    Paneer Dosa

Dosa hut was so good!! I believe it was my first time here (I'm not sure whether I may have come many years ago) and I was really impressed. We shared a ghee paper dosa and paneer dosa and both were so delicious. The ghee paper dosa was just a classic texture of what you expect and was the perfect comfort dosa. The paneer was really well done, not too much but just enough for good flavors! Sambar and chutneys were so yummy too, loved everything!! Service was great - food came out very fast and staff are nice. The inside is a no frills, not overly done kind of place - don't let that fool you because it's really great overall!

This is the oldest and consistently serving good quality place in Fremont. Been going there for more than 6 years now. Food is always fresh, there are so many options in Fremont now but this place is really great. The chai is also good ( has ginger in it )

Food was surprising good for an happy hour snack. Fresh and healthy! Keep up the good work

TLDR: Good food, hole in the wall kind of eatery, quick service We tried Dosa Hut and it though came highly recommended by friends it dint quite live up to the expectations- as the expectations set were really high . The ambience is neat and tidy a bit congested but nothing that's not expected of a quick serve south Indian joint. We tried their Kara dosa, idli vada and idli vada upma combos and the taste was really good. Great apart about the upma was that it wasn't too oily and dint leave a ghee /oil layer! Overall a good experience.

I had the combo of Idli, Vada, and Dosa -- everything was absolutely delicious! Even the chutney and sambar were flavorful and authentic. It reminded me of South India -- the taste is truly genuine. Service was great. Definitely recommend!

Went for lunch on weekday. Got the onion uttapam which was good, though it was thicker than other uttapams i had recently. The 2 dipping chutney were ok but not spectacular. There is no lunch combo/meals for uttapam, but my order still came with a small cup of sumbar soup, always one of my favorite. Price was extremely reasonable, will be back to try the dosas next time.

We usually like dosa from here, and so our movie night we decided to come early and have dosa. This place is following all the covid protocols and the tables are cleaned frequently. We ordered paper ghee dosa and puri baji along with Madras coffee. Food was delicious and we were glad to sit and eat at the restaurant. It's not very expensive and a casual sitting place. If you want to have dosa definitely try it out here.

Went for brunch on a Friday morning. The service was fast and we got our food within fifteen minutes of ordering. This is our favorite spot to get dosa and poori. I love the poori masala with chana, so tasty and freshly made. They also sell the chutney separately! I would highly recommend coming here!

They have a bright and airy space, although the fake plants at the entrance make you wonder if this really is an upscale place. They also have an outdoor patio where we saw a group dining with one of their furry friends. For appetizers, we ordered the Kerala chicken fry - well seasoned and crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. For the entrees, we got a potlam goat biryani - a delicious biryani wrapped in a banana leaf served table side. We also got the Fish Pollichathu, a fish grilled with a tomato based topping that was wrapped in a banana leaf and served with a tapioca mash and rice. All the dishes were delicious. The portions are generous and we ended up with leftovers to take back home. We also received a complimentary gulab jamun creme brulee since I was part of their mailing list and a pistachio tiramisu to celebrate our special occasion. A truly wonderful experience that made our evening special. We will look forward to returning to sample more of their offerings.

Casual fine dining. Decent seating, good for groups. Decent prices. ***FOOD: we tried a whole bunch of items- *crispy baby corn-3.5/5- very crispy with a sweet and tangy coating indicating liberal vinegar usage. *malai soy chaap: 3.5/5: excessive usage of malai(aka fat). Indulgent and decent enough for a small serving. *vellulli kaaram paneer-3/5- lacked salt. Paneer was softish but felt a bit chewy and hard in places. *black pepper mushroom curry- 4/5- this was my favorite dish that evening. The fragrant curry leaves, earthiness of the mushroom and the black pepper created an intoxicating combination. It was floating in excess oil but was lip smacking delicious. *chilli garlic Naan: 4.5/5: I normally don't rate naan as they are non descript but the version here was wonderful. Thin, not burnt on the downside and paired oh so well with the mushroom curry. *Egg biryani- 3.5/5- this was spicy rather than being flavorful. Since it was made with egg, I didn't mind the spice.

I'm motivated to write this review specifically for 3 items that I enjoyed a lot. Lasuni Soya Chaap, Mushroom Pepper Fry and Chilli Garlic Naan. All 3 tasted amazing and made the experience all the more better. Lasuni Soya Chaap was flavorful, with generous amounts of garlic Chilli Garlic Naan was so good, that it didn't need another curry on the side. It was a novel idea and was a hit! Mushroom Pepper Fry was spicy but with pepper, the best way to spice things up! Enjoyed it. We also ordered Egg Biryani. It was so disappointing - very bland, both the rice and egg. Chili Paneer was just ok. Seemed like a tad bit extra ketchup Babycorn 65 was crispy and good too. The next time I come here, will max out on the appetizers, they seemed to be doing a great job. Coming back to try their non-vegetarian menu.

Mains: absolutely have to try the pepper chicken! Delicious!! Don't get the madras chicken and get the chicken korma instead. The gravies were distinct and had a good taste for both pepper and korma. It was sweet, flavorless, dry and lacking spice - four out of four people didn't like it. I definitely won't be trying it again. The Mutton Biryani, was flavorful and definitely many times better than chicken biryani. The Haleem was the absolute best item we ordered and a definite hit, making it worth trying again. Be warned about their 'Family Pack'. It's advertised as a family size but serves about two people, not definitely four, which is quite pricey for a 32oz bucket at $40. While the Haleem's quality justified the price as a seasonal item, the 'Family Pack' concept for biryani is poor value. I'd recommend the Haleem and Mutton Biryani, but steer clear of the Chicken Biryani and don't expect the "Family Pack" to feed more than two, 3 at best.
