place the people here are masked and polite but yet they did not ask single dine in party for vaccination proof. Place is clean and airy with open seating. I got the schezuan dosa, mysore masala dosa and dal vada. Every single item lacked salt except one green coconut chutney. Schezuan masala dosa was just like plain dosa, you would see hints of the spicy tangy schezuan paste if u very, very VERY carefully observe and u may get a hint of taste if u try real hard...hahaha. Mysore masala dosa followed the suit of being bland and all the accompanying chutneys gave company...except the green cocunut chutney - that was the rebellious item not wanting to join its other bland siblings. Masala -potato filling and sambar were just about average. You are better off driving 12 miles south to issaquah to get better dosas. read more

I now understand why they are the most popular Indian place in the Seattle area. Crowded, small space, but efficient and tasty food. Their dosas of all kind were fresh, tasty and large in size. We found them quite filling. Vada Pav was large and yummy too. Tried some indo Chinese with Szechwan noodles, another spicy hit from them. Overall, all the food tasted great and fresh. I have been to many Indian outlets in San Diego in the last 3 years. Never have I ever come across anything close to this. This outlet in Seattle is the real deal. We found it off a Google search. I don't know why they have a low rating but our experience was really great. The people at the counter were nice and friendly. They have to keep moving fast though since the lines can get long in a matter of minutes. It was difficult to read the menu without drooling specially since the aroma of the eats wafts through the kitchen in front of you. We ordered Raj Kachori, Aaloo Tikki & Chowmein. I was confused between veg and chili garlic. The person taking my order said his personal preference was veg. So we went with that. We sat down to wait for our order. The sights, smells and the orders being called out made us walk back to the counter to order for Chole Bhature. Sat down. The order came pretty quickly. Everything tasted like we were back in India by some epic roadside stall which are famous for their chaat creations. Loved it! We went back a third time to the counter. This time to order filter coffee. Was good too. We had ordered more than we could eat and packed the chaat to go. Next morning, we were heading out the city early and no eateries were open yet. For those who are new to dosa, it's a savory rice and lentil crepe served with potato curry on the side and sambhar (lentil soup). The portion of dosa was huge for $9.99. Happy with that. We ordered food from the Dosa House for my moms birthday dinner. We ordered paneer, aloo and puri, channa puri, vegetable Manchurian, burnt garlic fried rice, and spicy noodles. I had called ahead the day before and spoken to the manager about the food, he was very helpful in helping me select items. I appreciated him not pushing me to get more or bigger trays. On the day of the order, I called him again and he remembered me. I placed the order at noon, with a 5pm pick-up time. When I got there at 430pm, they were preparing the food. Everything turned was freshly made. I was concerned about driving with all the food, I didn't want to spill anything in my car. They did a really good job of packing/wrapping the trays.
