Food was surprising good for an happy hour snack. Fresh and healthy! Keep up the good work

Dosa hut was so good!! I believe it was my first time here (I'm not sure whether I may have come many years ago) and I was really impressed. We shared a ghee paper dosa and paneer dosa and both were so delicious. The ghee paper dosa was just a classic texture of what you expect and was the perfect comfort dosa. The paneer was really well done, not too much but just enough for good flavors! Sambar and chutneys were so yummy too, loved everything!! Service was great - food came out very fast and staff are nice. The inside is a no frills, not overly done kind of place - don't let that fool you because it's really great overall!

This is the oldest and consistently serving good quality place in Fremont. Been going there for more than 6 years now. Food is always fresh, there are so many options in Fremont now but this place is really great. The chai is also good ( has ginger in it )

TLDR: Good food, hole in the wall kind of eatery, quick service We tried Dosa Hut and it though came highly recommended by friends it dint quite live up to the expectations- as the expectations set were really high . The ambience is neat and tidy a bit congested but nothing that's not expected of a quick serve south Indian joint. We tried their Kara dosa, idli vada and idli vada upma combos and the taste was really good. Great apart about the upma was that it wasn't too oily and dint leave a ghee /oil layer! Overall a good experience.

Dosa Hut will always be my favorite place to go for breakfast and thats irrespective of the four stars. This place has its flaws and great things. You have to know couple of things and the owner really has to read my reviews. 1. Going here early Morning like 8:30am is the best bet if you want to eat their Upma which comes in C6 (Combo 6) 2. They are frugal in giving extra chutney sambhar for togo but when you are seated there, you can happily see they will give u extra chutney sambhar if you ask. 3. The person who works at counter and I have seen them change since 14 years of my going there but they are respectful and kind. 4. The food is fresh when u go in morning. After that Upma I have found not so fresh. Idly and Vada are sometimes fresh and sometimes not post like 11:00am. 5. Medu Vada I have gotten more fresh than not. 6. Their Dosas are good too and so are their Uttapams. 7. The place is not the best ambience and is like a normal canteen like sit in place with limited seating. 8. The person who takes the dishes is a very nice lady and human being and please tip her in cash if u can. They work very hard there. 9. Like majority of Indian food places in the mid range, I doubt any tips from the check and credit card payment goes to employees. 10. If they fix the frugality of serving chutney and sambhar for togo orders, I would give them 5 stars.

    C2 Idly, Vada, Dosa

I had the combo of Idli, Vada, and Dosa -- everything was absolutely delicious! Even the chutney and sambar were flavorful and authentic. It reminded me of South India -- the taste is truly genuine. Service was great. Definitely recommend!

Went for lunch on weekday. Got the onion uttapam which was good, though it was thicker than other uttapams i had recently. The 2 dipping chutney were ok but not spectacular. There is no lunch combo/meals for uttapam, but my order still came with a small cup of sumbar soup, always one of my favorite. Price was extremely reasonable, will be back to try the dosas next time.

I only ordered a mango lassi because I was passing by on my way to Bart The lassi was very good, and even tho it was an odd hour of 3 pm ish, there were many people in there eating Next dentst appointment I'll definitely order some food,

It's a small restaurant close to the cinelounge theater. We ordered idli and Mysore masala Dosa. I'd give dosa 4/5 and idli 2/5. Sambhar and chutney's were okay too. Overall the food was okay!

Went for brunch on a Friday morning. The service was fast and we got our food within fifteen minutes of ordering. This is our favorite spot to get dosa and poori. I love the poori masala with chana, so tasty and freshly made. They also sell the chutney separately! I would highly recommend coming here!

It's just a little cold in there for some reason. We started with a watermelon spritz and the inji-puli lotus appetizer since we'd never tried anything like that, and it was very yummy and had such a nice crispy but soft texture. It was also a good portion for all four of us. We got the goat curry and the chettinad spice vegetables, and a few parathas to share. We were afraid it wouldn't be enough but the parathas are actually very filling, and also have a really great texture of both crispy and soft, and delicious flavor. The curries were good, could have used a bit more salt but good spice. The stars of the show were the desserts - this deserves its own section because omg I'm still thinking about the desserts!!! We got the gulab jamun brûlée - an amazingly well done take on creme brûlée with a perfect top, easy to crack and beautifully flavored. The filling was amazing and sweet and so so yummy. They also were kind enough to give us a complimentary chocolate cake which was absolutely amazing. I'm generally not too impressed by chocolate but the quality of this cake was phenomenal with perfect sweetness and richness. I need these two again !! Definitely recommend coming here for an occasion.

The space is absolutely beautiful, which explains why reservations are so hard to come by. I somehow snagged a last-minute outdoor reservation for four, but three more people joined us at the last minute. When we arrived, I asked a gentleman who looked like the manager if we could move indoors because it was cold. Even though they were very busy, he found us indoor seats in a perfect spot -- we definitely got lucky. We were a party of seven, half of us vegetarian. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share, and everything was great, but the vegetable biryani stole the show for me. I don't come from India, so take this from a non-native -- it was hands down the best veggie biryani I've ever had. The flavors were incredible, and it came with raita and a chutney that paired perfectly. I kept thinking about it even after trying everything else. Other highlights: the gunpowder idli was mind-blowing, and the lotus root appetizer (my first time trying lotus root) was a delightful surprise -- great texture and flavor. The dosa was soft and exactly how I like it (I'm not into crispy dosa), and the paratha with the vegetable curry was delicious too. The meat dishes my friends ordered got rave reviews from them as well, but I was still daydreaming about that biryani. Service was excellent -- the staff were kind, patient, and especially attentive to the kids in our party. When the restaurant is busy there can be a wait for food, but trust me: every bite is worth the wait. Highly recommend Anantara if you want a beautiful dining experience with outstanding food.

It was sweet, flavorless, dry and lacking spice - four out of four people didn't like it. I definitely won't be trying it again. The Mutton Biryani, was flavorful and definitely many times better than chicken biryani. The Haleem was the absolute best item we ordered and a definite hit, making it worth trying again. Be warned about their 'Family Pack'. It's advertised as a family size but serves about two people, not definitely four, which is quite pricey for a 32oz bucket at $40. While the Haleem's quality justified the price as a seasonal item, the 'Family Pack' concept for biryani is poor value. I'd recommend the Haleem and Mutton Biryani, but steer clear of the Chicken Biryani and don't expect the "Family Pack" to feed more than two, 3 at best.
